I found Jake's through Yelp. I reached out via the app and they contacted me the next day for follow up info. I made my appointment and they even called me the day before to remind me and confirm. When I dropped off my truck they were very courteous and helpful in showing me the tinting options. The process was quick and clean. When I picked up my truck I could immediately see the difference in the window tint, it looked great! No bubbling or weird film discrepancies. Payment was easy and the pricing for tint removal and reapplication was very good. Compared with other places I had priced out in the past it was reasonable and the job was well done. After about a week or two, I took it back and they re-ordered the stripes and re-applied them and they've been perfect ever since. I have spent a lot of money with this place and this is the first time I've had a bad experience. Spent good money on PPF and window tinting. Everything was good except for the water spots that I can't get off my windshield. I tried getting them off myself with no luck, so I called and spoke with the owner only to get attitude and smart remarks. Never expected this from Jake. Reply to response from owner: He didn't go above and beyond. I called to talk about the issue. He said all we did was tint your windows so it couldn't have been us. I reminded him that I also did PPF and you washed the car before applying PPF. He then said well I can't see it through the phone. Then he talked about dropping off something that I could use to try and remove the hard water spots. I didn't spend $2300 to have to remove water spots myself. Smart remarks were unnecessary. A simple get it to the shop so we can handle it would have been the more professional way. read more

They explained everything very well and went over all the options with me. I dropped the car off and they called me back in a few hours to let me know it was done. Windows look great. Made an appointment by e-mail which is always great, you'd be surprised how many businesses don't respond to emails they have listed on their website. Anyways, they had a cancellation so they asked if I could come in early, showed up early and they had our car done in about an hour, which is faster than the time we needed to finish our errands. Cost was $80 for 2 front roll-up windows on an Acura TSX, which was just slightly higher than the other 2 tint shops I got quotes from. They appear to use high quality materials and they warranty their work so I went with them. No complaints, tint looks great and they were very fast and hassle free. Dealing with Jake's left a bad taste in my mouth. This review is based 100% off of their customer service. We took my wife's car in to have the window tinted. We had a few issues with the process. The car battery was dead when he went to pick up the car, the issues was resolved after having to take the car to the dealership. After getting the car home, I noticed the next day that they rear passenger door panel was falling off. I understand that stuff happens and I called Jake's to talk to them about putting the panel back on correctly. Jake himself answered the phone and I calmly explain the situation and told him that I was frustrated, that's when it all went sour. Jake started to talk to me very aggressively and tell me that those are not frustrations, (like he can tell me how to feel). He then started to insult my wife and told me that dealing with her was like talking to a child. I reminded Jake that I has talking to him with respect and not calling him names and did not appreciate the tone in his voice and that I would not let him insult my wife. After belittling me over the phone a little bit more, he said that if I brought the car in that he would "take a look" at the door panel. I am still in shock on how he spoke to me. Needless to say I looked up a video on YouTube and correctly put on the door panel by myself. I will never do business with Jake's again and will be sure to share my experience with anyone that asks about window tinting. read more

I had my car tinted at Jake's in 2007 when the car was new. 8 years later the rear window started to cloud up a bit and it was difficult to see out of. The company that manufactured the tinting material, and with whom I had the lifetime warranty had gone out of business. Jake stood behind his promise of customer satisfaction and re-tinted the rear window at no cost. They did the work while I waited and it took about an hour and a half. read more

The windows are fine but the wait time was ridiculous. I called and scheduled my appointment a week in advanced for today at 12pm. I was told on the phone it would take around an hour to finish. I showed up at 12 and was then told the wait time would be 2-3 hours. This frustrated me as I live in Ellensburg and would have to wait around but I accepted and they took my car into the shop. I decided to pass the time in a nearby restaurant, but after 3 hours and no call from them I walked back over. And after waiting in the lobby for someone to actually come out of the shop and greet me for several minutes I asked how long it would be till until the car was finished. 40 minutes was their answer. So I sat for another 40 minutes and they still weren't done. By the time my car was ready it was 4pm and they still charged me the full amount. I am very dissatisfied with the treatment and would not recommend Jake's to anyone unless they want their time wasted. read more
