They were very professional and explained policies. We've been customers for 2 seasons now. Last weekend our furnace quit working. They were prompt in coming out. The guy who did come out said he did not have experience with our old system and would have one of the other guys come out. We were kept in the loop with times and explained the system to us. We have dealt with many people on the phone and now in person. Everyone is very pleasant and professional. The bill came yesterday and we didn't fall over with sticker shock. Great company so don't hesitate to call them.

Well we called them we are now on empty and this runs our heat and hot water by tonight we will have nothing they said to me and I quote "well I guess you should have planned it better" I explained to them" I am on crutches what do you want me to do go out and shovel" she said "yes actually I would" I told her that she was the rudest person I have ever dealt with and I have never had a company tell me that the customer is wrong she said and I quote "well now you have" and then hung up on me!!! Now last year we had a small amount left on fuel assistance so we asked them to deliver the remaining fuel they showed up with like 50 gallons which was supposed to be 100 which was not enough because he was empty from his other deliveries told them it was not enough and now I'm going to lose what I have left on fuel assistance they said that's to bad its all we have and left. I had forgotten all about that until today my advise is do not even deal with this company because when push comes to shove they will leave you empty... I will never let this company deliver to us ever again I would go and get it myself I don't think with there attitudes they will be in business much longer anyway I know for a fact that as far as my family goes this company no longer exists... Thanks for reading my review hope it helps you...

This is a little town in Massachusetts somewhere along the highway which is a regular stop for me because they have bathrooms and the oft-busy rest area, which also has extraordinarily overpriced gas and food, so watch out. But overall, Charlton is a nice sleepy town right off the Massachusetts Turnpike. It doesn't have much diversity, with 98% of the population being white, and it's a pretty well off little town named after a place in England, much like Dudley (the neighbouring town) and so many others in the aptly named New England.

I had the opportunity to do business with Charlton Well today when we had a little emergency…read more I didn't find out we had a problem until about about 10:15 am and I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to address our problem on such short notice (and on a Friday). I explained the problem to the person who answered the call (Mary) and she told me she thought they had a service technician out our way and she would call him to see if he could help us. Mary called me right back and said he could be there shortly. The technician arrived shortly after (Pete) and he checked over our problem and gave me a price. Pete got right to work on it and was out of here in about an hour and 15 minutes. I'm not sure if we would have got anyone else to come if they weren't available and we might not have had water for a couple days. Thank you Charlton Well, Mary and Pete for resolving our problem so quickly.

I had a number of issues in my home that needed repair. I was not at all pleased with the work…read morethat was done by one of the plumbers, however. I did give 2 stars because, to his credit, Wayne tried to make it right. But I ended up having to call another plumber to complete the work correctly. Wayne came and gave me an estimate, and was very nice. The gentleman he sent to do the work was friendly also, and completed everything, which I did not check before he left, unfortunately. When I did, I saw that the work done in my tub/shower was appalling: large gaps in the tile where he had removed and replaced it; large gaps between the faucet and the wall, and between the collar around the handle and the wall; clumps of silicone visible on the tile; etc. Also, the handle on the toilet had been installed so crooked that it was leaning against the toilet lid (he had to replace the workings in the toilet). On top of this, the separate handheld showerhead I purchased had been installed as I requested, but the showerhead that came with the rest of the hardware that I purchased had been taken by the plumber! He also took the collar that came with the new garbage disposal that I purchased, leaving the old one in place! I called Wayne and he came the next day. He then showed me that the wall behind the tile was significantly water damaged and had corroded away, which was the reason for the poorly reinstalled tile. Ok, that's understandable, but could the guy have shown me that the day before and explained it instead of just doing the job poorly? I had to call a tile company to have the wall repaired, and then Wayne returned to complete the plumbing work. Unfortunately, the way the tile was repaired made the wall plate around the handle not fit properly (no fault of Wayne's or the man who fixed the tile). Wayne offered a couple of solutions, but I decided to see if the tile could be adjusted, so Wayne said he would come back once it was fixed. The man from the tile company returned, and after several options were explored, I decided on one. The work was completed and I texted Wayne. He ended up sending the SAME MAN that did such poor work the first time to finish the job! When he did, there were (again) large gaps between the fixtures and the wall! When I asked if he was going to caulk them, he said he might have some silicone in the truck (!). He came in with a tube of silicone, and squeezed a little into the gap of the handle, but not the gap on the faucet! At that point I just wanted him out of my house, so I didn't say anything. I finally called another plumber that was recommended to me, to come in and finish the job correctly, and check all the work the other plumber had done. So an extra $200.

My experience with Earthworks Site Development & Utilities, Inc has been nothing but remarkable…read more What this company has demonstrated has proven that there are still good people and good companies out there. For me, a good contactor has a good mix of personality/friendliness, knowledge/experience, and fair pricing. I strongly feel that they have all of these qualities. From my first introduction, I felt such a positive vibe of excitement, and interest in doing my project. It was not like the traditional corporate feel, or sales pitch, just trying to make a sale. That's important!! My project included a 2ndbuilding on my property, so I had the benefit of being "on site" at all times. I was able to witness (from both near and far) the workmanship and interactions that occurred throughout each day. I observed a strong team environment amongst them, which resulted in good collaboration, effective trouble-shooting through different tasks, and made for an overall friendlier environment. I was encouraged to ask questions, and I always felt welcome with any concerns I had. I believe some other strong indicators of a successful company are how employees treat each other, and their equipment. This also is a strong indicator of what I, as customer will probably see for my project. I observed hard workers, and employees that cared about their work, and each other. As they left the site each day, I would see that they cleaned my property, but also their own, by wiping it down, sweeping it out, and even parking equipment safely and neatly. That's important !!! I've received so many compliments about their work, it is very satisfying. Earthworks is a company that seems to be that nice mix of size, where it has a strong personal touch of a local business owner, yet the ability to cover a wide range of services, like that of a large national corporation. I'll be sure to call on them again, and certainly recommend them to both my personal and professional connections. Thank you Earthworks !!!!!!

When the gas water…read moreheater in our rental unit flooded the basement, I wasn't sure who to call or how soon I could get someone there. I remembered Landry had serviced our gas furnace and checked their web site to see if they also did gas water heaters and discovered they offer a whole range of services I wasn't even aware of. I called Landry about 8:30 in the morning and the scheduler said they could have someone there by noon. They beat that estimate - I got a call from the technician who said they were on their way and would be there about 10:15, less than 2 hours after I called. They first assessed the situation, had a lengthy discussion with my husband (a retired contractor) who had lots of questions, all of which were answered thoroughly and to his satisfaction. When it was determined a replacement was necessary - no patching or temporary fix - they had the same model on the site within the hour. The work was prompt, clean, and met my husband's stringent standards. Now that we know they also provide full electrical services, we will be calling them to add an electric panel to our rental property. Our previous electrician has been delaying the job literally for months, despite back and forth emails and texts to try to get him on site. Having earned our trust and demonstrated the quality of both their people and their work, Landry Mechanical is now our "go to" for any services we need.

We have exclusively ordered our heating oil from Thomas Fuel, for almost 30 years…read more Why? The service is excellent. In 1990, we were renting & had never ordered or used oil for heat. I had $100.00 to buy the oil. At the time, the cost was about $1.50 gallon. No other local oil company would deliver, they all had a 150 gallon minimum. One company acted like something was wrong with me, the lady said "It's only $50 more that we require" SMH as some people don't comprehend when I say I only have $100. Thomas Fuel was the only heating oil company who would accept & deliver my order of $100.00 and did so the first thing in morning, on next day.
