Really? They couldn't afford to pay a real local artist?

No drop in service or quality, however I am vexed and offended by the use of Ai in their advertisements. It just kinda cheapens the experience and ambiance of the place and gives the impression of undercutting local workers.

Leahi Health Hawaii Kai is a solid stop when I want something refreshing. My smoothie was ready in about 2-3 minutes after ordering. I got the matcha muse. It's coconut milk, matcha, banana, vanilla protein, avocado, spinach, & strawberry drizzle. The flavor was rich, and the strawberry added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering it. At a little over $9 for a medium, it felt a bit expensive, but the quality and flavor made it worth trying. Definitely coming back

I used to go to the Aina Haina store but this one is a better set up. The convenience is also better as I can drop by in conjunction with other errands, like taking care of business at Longs/Safeway/bank/optometrist/cleaners. My go to drinks are the Purple Rain or Coffee Date - I just get them without cinnamon. The kale tacos are still good. And now they do essentially the same tacos but with a bacon mustard dressing - it's still vegan Taco Tuesday and Saturday are good value with a $16 price-point for tacos and a smoothie. Free Shot Friday is also nice. It makes for a convenient stop for a delicious smoothie or a light lunch.

There's nothing more refreshing than a smoothie after the slow and torturous death that is hiking Koko Head. As I hiked up the mountain, all I could think about was drinking a smoothie when I made it to the bottom. I ordered the Purple Rain smoothie. It has cinnamon in it and I thought about asking them to hold it, but I'm so glad I didn't. The cinnamon was unexpectedly such a great addition. It was so good that I need to start adding cinnamon into my smoothies moving forward! Leahi was the perfect treat after a long hike!

Went to get a smoothie today and many times I've passed this place thinking it would be very pricey. However, I'm glad I did go today... hands down the best smoothie I've ever had. The ingredients weren't artificial like many places. I got the green monster and it was really good. I'll try other flavors as I visit. The place was clean and service was neutral. The person serving me wasn't friendly nor rude so it was okay and I got my smoothie very quick. Will definitely be back again.

If you need some healthy food in your life, then Leahi Health is quite acceptable. Leahi Health must be doing something right as it has been slowly expanding throughout the years with multiple locations in East Honolulu. This one in particular is located in the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center on the Longs Drugs side, near Territorial Savings Bank and F45 Training. One of the big pluses of Leahi Health is they use a majority of fresh, local products. It was quite busy at this location as it seemed like a training class at F45 just finished cause everyone had a water bottle and sweaty. The menu is a variety of smoothies, salads, and tacos. We started with the Morning Mana smoothie consisting of cold brew, coconut milk, bananas, almond butter, cacao, agave, cinnamon, and maca. This was quite good. It was actually smooth, and not grainy or sandy. Nice balance of coffee and coconut milk while getting a nice hint of the rest of the ingredients. Next was the Surf Tacos. I suggest eating this asap, as the pita is warm! It'll get hard when it cools, especially with the cool temperature vegetables! This had a Kale salad with a ginger tahini dressing, topped with avocado, tomatoes, almonds, and furikake. Everything was fresh and well dressed. You can taste easy ingredients. Though, the furikake topping didn't match for me. We also had one of their specials: Thai Crunch Wrap. This one needed more dressing or some type of savory or salty flavor (like furikake!!). While it was well wrapped and prepared. There was no taste because 80% was rice, avocado, and tofu. Overall, the smoothie and taco were pretty good. All the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. Inside was clean, friendly staff, and a nice selection of items. The food was filling and the prices are reasonable. If you become a vegetarian or want to eat more healthier, then Leahi Health is a solid choice.

$15 taco and smoothie combo on Tuesday and Saturdays. Fresh food and vegan. Quick service through the app.

Leahi Health is a pretty good spot for healthy vegetarian food! I finally made the time to give it a visit on Tuesday, which I highly recommend because they have "Taco Tuesday" deals on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This deal gets you to tacos and a smoothie for $15--a pretty good bargain! I ordered the Breakfast tacos and Morning Mana smoothie. This would normally be priced at $19, and considering the amount of food you get, I say it's worth it. My order came out fairly quickly, too. I would rate the tacos a 6.5 out of 10. The toasted coconut was just not to my liking, which is disappointing because I usually really like coconut. I think I would enjoy the other taco flavors more, so if I came back, I would definitely try something else. However, I really, really enjoyed the smoothie. It was thick and incredibly creamy. The flavors worked very well together, and I could tell it used high-quality ingredients. It's very filling too, so it could be a great meal replacement for when you're on the go. Honestly, I would come back just for the smoothie. The store itself is very small. There are a few tables inside and out, but it's more of a casual seating area. It's kind of loud inside because of the blenders too. They sell some merch inside as well. I also like how there is ample parking in the shopping center! There is an outside bathroom, but you need a code. Overall, I think Leahi Health is solid, especially when you're craving a smoothie or more health-conscious food. I would come back for the Taco Tuesday deals!

What a great find! When I have a really hard time deciding on what to order, I know I have stumbled onto a special place. This is a vegan restaurant and the menu is so delicious. The sauces are standout. I orders the papaya crunch salad and it was amazing. The sauce is creamy, garlicy , and peanuty. Absolutely amazing. I want to go back and try everything. They open at 8am until 5 pm. Perfect stop by after an early hike. Casual. Parking lot. Service is great! Please come and create your own experience.

Love the new location next to longs. Lots of parking, but it was very busy. Ordered my usual, the Baja bowl no rice and extra bacon. Amazing as always. I ordered one drink and one salad. It took about 15-18 minutes. Not sure why it took so long, they had about 3-4 employees but only one making salads. They were all friendly though so that helped. I think I like the aina haina location better.

Top: breakfast tacos and deep green smoothie. Bottom: rainbow tacos and matcha muse smoothie.

My husband and I did the koko head trail hike and after we were craving something to refuel with. We found Leahi health and immediately decided to head over there! I got the rainbow tacos and a matcha muse smoothie, my husband got the breakfast tacos and a deep green smoothie. 10/10! We both shared our tacos, my favorite was the breakfast tacos and his was the rainbow tacos. Our smoothies were so delicious! I've never had a matcha smoothie that I would shout out to the world! The service was great, we didn't wait very long as we were the only people there.

Having more businesses and a solid coffee shop with Kai Coffee expanding to Kalama Valley is a big welcome. This place is located along Kealahou St. Easy to find. Just turn in from the stoplight between Sandy Beach and Hawaii Kai Golf Course and drive a minute in. Plenty of parking! Cozy, clean, and comfortable place with indoor and outdoor seating. Usual coffee choices with breakfast wraps and sandwiches. Friendly and efficient service. Its signature Kai Latte was good with a nice balance of macadamia nut flavor to coffee. House coffee was brewed well. My only issue is the cup sizes. Large is definitely smaller than the usual and not even filled to the top! The Turkey Pesto sandwich was really good. Nicely portioned and prepared well. Warm, crispy flatbread. Tasty pesto. This sandwich inspired me to buy pesto and make it at home lol. Overall, a solid, little coffee spot in a quiet, calm neighborhood that is Kalama Valley. Conveniently located just a minute from the main highway. Nice, friendly service with well-prepared food and drinks.

Despite the fact that it's a considerably trek for city-dwellers, factoring either traffic or bus schedules into the equation, or both if you're particularly unlucky, it's a journey always worth taking. Hit Hanauma Bay along the way and make it a day trip; the only way to top those dazzling sights is to follow them with a stellar meal. Boasting a menu composed of locally-sourced produce and entirely vegan options, you'll want to take a number of friends for the best experience. Heck, get out there and make some new friends! Join one of the long communal picnic tables out back and introduce yourself; there are no friendlier folks on earth than those living in paradise, as far as I've seen. That said, if there was only one dish to order, it would have to be the Oh WOW Laulau. Wow, indeed! No where else on earth have I found vegan laulau, let alone such a stellar rendition. Traditionally consisting of fatty pork and/or fish steamed in taro leaves, this version eschews the meat in favor of hearty root vegetables, adding creamy coconut into the mix for richness. Not to be overlooked is the Tofu Poke provided on the side, claiming to be spicy but really bearing just enough warmth to taste perfectly balanced. This was easily my personal favorite from the small sampling of dishes provided, but it's a close call when all the options are so good. Another front runner is the BBQ Portobello Sandwich. Mushrooms marinated in a bright, smoky barbecue sauce practically sing between two whole wheat buns. Coconut slaw tops off the assemblage with just the right amount of subtle sweetness to contrast the deeply savory flavors within. Simpler but no less spectacular dishes include the Roasted Veg Platter and Roasted Veg Avocado Sandwich. The way that the vegetables are treated with respect, from the moment they're harvested from nearby farms to the care taken when they reach the kitchen is evident with every bite. Cooked with care and proffered generously with each serving, even the basics make the trek out here worthwhile. I'm still trying to recreate that impossibly umami gravy offered on the side. It's one of those things that are so astoundingly, inconceivably delicious, it's impossible to deconstruct. Each entree promises an ideal amount of food; satisfying diners without over-stuffing them. That said, you'll still want to make room for dessert, especially when you see the towering bowls full of Outta This Swirled Soft Serve. Cool, naturally sweet spirals of banana-based soft serve are dressed to the nines with cacao sauce that hardens much like magic shell, granola and coconut flakes tumbling down the mountainous terrain, and fresh fruits that vary based on local availability- Expect papaya always to be in ample supply, based on the thriving papaya trees on premise. Each order is abundant enough to be a considered a full meal in and of itself.
