My Penny Lane has been a regular both as a day timer and an overnight boarder for four years. She gets so excited when she sees where she is when we pull into the parking lot. She loves all the staff and has to say hello and good bye at drop off and pick up. Wagmore follows instructions perfectly with respect to administering medications and feeding. Wagmore also offers dog grooming, de-shedding baths that includes tooth brushing. I never ever worry about Penny when she is at Wagmore because literally she is like their own dog! read more

Our mini Aussie had her evaluation at wagmore today and it seems to have went great! The drop off process was super easy! We got a quick tour of the area, a run down of services/general Q&A, and then we left our dog for several hours. This was the first time in a VERY long time that we haven't had our dog 24/7 because of covid. We were happy to give our fur baby some extra play time with other dogs and we felt super comfortable leaving her. She is exhausted (in a good way) and we are so happy we found a place that it seems we can trust and know that our dog is enjoying herself. I don't know why I haven't left a review of wagmore sooner but I literally don't have enough space for all the good things I could say. My dog has been going to wagmore since we got him and even back then (4 years ago) when he was a little rough around the edges to say the least, wagmore welcomed him with open arms. Beth and her staff are absolute saints and I trust them completely. Not only does my dog go to daycare at wagmore but he boards there as well. The staff at wagmore is so caring and attentive I never worry when I am away. One time when he was boarding, the staff noticed my dog had a fungus between his toes. They called me right away, took him to my vet, filled his meds and applied them for the rest of his stay. Does my dog come back stinky and dirty sometimes? You betcha! Dropped my dog off for a grooming (70.00) after an overly complicated sign jn experience on their website - I go to pick my pup up ( they said it would be within a 3 hour window and they would call - after 3 hours and 20 mins i called them and they said they needed another 15 mins) and i physically lift him into the car and he's soaking wet ! Its twenty degrees out ! The groomer says "Oh , the other dogs are wet and they shake the water on him - they're so cute !" Me - i paid 70.00 and he's wet - are you kidding me ? Recently moved to the area and needed to find a place for our dog. We've used the day care, overnight services, and grooming once. All seemed to work out well! The staff is great, and is open about letting us know how the day went for our dog. Also, It's close to the train station and highway, so It's easy to get to. 5th Star: It would be cool if there was some sort of webcam, or if they were open later. We took our pup to daycare on Tuesday - This was her 9th time going and she has loved it. This past Tuesday she came home smelling horrible - like she was laying in rotten garbage. We had to bathe her as soon as she got home. Normally she smells like she played with other dogs, but this smell was disgusting. It wasn't normal. The next day, she was vomiting and had diarrhea all day. When we called the vet, they asked if she got into the trash, which leads me to believe something may have happened at daycare. In addition to my dog smelling horrible and then getting very sick after her visit, I think the staff in the front are incredibly rude. They don't care to listen to me or take my concerns seriously. For example, when I picked up my dog a couple weeks ago she didn't eat all of her lunch, which is really unlike her. I asked if she knew why she didn't eat. Her reply was a sarcastic "I don't know, she didn't tell me." I only asked because I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong and she wasn't acting unusual. Not all of the staff are terrible, some are really sweet. But a couple staff members don't appear friendly or want to listen to me and my concerns. As a paying customer, it's not acceptable. My dog is my child, she's my family. I love her and I want the best for her. If I'm paying all of this money for my dog to play and have fun while I'm at work, I'd rather go somewhere I feel she will be safe from anything that can harm her and with people who care to listen to me as a customer and dog lover. We have brought our dog to Wagmore both for daycare and overnight boarding! Wagmore provides convenient hours, an easy website to book services and is a totally dog-centered facility . When I pull into the driveway and take Penny Lane out of the car she practically pulls my arm out of the socket when I'm holding her leash to get to play with all of her friends inside the facility. When I see how affectionate Penny is with the staff members I know they are taking good care of her. They follow feeding instructions to the letter and I have complete confidence in leaving her overnight when we travel. There is an employee on the premises also overnight to ensure all the dogs are ok. While we were gone Wagmore sent pictures! I can recommend Wagmore without reservation. read more

My dog, Charlie, has been going here for over 2 years. We love the place! The staff is super responsive (via phone and email), and they know exactly who Charlie is when she comes to spend time there. I've boarded her, used their grooming services, and we've even tried their doggy daycare. The staff there even accommodated me when Charlie had stitches but still needed to be boarded. They took her on several walks each day, and they played with her while they kept her separate from the other dogs. Charlie always comes home super happy (and sleepy!), and I think Wagmore is very fairly priced. My one piece of feedback would be that they should have some sort of webcam, but I understand not wanting to have nosy owners check in all the time! Thanks for the great experience, Wagmore! I have two labs (5 years and 6 years), which I adopted in December. Over a few months, I researched to find the best food/diet, walkers, day cares, dog parks, leashes, harnesses, beds, doors, etc. for these two. As an animal lover, finding what works best for them was high on my priority list. I knew that as a breed that they needed a good amount of exercise, more than my husband and I could provide due to our long days and obligations. Twice daily walks was not cutting it as we would come home to something ripped up. Parks on the weekends were great, but that would only hold off their boredom for Monday. I started having them going out on hikes once a week because that was all I could afford. It was fantastic. But, again, not enough, and I could not afford to have them go more than once a week. For months, I have watched Wagmore be put together until one day, I noticed people were in there. I made it a point to stop by every day until I was ableto talk to someone. They had just opened. I met with Jens and Brendon and toured the facility with my husband. We had looked at other potential places before, but I never felt completely at ease with having my dogs there. Places were either too regimented or too kennel like or something. At Wagmore, I immediately felt at ease. We discussed with Brendon all our concerned. He is a dog lover through and through. One of our dog walkers knew of him and spoke highly of him. Our pups now go to Wagmore. I feel completely at ease knowing that they are having a blast during our long working hours and times when we do go to the gym. I have no qualms now for not being home for 14 hours a day if necessary. I know that when they get home at night, they are happy and tired. So, the hour I get to spend at the gym is beneficial to me and keeps my mind at ease knowing that they are either just getting home or sleeping the day off. I could not ask for a better doggie day care center. Their service is fantastic. The facility is great. The staff is amazing. read more

I really wanted to like this place since we live so close and it's convenient for that reason. But after 8-9 months of regular visits I stopped going. The first problem hits you the second you walk in: there is a horrible smell about the place. If it bothers me that much, you can imagine how distressing it would be to a dog with a much keener sense of smell. The second problem is some of the staff seem really clueless...their attitude is the same as if they were doing any other job, rather than being put in charge of your family members. A couple of the staff are really amazing. Sandra, for example, is a terrific groomer and really develops a quick rapport with each pup. The one time I had nails done by a different groomer, I heard my dog scream in the back room. When I inquired what happened, I didn't get any kind of answer. So after that, and with the stench of the place and the lackadaisical attitude of most staff, we decided never to go back. read more

My dog goes crazy whenever I say "Wag" at home and runs to the door! She is a rescue and I've had her for almost two years and still suffers from separation anxiety, but would choose Wagmore over me any day! The staff is so friendly and I've left her there for a week, and if I ever called to check in, they knew exactly how she was doing - running around, sunbathing, or playing with her friends. It brings so much peace of mind to a traveling dog mom. My vet recommended them to me when I first adopted her and I couldn't be more thankful. My dog and I LOVE Wagmore! We have been going there since he was a puppy for daycare, grooming, and boarding, and it is his favorite place in the world! Once we get in the care and drive the direction of Wagmore, Chewie knows and his excitement shows before we even get to the traffic light. I have also done dog training there too! Wagmore treats my dog as if he is family and I am never worried about him when he is there with them. They take care of him and watch over him as if they were one of his own dogs. The staff here is amazing, the environment is friendly, engaging, and there are always fun activities for the dog. I appreciate the indoor environment with the outdoor space as well. They have pools set up in the summer for the dogs outside to cool off. If you are looking for a place to send your dog that actually cares about your dog, pays attention to them while they are there and will treat your dog as family, Wagmore is the place you want to be. Wagmore is a life saver! I have a puppy, Frida, and a senior dog and I'm an artist with a home studio. Some days the puppy makes it impossible to work. Today I had to finish a commission. Frida kept interrupting me and harassing my senior dog, despite having a long walk and a trip to the dog park. I hadn't planned on using daycare today but I called up midday and asked if they could take her. Luckily they had room and I was able to finish the commission and have a happy client. In addition to being super accommodating the staff is friendly and helpful. Frida is always excited to see them and they are all obviously dog lovers. We've only just started going but I'm looking forward to taking part in some of their other services like Puppy Classes! read more

5 stars all around . I've been using Wagmore for daycare and boarding for the past 3 months frequently. All the staff is great, nice facilities and super easy scheduling. If for some reason your dog needs to stay a bit longer than expected , they are always very accommodating. My dog comes home happy, never dirty , and always excited to go back. I couldn't believe it when I went on Yelp a couple of weeks ago to find a daycare in Stamford and I saw this place with a complete list of 5 star ratings... But I get it. My dog, Doug, and I just moved to Stamford 3 weeks ago and I take him at least 5 days a week. On the days i don't take him he stands by the door and whines, looking back at me with his sad brown eyes, begging to go to Wagmore (I usually listen). The staff are great, the dogs are lovable, and my dog loves it. Those three things are all that matters (and they are CPR and Pet First Aid trained which is also super important). Before we moved to Stamford I used to feel guilty every time I dropped Doug off at daycare, and now I feel excited that I can leave him somewhere that he views as a real treat. I sporadically bring my 2 dogs for daycare. 20% of the time results in Kennel Cough which tells me the place isn't clean. That accompanied by the stench when you walk in... I am a little upset with Wagmore. I do not board my dog often and was in a bind. I called Wagmore and they said they could accommodate. My dog is fluffy, so I specifically asked for her to be brushed out daily. I was told it would cost extra and I agreed. My dog came back incredibly matted, she was not brushed at all. She smelled horribly, I immediately had to bath her. She also came home starving. Not sure if they feed the dogs in a group setting but it was almost as if she didn't eat. They didn't give me any reports that she was homesick and not eating, so I am assuming the group feeding is the case. It's not a comfortable experience to leave your dog with strangers, and I have to say she will not be returning to this establishment. They also seem to not check their emails as they didn't return mine. It's disappointing because they have great reviews, maybe it was an off weekend for them. I am changing this to one star, I brought my dog to the groomer and they need to shave her since wagmore neglected her. read more

I've used many, many doggie daycares and dog walkers and Wagmore is among the best. When we started using Wagmore, we had a 15 year-old lab and a puppy. They walked the elder each day with incredible care and special attention, given her age. They're incredibly trustworthy with key and alarm code. They couldn't have been kinder when we lost our lab at 16. Our puppy goes to daycare every weekday and occasionally on weekends. The staff care for each dog as if it was their own. They're genuinely excited to go to work to care for these dogs. Wagmore offers super flexible boarding options, have always been meticulous with care instructions and are often able to drop our pup off if we don't land on time. We love wagmore! I have been a Wagmore customer for five years, utilizing their walking, boarding, grooming, and training services. They have walked our dogs daily for years and are super reliable. Beth and her team have been so good to me and my pups. Niki has treated our dogs like they're her own. I cannot believe the negative comments on here. The staff truly loves animals and always knows the dogs by name and show them all genuine affection. I don't know what more you could ask for than your dog being cared for lovingly while you're away from home. Dogs get kennel cough when they socialize. It happens! Just like you can catch a cough from a friend. It has nothing to do with being unsanitary. And guess what--after a week of boarding and playing they smell, which is why I always schedule a bath after an extended boarding session. We have been taking our dogs to Wagmore for 4 years. We see the reaction of our fur babies with the staff and that let's us know that they are happy. For those of you posting about a smell, imagine if you had 100 dogs at your home. Wagmore cleans and uses a floor system to help with the elimination of the waste and odors. Yes, there have been times our dogs have had a smell, however one of our dogs will search out "smells" in our yard and roll in it every time ... the dogs do not mind the smell, we do! We and our babies love this place and we use them for daycare, home walks and boarding. The owners care and will always go above and beyond. I have a shihtzu/bichon frise, the kind of dog that has long haired ears. Six hours later, one of his ears is half missing, close to 3" of hair was gone. Wagmore's attendees said they did not notice anything during his stay. They did offer the refund which was expected but my main concern is how they cared for my dog. read more

I recently rescued a lab mix with my boyfriend. She is a great puppy, but knew early training was critical. I stopped into Wagmore and talked with Jens. He was very informative and seemed to genuinely care! I had my pup signed up for another class, but after talking to jens and seeing the facility, I canceled and signed up at Wagmore. We took out first class today and it was amazing! Highly recommend this facility. The female trainer was amazing and really knew her stuff. I can't wait to finish the next five weeks. Update: 02/9/2015 - Spot Canine club opened up about 100 ft from my house and of course I went to check it out. After walking through the facility and speaking with the people, who seem nice enough, I'm keep my pup at Wagmore as facility is much nicer and the personal touch the staff brings can't be beaten. Also, Wagmore is open by 6:30 AM and it makes it that much more convenient for me to drop of Billy and head to work right after whereas Spot doesn't open till 7. read more

There is no better place to take your pet IMO. They know your pet like it's their own. The staff is so incredibly kind and flexible. We've taken our dog, Goose, there on several occasions, for day care and boarding. Each time he comes in, they treat him like an old friend. When we go to pick him up, you can tell he wants to stay and play some more. There are a lot of places that seem to do pet day care and boarding for the money, and while Wagmore isn't free, there truly is a love of canines at this place. These guys are great. They're super knowledgeable and I feel very comfortable having my little pom kept here for the day. They have an indoor and outdoor space for the little guys and it is always clean when I have gone back there. They also do drop off service for me when I'm working late.
