*CUSTOMER BEWARE * ( 0 STARS ) This shop is a circus and ran by clowns. Read the bad reviews and my story is relatively very similar but I lost alot less money than most of the other horror stories. I was at first givin the "yeah yeah no problem" to every thing I needed....then no call backs, job performance failure AND (proven by my own repair of) a new problem with my transfer case that didn't exist before I had them do work on my truck. I was treated like a dummy and I guess they assumed I would never look under the hood of my own truck and find OBVIOUS setup sabotage of my vacuum operated cable system to the tranfer case. The main vacuum hose was deliberately disconnected and plugged with a bolt,then secured with a brand new zip tie........the transfer case worked fine BEFORE I brought it there and was not involved in the repair I had them do in the first place. BUSTED. After MY OWN repair of my sudden faulty transfer case, it works perfectly. Nice try spider, but this fly got away........and what would've been a loyal future customer. read more

This shop offers alot of services.. i cant speak for any other service besides offroad suspension install and factory suspension swap outs.. they had no problem getting the parts and slapping everything on and at first glance everything looks good. Drove it for 100 miles and brought my car back for a torque. They said everything was perfect. It was far from it.. my alignment was off and i paid for that with the new suspension and new wheels and tires. Took it to a local shop for an alignment and i immediately get a call saying that i have bolts missing and loose on my front suspension... everything Leadfoot had touched and all under 500 miles. I was tempted to take it back to leadfoot but i didnt wanna trust them with my suspension again... fast forward a few months now the lower ball joints they replaced have play in em... go figure.. of yea and the day i drove off freshly lifted from leadfoot, these geniuses installed the shock piggy back wrong and the hose fitting broke when it contacted the frame... these dudes are the mickey mouse of offroad shops. And they tried to charge me for it then claimed that king shocks wouldn't warranty it... use this shop at your own risk.. only reason i used em was cause of Instagram.. never again. read more

This is a long post, but if you don't want to waste your money and want quality work, stay away from here. RIPOFF REPORT....beware of owner his employees call him BOSSMAN his name is JOSH. this is a warning to people thinking about doing business with these guys, first off I had them put a wheel on the rear of my car and then 24 miles later the wheel fell off and damaged my car because they did not tighten it correctly. Second I had them do a custom roof rack, and they had the car a total of three months to perform this work. and I got the car home and tested it and the rack did not operate correctly. The rack was supposed to be a Custom job that opened up and closed with a convertible top, well it would not open and close once the convertible top was on. Why would they have let me pick the car up with out testing the rack first. I had to take it back to them and leave it for 2 more days. Third they fabricated up a rear cage for me but did not leave any room for me to upgrade my transmission from a bug trans to a bus trans so as soon as I got it home I had to cut it up to pick up the half inch I needed. When I took the vehicle in I we discussed that I would be doing this upgrade and needing the space. Fourth I paid a couple hundred dollars for them to do some radiator lines for me and they hooked the lines up incorrectly. totally backwards which caused the car to overheat and crack the head. The last thing they screwed up that I paid them to do was install and bleed the brakes on the car. I got it home and when they installed the new master cylinder they did not use any thread sealant and air kept getting into all the lines so I had to take things apart and put them back together correctly. all in all 3200 bucks later I am fixing a cracked head and re running radiator lines fixing brake lines they installed and fixing the parts they fabricated as well as on the rook rack they were supposed to put padding down so it wouldn't vibrate, they didn't do that either. all sales final...... These guys are a joke I have tried calling them, they always take my number and I am never called back. yes I am the one with the sick green Baja. I will be posting on yelp next and then race desert and any other forum I can find. these guys owe me a cash refund of $500 minimum, they are a JOKE. Consumer beware....RIPOFF REPORT read more

Great fab work but as far as the customer service goes it's not good. They always leave me in the dark. Returning phone calls is near impossible. Getting a quote on anything is the same as well. I wanted to provide some more details on my review of the substandard experience I had with Leadfoot Off Road... First of all, the 5 star review from "Heather" on the same day as my 1 star review is a total scam by the owner's, not a real customer. The Subaru bumpers they are referring to were mine, and the whole mockery is a perfect example of these guys' credibility. The owner called and left me a rude message about my Yelp review prior to "Heather's" glowing 5 star review.... Besides the bumpers Lead Foot fabricated for my Subaru, I ordered a bumper to complete a Jeep I was building. The Jeep bumper was ordered with a custom fabricated tube steel swing out tire carrier. I made arrangements for them to ship the Jeep bumper back inside the cargo area of the Subaru. I didn't inspect the Jeep bumper closely when it arrived, instead I stored it in a shed for a couple months until the Jeep project was ready to bolt it up. And that's when I realized how bad these guys screwed me.... First of all they used a store bought lever / latch to secure the swing out arm. No problem with that except that they welded the handle part of the latch to the tube, but they did not include any of the other components of the latch with the shipment. When they didn't respond to my message about the missing parts, I researched it on my own and bought a new latch on Amazon to harvest the missing parts. When the replacement latch arrived I put it together but the tire carrier would not stay closed. Then I realized they forgot to weld a "stop plate" to catch the swing tube on the backside. Without this there was no way to keep the tire carrier to stay in the closed position. So I removed the bumper and took it to a local fabricator to weld on the missing piece. Once the added piece was on the tire carrier functioned properly so I bolted it back up. Then I hoisted up my spare tire to secure it to the mounting plate. Well, as you may have guessed by now that didn't work either. As it turns out they did not weld the lug nut studs to the mounting plate at the correct spacing. This blew my mind because I clarified with these guys multiple times, including in writing that I needed the tire carrier to accept 6 on 5.5 lug nut pattern. So I removed the whole bumper again for a second trip to my local fabricator to have him cut off the old mounting plate and make a new one. Can you imagine paying thousands of dollars for a custom fabricated bumper, freshly powder coated only to find that (1) it is incomplete and (2) the only critical measurement that you provided and confirmed was not adhered to?? I will offer a positive and say that the design of the Subaru bumpers I purchased is strong, stylish and unique. That said, the tire carrier fits poorly against the stop plate because they are not in vertical alignment. This causes a persistent rattling noise over any bumps. Additionally there is sloppy overspray between the painted black bumper and the unpainted galvanized latch, and other sloppy details like that. All around a poor experience, and please beware of glowing reviews to the contrary. read more

Super high quality work for an amazing price! And now years later im actually in the process of having more work done to my new jeep wrangler! Leadfoot off-road is by far the best off-road shop that I have been to. First i was trying to find a USED hard top for my 08 jeep wrangler and could not find anything nice. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a NEW hard top. The only place that I knew of at the time to look was 4 Wheel Parts in west covina so i decided to give it a try. When i went there, their prices were so expensive, their not that interested in what you want and their shipment time was really long. I did not want to give them my business so I found a local shop called Leadfoot Off-road. When I first called Leadfoot Off-road, immediately, they where professional, they had the best prices, the order came in right away and the install time fast as well. Although they work on jeeps they will also accommodate you in what ever your project is. If it's a jeep or a truck they will be there for you. There is an incompetent worker that doesn't know what he's doing. I can't remember his name but he was a chubby guy in his 40s with a mustache that mostly stays in the front answering calls and writing stuff in a notebook. If it wasn't for my good research they would've probably mess up my truck and probably still charge me for their hypothetical idiotic labor. I went in there to get estimates for a body lift for my 2006 Tacoma. So that mustache guy (i think his name was Steve, not sure though but i'm just gonna call him 'Stache') asked me for my car info. Then Stache went and looked up parts in the computer and gave me estimates (install, parts, tires, alignment). Right off, I felt that it was too much for just a simple body lift. Anyway, I decided to do research on the body lift kit. I repeatedly told Stache that my Tacoma was a small 2wd with 5 lugs and not 6. Stache gave me a kit a 6 lug -_-. So I called the shop and I told Stache that it was the wrong part. He then did his 'computer magic' with his magical mustache and 'found me another kit'. Guess what? It was for a 6 lug again! Dammit Stache! So I decided to go to shop and talk to the owner Josh (he likes wearing baseball hats) and he explained to me that my type of truck doesn't cary too many kits (truthfully so because I researched it) and told me that the only way was to do a total body suspension lift and that required cutting and welding and of course, WAAAY MORE MONEY! I declined and told him that I was going to find other ways but that maybe I might bring my truck for new tires. I told him I wanted the 31" Kumho A/T 51 and he didn't know that brand and that they didn't install tires they didn't carry. Basically, pay the tires with them and then they'll install it. He offered me the BF Goodrich for $1000 (just tires) when the most places sell them for is $150-200 max per tire. I was like (in my head) 'HAHAHA you serious?' I just told them that I was going to give them a call. Obviously, I didn't and got my lift and tire install (lift, parts, labor, alignment, 4 tires) elsewhere for less than $1000. My advice, don't believe everything mechanics tell you. Specially dumb mechanics with pornstaches. Many times they want to just rip you off specially if you look like you don't know what you're doing. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! read more

These guys pretty much do everything for my Jeep lol. Found out about this place on Craigslist or Instagram while searching for an XJ. After I got my Jeep I decided to check them out since they are about 2 miles away from me...and I'm glad I did. They make nice custom rock sliders, bumpers, roof racks, etc. for all vehicles. They will custom fab anything you want. Give them and idea and they will make it for you. My XJ was already pretty built up and just needed some armor and random stuff here and there. I had my own frame stiffeners from the previous owner so Iook them to Leadfoot and they welded on my frame stiffeners, their custom rock sliders and made a small aluminum skid plate for my transfer case. The prices have always seemed reasonable to me and they get the work done quick. I've gone back 3 or so times since I first brought my Jeep in about 2 months ago. Most recently I installed a Rockhard 4x4 rear tire carrier and got a lot of sag in the rear end. A heavy bumper, 35" tire, jack, and a steel gas tank skid plate really weigh down the rear leaf springs. I read about Rough Country's 1.5"/2" shackles for the rear end. I went and talked to Josh and Phil and they happened to have the shackles in stock. Dropped my Jeep off the next day and they had the job done in an hour or two. Made a HUGE difference in height and ride quality. I highly recommend anyone in the area to check these guys out. Nice guys who know how to wrench and wheel their own rigs as well. Start off doing a lift for my Ford Excursion great price and had no problems with the work dropped it off in the morning picked it up before they closed with the lift done and alignment and I got rims and tires they matched 4 Wheel Parts price witch I thought was great I like giving my work to local shops and then told me to come back when I hit 150 to 200 miles for a retorque witch I thought was a great service and that took around 25 mins I also had them build me a Roof Rack for my Excursion and added a 50 in led bar witch they installed the rack and wired the light bar no problems and also told my dad about them and he has taking his street rods there for some work I would definitely Recommend this shop read more

Hands down. Best experience I've ever had at a shop. They made me a custom bumper for my Subaru Forester I wanted it a certain way due to the fact that I take it off-road. They executed it flawlessly. They where very nice. Especially when I made some additions to the bumpers after they where already done. I did think the price was a little high but once I saw the craftsmanship and quality of their work, I would have paid much more!! I have now taken it out on the trails twice now on 3 day trips each.
