WOW.. big wow! Coming from a place where my little furry one has special needs this was deserves more than 5 stars. I am not just saying this (I promise) From the second I walked, starting with the cleanness smells amazing in there, visibility to the rooms where they groom and the amazing customer service! This was my first time dropping off my little one. Charlene took the time to listen to our needs and also made me feel SO AT HOME! by the time I had to leave her behind, I was not once hesitant that my little puppy was in great hands! Later I received a text from the owner, Karen. Man is she cool! she thanked me personally for trusting her with my little one. I made an appointment, took the afternoon off to bring my dog in and arrived on time. I was told curtly I did not have an appointment -- as though I were trying to sneak my dog for grooming. When I showed the confirmation email on my phone, all the desk person did was hand me a card and tell me to "take it up with the owner." So I went home and wrote the owner to tell her what happened. I've had no response, so clearly she also doesn't care that she's inconveniencing her clients. This is not how a dog salon in Greenwich should be treating its customers -- human or canine. read more

After one year of bringing my two dogs (Maltese and Malti-poo) to K9 I can tell you it only got better and better. The entire staff is so friendly and caring and love the pets like their own. Karen could not have been more accommodative to me and my Westie. I was in desperate need of someone to groom my dog as in New Jersey no groomers are allowed to operate due to Covid-19. Karen was able to fit me in the day after I contacted her without hesitation. Her team did an amazing job on Stella. It was also very comforting to see the procedures they had in place to limit interaction between customers and staff to protect everyone including our furry friends. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. My wife and I used to be fans of K9 studios, but performance has continually declined over time 1. They will never answer their phones or respond to voicemails, which is completely unacceptable when you are trying to determine when to pick up your puppy 2. They never honor pickup times--we were supposed to pick up our dog at a specified time--we came by at that time--our puppy was no where near being ready. A simple courtesy call would have been appreciated, but don't expect anything from this organization 3. They make up B.S. policies, including "if we can't demat your dog in 30 mins, then we have to shave your dog or we can't groom your dog". Absolutely ridiculous--this is a standard grooming service!!!! 4. Their new dog daycare service is absolutely located in the wrong space. During the day they take outside the dogs that are in daycare and block the entire entrance to get to K9 Studios. Our dogs were so scared because they had their dogs jumping on ours, that we had to pick up our dog and take her inside the studio. Once inside, our dogs wanted to leave --not the type of environment you want to leave your beloved family member!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous they call themselves a business. Greenwich deserves better--they should sell or shut down their business and let someone more deserving take their lease! read more

If you care about your dog..go somewhere else. We had heard nothing but great things about this place and how timely their grooming was, boy were we wrong to try this place out. We brought in our 10yr Old English sheep dog for an 11:30am appointment to get his summer-cut where we shared a little about him (including that because of his age he cannot stand for long periods of time and he has bad arthritis) we were told "No problem, we will take great care of him" and that the appointment would be 2-2.5hrs max. They had also told us that payment needed to be made before the service where we then tipped them expecting our boy to be treated with great service and respect. Hearing this we were thrilled with the time frame and left to start our day. This is where the nightmare began.... We arrived back to the studio at the designated time excited to see our boy only to walk in and see that he is in a kennel fit for a much smaller dog with nowhere to move and clearly had not been touched yet. When we asked the woman behind the counter "Has he even been washed yet? or cut or anything?" she replied with "He will be done in 30 mins". We said thank you and left to come back. When we arrived back the 2nd time (3hrs after the original drop off time) our dog had only been washed and was being dried. I walked in and asked "How is everything going? has he been cut at all yet?" the woman behind the counter answered back "He's a big dog, he's almost about ready to be shaved". I thanked her and headed back outside. After another 30 mins I walked back inside to see that only his back half had been trimmed so i asked "Can you tell me how much longer it is going to be? He has already been here for 4hrs when we were originally told 2-2.5hrs at the most and like we had mentioned at drop off that he is 10yrs old and has a hard time standing for long periods of time, we also will be waiting in the parking lot since we have driven 30 miles and weren't expecting it to take this long" She replied with "We'll call you when he's done" and walked away from me. After several trips inside and our dog visibly not given service to, you can see where our frustration and worry was coming from. At this point we just wanted our dog our of this place, he had been either; on his feet for much longer than promised or in a kennel that was not for his size. At 4:15pm (almost 5hrs after drop off time) I walked back in to get our dog out of this place. I walked in and said "We'd like to get our dog out of here it has been much too long, especially for his age. We're taking him home". At that point the owner had walked over where she began to talk over me saying "He is a large dog and the time frame is completely normal" I followed with "then why were we told that the max time frame would be 2.5hrs? It has been 5?" She began to tell me that she wasn't here when the time frame was given . I asked for our tip back (that we paid before the service began because we believe that tipping is the right thing to do for a small business). She then told me that she will not be refunding my tip because 4square does not "work on Saturdays" and that she wouldn't do it. After explaining where our frustration and worry is I asked "you can see where our worry is and why we are frustrated?" She then told me "I don't need your money" yet, wouldn't refund me the tip amount we gave? At this point the woman behind the desk chose to yell over her owner in my direction obscenities and told me to "Leave or the cops will be called" and also that "This type of complaining usually comes from a woman, not a man". I then explained that "It doesn't matter if I'm the first or the 500th customer to ask for a tip refund, the right thing to do is try and make it right" she then laughed in my face and said "I don't need your money". I couldn't believe the service we were given. I had never been spoken to by an owner like this in my life nor had I heard about anyone experiencing this. I would advise anyone that cares about; customer service, being treated like a person, and more importantly their loved animals..should go elsewhere. I discovered this place through a friend, and decided to visit based on her recommendation. I have a big dog that requires constant grooming and maintenence, so finding K9 was a godsend. The receptionist Charlene is sweet and the rest of the staff is knowledgeable and experienced. They provided the utmost care for my dog, and she left very happy. I might say this was one of the worst experiences I have had. The appt lasted over 3 hours longer than it should. I was told over the phone 2 hours and I am still shaking my head that it ended up at 5. When I asked about that, I still am not sure what the answer was. The cost that was on the website is not what I was charged, in fact it was 30% higher. I did not get the new customer discount as advertised on the website. The dog left shaking and panting, and the collar on him was loose and he slipped out of the collar. They always do such a wonderful job with my two littles (Malti-poo and Shih-tzu/Yorkie mix). The cut is perfect, but the service is wonderful. It starts with Charlene up front. She's so nice and helpful. The groomers are great, and the owner Karen makes sure everything runs smoothly. No need to worry about long wait times. I am very happy to have found K9 Studios. The salon is very clean and the staff and owner Karen extremely nice. My shih Tzu Daisy has gone there twice and I felt like they really listened to what I wanted. She came out looking fantastic and the visit was only 2 hours long instead of all day. I also like that they only groom 2 dogs at a time. Daisy was happy to return for the second visit - pulling me in - so she obviously had good treatment. I highly recommend this pet salon and think it is a wonderful addition to Greenwich. read more
