We have been bringing our sweet girl to Highland pet resort since we moved here 1.5 years ago. We…read morelove this place and had never any issues. Our dog loves this place and is always so excited to go there. They always check everything when we get there, shot records, food, snacks, supplement and then we bring a bed , toys, blanket, leash. They even ask if she already ate. They always let me know when her next shot is due. Chris and his wife are always on top of everything, I can't say any other way. Also the girls what walk the dogs, I am assuming volunteers they always so so nice and love the animal. Top place I would definitely recommend!!

I give Highlands Pet Resort 4 Stars, but considered dropping to a 2 or 3. I hope this is read by…read morethe owners. The facility is in a beautiful setting. It is clean and well cared for. The two guys I met are just great - they love dogs, very friendly and just the type of folks you feel safe and confident with when leaving your dog. They treated my dog very well and as any dog owner can tell you - you know immediately from your pet's reaction that you are dealing with genuine love for dogs. I don't know what (if anything) happened. I am also not a vet and cannot say for sure about cause and effect, but I know my 3 year old Lab very well and know what works and what does not work. When we arrived we had two packs of our dog's food. The guy who received her seemed somewhat surprised that we were bringing food. We picked up our dog at 7pm. By the time we got home, our pet began with severe diarrhea. She kept us up half the night and needed to go out frequently. At one point she was unable to control herself forcing a house cleaning at 2am. The problem lasted until the morning when her digestive system has been completely emptied. Okay... maybe a virus, I don't think so. Her temperature was normal and there was not vomiting. I have previously seen this in my dog two times. On both occasions it was the result of giving her food for which she was not accustomed. Again, I don't want to pin something bad on what seems to be very competent and real good folks. However, I do not think I am making a mistake. My dog either got a hold of another dog's food, my instructions were not followed, or one of the guys with all good intentions gave a treat that did not sit well. The reason I left the food is because I am aware of how my dog reacts - perhaps I should have impressed this more, yet they too should have been more careful. So, in the future please consider the importance of what is being fed to a pet. With that said, I would in a second bring my dog back. I do think that this is a quality boarding and day facility.

I was very pleased with how gentle the groomer was and how beautifully he trimmed my two dogs and clipped their nails without any stories about how squirmy and impatient my boy, Oscar, was! My girl-Prudence-has a lame hind leg which hurts her if lifted or handled the wrong way. The groomer was so gentle with and loving toward her. The fee is reasonable and they accept check, credit or Zelle and of course, cash. The mobile grooming van is not massive and fit perfectly in my parking spot. I was surprised how quickly the work got done. I intend to call for my next appointment as soon as I am finished writing this review!!

She took time to introduce herself to Beta before jumping right into grooming. She did a great job on both my dogs, working around the fears of Beta during his grooming. We are both hoping that over time, as he gets familiar with her, that his anxieties will ease. Her trailer is well equipped and runs on a generator, so it doesn't need to be plugged into your home like some other groomers do. I've already recommended her to my neighbor, who will be switching groomers soon. Thank you so much, Sarah!

I always recommend Pampered Pooch for grooming for many reasons! Everyone is very friendly and warm! The care they provide to your dog is exceptional! They have different themes for post grooming photo shoots and a beautiful boutique to spoil your pooch! When you get your pup back they smell phenomenal and have a seasonal scarf to match their lovely cut! You will not be disappointed bringing your pup here!

The conversation I described is nearly verbatim and she should have been transparent from the get-go/my first call, and that she was not is wholly on you for not supplying her with a clear and concise script/messaging for new clients. As far as being "annoyed," yes, that was correct on your part: I was annoyed. Also, please, don't take this review "as a compliment." I am unclear as to how 1 star could possibly be construed as a "compliment" (now I am "confused") and if you are being serious or being snide, but to be abundantly clear: this review is not a compliment. I'm writing about your shop 6 months later because 1) I do not to write spur of the moment, emotional, poorly thought out reviews and I let some time pass and re-evaluate; and 2) I pass your shop every day so I am reminded of my experience every day. As far as your 6 groomers toiling 6 days a week: consider opening up your hours beyond 8 hours a day to accommodate the needs of the community you serve. If you would like to discuss more, I'm all ears: contact me via Yelp and I'll send you my phone number. 9/11/24 This place has strange business practices. It is about a one minute walk from from my home and would not take my dog. I called to make an appointment for my older dog and the person who answered the phone took my information and was pleasant enough and then asked my dog's breed. When I said she was a doodle, she all of a sudden said she had no appointments. I hung up and then called back and asked her why she had appointments and then all of a sudden--when she heard the breed--she did not. She said--lol--"we do not have appointments for many months." I said, "I don't mind waiting." She said, "Well, it wouldn't be fair to our regular customers." I asked "Why?" She said "Because they will want to come in and will not be able to because new customers will have their spot." I said, "So you don't have enough staff?" She said, "No, we have enough staff." I got tired of her whack-a-mole answers and excused myself. I mean, just put a sign on the door that says "Doodles Not Welcome," like it's a diner in pre-Civil Rights Amendment era Birmingham, Alabama. Based on other reviews, the owner is popular and has a following from her prior location. However, she should be reminded that this is a dog grooming business and, like all businesses in Eastdale, it is supposed to serve a previously underserved area. Eastdale was constructed with a mission to deliver services and products to Arlington residents--not to people who decided to follow Rachel from 30 minutes away. Meanwhile my dog is a sweet natured four year old Doodle who I brush every day (she loves to lay on her back and get brushed) and bathe once a week (she's an outdoorsy gal!) Nice conclusion: I found a terrific groomer and we have had a monthly appointment with her for the last 6 months.
