They are less of a reasonable service company and more of a high-ticket selling company. Called for them to come out when I did not have any hot water in my home. The technician they sent didn't know his a** from his elbow. He plain out said he didn't know what to do and called another technician. The tech on the phone walked him through the entire session which ended up with me paying $260+ for a new zone head. Less than one month later, I had no hot water again and I went with a different company. Tech from the other company said the first guy replaced the wrong zone head. I was using these folks for all my routine services and any fixes needed on my oil burner. Then one of my zones stopped working. I was told I was put on a call back list. I did not hear for a week. I called back two more times. 2 weeks go by and they finally called me back. Should've listened to the other bad reviews. Gave me a $2500 quote for something that cost me $90 and 2 hours to fix. I understand needing to make a profit, but that is absolutely ridiculous. I'm pretty sure the quote was that high because the plumber was talking to my wife because I was at work. He was supposed to email me the quote, but only emailed me some membership information, which just adds to my suspicion. They also never called me back after I called to see if we could work something out before I did it myself. They also said they didn't have the tools to do what they needed today, which also makes no sense considering I sent pics ahead of time and it was a very simple job involving replacing some old cast iron pipe with new PVC. It would be a one except they were responsive after both failures. It's unsettling as my direct emails or msgs left since March have had no response. I am a landry customer and at this stage I went with the wrong company. Aside from their outrageous plumbing estimates compared to local plumbers we had a propane conversion that has been horrid. In less than 18 months there have been two propane leaks at the furnace that have resulted in the system shutting down for mutlitpe days. the recent one in march of this year after the routine annual service had the manufacturer rep and landry pointing fingers at each other. We are still waiting for completion of the punch list by the Landry Service Manager who was onsite in march and assured us they would be resolved. what a great experience in both getting our gas fired furnace fixed (broken starter, fixed the next day once new part arrived) as well as getting a 3 unit mini split installed this December! Here is what i love about Landry: 1. very professional and responsive via voice and email. 2. very skilled and creative in finding a way to install these units and run the lines in our 100+ year old house. 3.the quote for the mini split included all of the charges like for the electrician and we paid exactly what was in the quote. NO SURPRISES 4. workers were very quick and clean. we did not have to clean up after them at all and the install looks great and unobtrusive 5. the Landry office was very adept at navigating Mass Save and getting us a 0% interest loan to finance the mini split. 6. The Landry office made sure to follow up after the job to apply for our rebate. 7. from initial visit to installed was less than a month. I spent $1,665 in parts and service for a unit that was operational until two Landry service representatives left. On June 6th alone, I received 7 different quotes for repair and on components needing replacement. In the evening, I was called and provided a quote of $8,051 to replace the evaporator. I found it curious that I kept getting quotes the next day to repair (now the motor) and replace components piecemeal instead of honest advice to replace. I had to ask - wouldn't it add up? I called Landry because I supposed it was a reputable company due to the great reviews and I wouldn't have to deal with exactly what I've had to deal with. Buyer beware. Landry advised they would compensate and they haven't. Their estimate to replace was higher (after all their promotions and discounts) than two other companies that estimated better components without "promotional" discounts. It seems Landry will back up their claims for the units they replaced. Everything else is the fault of the last company that serviced or put new. read more

Asked for replacement of 1 half foot of pipe that leads to outdoor connection to hose. I understand prices have gone up but was given a quote of 798 to do. Tech said they would call their boss. I'm thinking 350 tops because it's a matter of cutting and replacing a l shaped piece of pipe. I don't nor did need a ball joint shut off because the one hand is new it was literally 1 1/2 feet of pipe. A job that would be an hour of really taking time. Called to give feedback and all I got was I'll have to escalate. Going with another company because they even said that price is ridiculous. Hope your business does well and customers should really look at your prices because they are being price gauged no worries tech was happy to walk away with 99 dollar check for an estimate that was way overpriced and he didn't seem to care as well as the company. So just paid 99 dollars for 15 minute estimate. Ya that's a savings and btw. A small project should only require 1 person. Call Landry if you want to get ripped off. I thought I was getting my A/C serviced. Turned out it was just an " inspection". Kid that came out said I needed a new start capacitor (~$25 at the supply house) and a new 30 amp contact switch (~$40) on each of my outside condenser units. Ok fair enough, they have never been replaced and the units at older. Here's the kicker. $1800 to replace 2 capacitors and 2 switches. Then, there was the "premium service". They spray some water through the condenser fins outside to clean them and clean the squirrel cages on the air handlers in the attic for a mere $2000 more. So $3800 to clean the dirt out of the air handlers and replace ~ $200 worth of parts ( that's generous on the parts). I was born at night but not last night. I had to give them one star to submit the review but they deserve zero. Rip off!!! read more

Horrible communication, they will schedule you for one day, ask you to switch, and then make you wait all day for someone to show up. I left work early to be here around the service time. They claim they will update you through the day about when your tech will show up, they don't, they send a generic text saying "you're on the schedule". I've spent over 3 hours before today trying to communicate with their team to set up a time that would work for me after working with them when they canceled on me because they were overwhelmed with service calls. If that's the case, dont schedule mine. If they ever show up I might go through and get the quote but they charge for that too. Where do I start? The estimating process and install was quick but that's about the only pleasurable experience I had with Landry back on 12/2022. After the furnace was installed, the exhaust pipe to the chimney fell into the house emanating fumes into the house. Good thing it happened while I was awake or I may not be typing this. Called them back to the house and this time it was securely mounted. Fast forward to a year later when I had the furnace serviced. The serviceman noticed that an oil filter had not been installed on the original install. Shame on Landry for sending an incompetent install team. No oil filter installed and improper mounting of the exhaust which could have caused a death! They say all their technicians are all certified blah blah blah and they go through the proper training. Clearly someone missed a class or two. So the technician who notices no oil filter on the unit installs one. Two days later my furnace stops working! He comes back out, bleeds the line and says I'm all set. A day passes and the same issue. This went on for two weeks, tech comes out bleeds the lines it works then it stops. After discussing with the service manager many times a resolution they wanted to ultimately change my oil tank at a cost of about $5,000. Stating The tank was failing. I explained how does the furnace work for a year with no problems, you install an oil filter and now it does not work properly. I demanded they remove the oil filter to see if it will work properly and it did and it has for over a month now! So here I am back at square one with a furnace that is probably out of a manufactured warranty because it was improperly installed with no oil filter from the beginning. I have tried multiple times with their service manager to come to an agreement on a resolution even if it means replacing the oil tank at a cost. He was still coming back with a cost that was not in favor to a consumer who has had nothing but issues after the install. Charging almost double the cost of an oil tank. So with all that being said where do I go from here? I paid over $10,000 for the new furnace and install with Landry to feel like I've been left in the cold with no reliable service after the fact. Shame on you Landry! I suggest you retrain your staff, even your service manager who could have been prevented this bad review!!!! read more

However, Fhey pressed me to sign the proposal when I told them that I would like to finance through Mass Save instead their 10% interest financing, they turned into a cold turkey not communicating any further. So, I have used Landry Mechanical a few times now. I had a tankless hot water hear installed (Im sorry I cant remember his name. I think it was Matt McManaman??) and then I had that same hot water heater serviced by Mike P. each visit was great. Very personable, professional and knowledgeable! Then I had a new central air until installed by AJ Johnson and Roger Sampson and also two super nice guys as well as polite. They both were very knowledgeable and got the job done on a really hot day! Here's the other thing, so far every person they have sent here so far as been animal lovers I have two dogs and three cats and all these guys have been great to them, that goes so far with me; even more so than customer service which, by the way, Landry Mechanical excels in. They claim to be a good and responsive company but my experience was not that. They showed up as promised on December 31 to give us a quote on replacing our heating system in Framingham MA. They viewed the job and promised to get back to us with pricing. They then went silent, not responding to a phone call, email and a request on their website. Good companies are respectful of the public's time and project needs. Lazy and disrespectful companies pick and choose when to follow through on commitments. The owner's claim below that I did not actually reach out to them via phone, email and website is incorrect because I can prove I did with phone log and copy of email. This is probably a company with good technical talent but with a disorganized office that left a gap in service. I wish them the best. I wish they were more honest about this unfortunate situation however, and I will hire someone else. read more

We had our gas service shut off because a pipe to a dryer that we no longer use had 3 small leaks. Eversource said we just needed to have the pipe cut and plugged. The service tech from Landry came out and proceeded to inspect all our gas pipes and come up with additional work that was needed. They eventually quoted over $2k! I called another plumber and had the work done for $200 and my gas service is back on. The one positive thing I have to say was the service technician was very polite and professional, but that's about it. Unless you have a lot of spare cash on hand do not use this company! read more

The response was good ... but thats where it stops.. The technicians came and figured out what the issue was. They left giving me the options for the issue. the first option was to order the part and have them order it and install it. They wanted to charge me $1400 dollars for a part which costs about $40-$50 + install... the second option was given to replace the machine which was $6000 approx. The thing that really got me going was when they left they didnt even bother to close the Navien Water heater which they opened up.... they took the screws to put it back togather. there were parts that have been left in and not even put back in place.
