On a recent trip to visit family in Boston my brother treated me to a 'spa day" which started off with a Bliss Ritual at Le Visage with Bea. Love the underground vibe and the receptionist was a sweetheart. I have not ever had a back facial, it was awesome!!! The quaint wait area was comfortable and had a bunch of actually readable books and magazines. Would definitely be a frequent flyer if I lived here in Boston! Highly accommodating for last minute appointments, friendly and welcoming. I've had quite a few massages in my life, but this one was one of a kind! ! It left me feeling extremely relaxed yet invigorated afterwards. The other unique thing about the place is the headrest. It was incredibly comfortable , so soft, didn't choke my skinny neck like most other places. The padding was thick but stayed in place and was also lined with a very soft material. The only other time I had been to a spa was last year on a cruise. So I wasn't really sure what to expect but being a graduate school student, I really wanted to practice some self care so I chose Le Visage on a whim and I am so happy I did! First think I noticed is that the spa is located in the basement which at first struck me as odd. However, since it's located in the financial district there are a lot of cars and construction sites. But since the spa is located below street level it creates a quiet and relaxing experience. You'd never guess you were in downtown Boston. Also, the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Anne Cecile did my facial and eye lash lift and she is so friendly and welcoming. You can clearly see that she truly cares about her clients and wants them to have the best experience possible. She stayed in the room with my the entire time of my appointment which I really appreciate. The last time I had a facial I had a mask put on my face and was left alone for twenty minutes. Her attention to detail is fantastic. She told me if I have any breakouts to let her know and I can come in to have them extracted by her. I had a lot of extractions done because of milia and blackheads. I was a little nervous about how my skin would look the next day and I have to say that my skin is healing up so well. I just had a phenomenal facial by Anne-Cecil. I am not a big Yelp reviewer, but after my experience I felt obligated to share. It is such a cute and quaint spa. I walked into a beautiful and spacious treatment room and crawled right into a warm and cozy bed/table. The facial itself was wonderful. Anne-Cecil is clearly an expert in her field and I knew I was in good hands. Even her extractions were easier and more comfortable (as comfortable as an extraction can be) than other places I have been. Her touch is gentle and efficient! She is such a sweet and caring woman and very easy to talk with. While I waited for a mask or some product to settle in, she gave me a relaxing massage - bonus! At the end of the facial we talked about my skin routine. During the pandemic, I have started having cystic chin acne and she assured me we could clear that away not just with the facial but maintenance so they don't come back! She clearly knows her stuff but she was not pushy at all with buying products. Of the products I did buy, she suggested I get the small travel sizes to test them out. All except one of the products were under $25. To top it all off, she plans to see me in 10-14 days for a post-facial consultation to ensure some of those bigger chin zits are gone and new ones aren't replacing them and to evaluate my new skin routine. This shows that she loves her job and cares about her clients. You're not just getting a 50-80 mins treatment and then clogging your pores back up again until you need to see her again. I apologize for this long winded review, but if you're even considering it do it! I came to Le Visage, following my Massage Therapist Dennis from Pyara spa and salon in Cambridge to Boston's financial district. I began seeing Dennis for massage regularly about a year ago. I was having lower back pains, leg pain, shoulder pain, and walking with swiveling hips. After just one session with Dennis I noticed a huge difference in my body. The pain was practically removed, I stood taller and walked without a swivel. He gave me a few easy stretches to do at home that helped keep the pain from returning. After seeing Dennis regularly for a while, I felt my body return to normal. His skill far surpasses that of any massage therapist I've seen in the past. I cannot recommend him enough. The spa itself is lovely. In addition to being conveniently located in a part of town quickly accessible to every train line, Le Visage is a lovely calming oasis. I have had two services here and they were both wonderful experiences. I had a facial, and it was so lovely, I scheduled a leg wax for the next week! Maria did both, and she is so sweet and lovely, that even though I came in weathered from our long, torturous winter and hairy as all get out, she made me feel comfortable and at home. What's amazing about Maria is her lightness of touch; I would have been lulled to sleep except for the slight pinch of depilation both on my lip and my leg. My leg waxing lasted three weeks (!) and my eyebrows still look awesome. I would give her six stars, but that's not allowed. Go. And remember, it's in the basement next door to the salon. Worst customer service. Unprofessional staff. After purchasing a gift card for a dear friend in the amount of $250.00 I was not refunded after finding out the only massage therapist was a male. Everyone has preferences and having one option for a massage is just something I have never heard of. But that's not the real problem here.. after first speaking with Ellie in the office, I asked to speak with the owner of the establishment as a business owner myself. I was then given a call back by a man named Paul who actually said to me "I won't let the owner waste her time speaking with you. She has more important things to tend to". What?! As a paying customer who has never even stepped foot in the establishment. He was extremely rude and told me that in his 30 years of profession he had never heard of a man not feeling comfortable with another man giving him a massage. In today's society we have to be accepting of peoples comfort and needs. This goes against our rights. He then said he had looked my business up and saw my policies on gift cards which was not only weird. It was a lie. Instead they wanted to offer $250 of facial products? What? No get another female massage therapist or money back. Altogether all of this could have been avoided had the owner of the establishment given me the respect to call me back as a paying customer to HER business. So due to the severe lack of professionalism I would never suggest this place. I spent a lot of money on a place I had never even been to. I have had massages all my life and have NEVER had one as good as Dennis. After he is finished you feel like a combination of physical therapy, chiropractic and massage has been done on you. I have been to many spas and very rarely are any of them "life changing" experiences. I had a facial done by Anne-Cecile when I was in town for PAX East. It was one of the most wonderful spa experiences of my life. First of all, Anne-Cecile is a fantastic person inside and out. She helped me fix my skin regimen and got me hooked on Rhonda Allison products. Normally, I don't fall for products sold in a spa or endorsed by the esthetician, BUT Anne-Cecile knows what she is talking about. Thank god for her or I'd still be rotating terrible and overpriced products onto my face. My skin has not looked this good since accutane (skin of an angel). Second, this place is a gem. The services that are offered are amazing and I'm so tempted to book the one hour flight to Boston just to spend the day here. Anne-Cecile was going to leave for a skin convention soon after my appointment. The best people to go to are the ones always trying to learn and improve! Third, hands-down the best facial. Anne-Cecile stayed in the room the entire time with me. I hate when the esthetician just smothers on a mask and leaves for 20-30 minutes. Also, I didn't leave looking like I got punched in the face (as another Yelp reviewer said). Anne-Cecile was gentle and used some techniques I have never experienced anywhere else (Bisous Magic!). I should have posted this by now but better late than never. Dennis Meade is an incredible massage therapist! He has an amazing way of finding the right areas that need to be worked on, and addresses them with just the right amount of pressure and attention. After my last massage with him (which was my 3rd) I honestly felt like he'd loosened so much tension I had through my lower left side that it realigned my gait and helped lengthen the muscles. Even a few days after the massage I still have better mobility and flexibility on that side. Dennis listens to what you need or want worked on and will also explain to you where the pain might be stemming from so you can do things about it at home. He also gives you stretches at the end which can be a huge help. I will be continuing to have Dennis as my massage therapist! read more

I've never had a facial before coming here three weeks ago. I've been looking forward to my next facial with Joy since I left! It was so relaxing. I had a really rough week and decided to treat myself and I'm so glad I did. My skin looked so dewy but not oily when I left. Even though it's pricey, I'm looking forward to budgeting for this every month or two for my me time. I don't wear makeup so I don't mind spending a bit more of skin care. I had a 90 minute massage with Dennis last Thursday for my birthday and a week later I feel so relieved from all the tension. Dennis did an amazing job focusing on areas that I needed work the most. Le Visage is a wonderful hidden gem! I got an eyelash lift done by the owner, Anne-Cecile. The process was calming and relaxing! I've had lifts done before and didn't like the process, and they always burned my eyes. Anne's procedure is European and is completely painless. I didn't love the initial results so i called her a few hours later and Anne squeezed me in to add a little more lift - the end result was amazing!!!! My eyelashes grow straight down and now I look like I have fake eyelashes! But naturally! I couldn't recommend this spa anymore, i can't wait to come back for a facial soon!!
