He threw in a few free things for me and my groomsmen because I bought a suit through him. Suit was sized and tailored to my size and this is the only place with an in house tailor. Highly recommend Steve!

Mr. Goodwin, the dapper proprietor of the establishment is a super cool, super chill gentleman who has an eye for fashion and takes really good care of his customers! He's like a modernized version of the monopoly guy, sans the pretentious monocle. That said, he's the dude who could pull off a top hat and monocle with the sophistication of not the monopoly guy! This place is a small storefront just off Yakima Avenue, that apparently has been here for 20 years. He worked at Nordstrom for many years, and now has officially been open doing his own gig for longer than he worked at Nordstrom! He specializes in helping gentlemen look their best. They carry an incredible selection of shirts, ties, pants, suits and accoutrements including hats, scarves and cuff links. Everything is custom tailored and included in the price - as he says, "This isn't men's warehouse"! Everything here is definitely on the pricey end, but as with most things, you're paying for quality and for a bit of customization. It's the sort of place that when you stop by before a wedding or get together, he'll hook you up with exactly what you need and make sure you look like a boss doing it! Perhaps the best thing about this place however, was the fact that while I was in there, there must've been five or seven people who wakes through that he knew by name and knew exactly the sort of stuff they'd be looking for. Is the big box stores continue to struggle, it's places like this they should continue to do well. Impeccable service, a great vibe, wonderful selection and a dude who's really paying attention and making sure he gets things right - hard to ask for anything more!

I went to Plato's closet today to try to get rid of some of my cloths i hardly ever wear. I did…read morenot know you needed an ID to do so. I had a picture of my ID front & back and I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask if that would work. I go up to the counter and ask nicely. As the employee tried to help me out another employee yelled from across the store "I told you that you need a real ID". I looked at her and walked away To not cause a scence more than she already did. That employee Ashley was not being professional and being rude the whole time I was there. Even talking about me as I walked out the door. BAD CUSTOMER SERVIC.

I was told to bring in everything as it is an all-season store. So, I brought in six bags (four were smaller Walmart size bags) with unworn dresses, new leather sandals (it's nearly summer), and a few clean, unstained items I thought would sell well. I was told it would take an hour for them to review my items. That was fine--except I asked them what I should do if it took longer because I needed to be home in an hour and a half when my children got off the bus. They said if I wasn't back to pick up my items before the end of the day the offer for any of them would be gone and they would donate them. They said it was "their system," and they couldn't do anything to get around it. People run systems last I checked, machines are not in charge. When I suggested other options (can I come first thing tomorrow) if they weren't done in an hour, my suggestions were batted down with increasing irritation. I couldn't come back later because of my daughter's baseball game. It was very frustrating and would not have been an issue had it all been explained to me over the phone when I'd called earlier. I chose to gamble, and they did get my items sorted. They chose to take ONE item-- a pair of Old Navy shorts with the tag still on them. I can't prove it was out of spite. I hope not. I like supporting small businesses, but I could read the room and that felt weirdly personal. I suppose that's their right. It's also my right to let people know about my experience so you can make an informed choice.

This is definitely the spot to go when you're interested in new clothing trends, classic and new shoes as well as plenty of vintage items like jackets and jerseys. I came in on a random Monday afternoon and found a number of things that immediately peaked my interest, despite not being a particularly well dressed individual. With my 30th percentile looks and 15th percentile charm, any help I can get is always appreciated! With styles ranging from those of a skate shop, which this also is, all the way to trends that make any trendsetter jealous, they've got just about anything that you're looking for within the genre. I picked up a pair of shorts which quickly work their way into my rotation. I also saw some old-school Reebok pumps, which may be something that I need to get in the near future. The dude running the place is super chill and does a great Job of staying up on trends both new and retro. In the same way that the haberdasher brings a very cool spot for final clothing, this place brings a real for anyone looking for some good street gear!
