I cannot say enough about Pour Le Corps. I have been going to Patrice for electrolysis since I was in college. She is wonderful, and very professional always gives me the best service. If you want someone who will do an amazing job with hair removal, Patrice is the best in Boston and I wouldn't go to anyone else. I also see Gwen at Pour Le Corps for my facials. Again, amazing service and a wonderful facial. I have had problem skin since I was a teenager. However, with Gwen's facials my skin has started to "sing" and the older I have gotten the better it is looking all thanks to Gwen! I also consider pricing to be very favorable at this cute business! I love Pour le Corps! read more

I haven't been during COVID, but I've come to Pour le Corps a few times before. I've had a microdermabrasion facial before and also deep cleansing facials. It is a great price and Gwen is great. My skin always feels supple and alive after leaving Pour le Corps. I highly recommend Gwen considering the great products she uses and affordable pricing for Newbury st. read more

Patrice is just awesome! I have been going here for electrolysis for several months now and I couldn't be happier. Its a small place and I really like that because you know exactly who your appointment will be with and they remember you and whatever issues your skin might have. Also, they are very flexible about letting you schedule appointments kinda last minute if they have the space and since I am a student with a crazy schedule, I really appreciate that. Electrolysis is definitely not a party but Patrice has a great hand and makes it tolerable, also she is very, very thorough in her treatments and I mean she gets every last little hair that you want removed -- every single sucker! Oh, and they also offer student discounts! read more

I stopped by yesterday with a Groupon, and was extremely pleased. Lovely experience with a knowledgeable, friendly woman named Gwen who provided fantastic customer service. 24 hours later, my skin is looking. Overall, I am very pleased. read more

I came to Patrice after I had a bruise from my previous treatment. I am amazed at how effective these treatments have been. I am almost done! The best thing about Patrice is her skill level, "special glasses" she owes it to. Location is also very good. Support small business! read more

If I could, I would give it 3 1/2 stars. Pour Le Corps has been very good. I get electrolysis done and I have been going for over a year now. Patrice is very thorough with her job and only begins the next step in the process when she feels like the first step is absolutely complete, which I really appreciate. Sometimes the scheduling/desk work is a bit unprofessional in its manner, but I think it is due to the small, intimate style of the salon. It is only Gwen and Patrice (as far as I know), and they run it all. The only other thing that has bothered me quite a bit is Patrice has picked up the phone during our sessions. And not just the salon phone, her own personal cell phone! That is extremely unprofessional to me. She always politely tells the person on the other line that she is busy, but let them leave a voicemail. That's what its there for! However, Patrice's services are so well done and I'm seeing such great results that I will let that slide. But only because of the results and great pricing. read more

So guess whose noticing a difference in their cottage cheese;) Yes! After five treatments I can officially say, SYNERGIE CELLULITE TREATMENTS ARE LEGIT!!! At first I thought it was just me...as a women, its in our nature to obsess about things like weight, blemishes, hair, breast etc., so I thought that the reduction in cellulite I saw was a combination of 'wanting to' and 'starring at my butt every night'--so basically an illusion. Well, not so much...guess who else noticed a difference? My husband. O.k., I know what you're saying, "husbands will say anything you want them too and/or anything to prevent death stares and cutting eyes." You're right, but here's what seals the deal. Pictures! Yup. Before I started my Synergie treatments I took pictures of my front and back side to use as a point of reference. Very nice difference. Now keep in mind that 15 treatments are recommended and I'm noticing a change at the 1/3 mark. The final results should be phenomenal. Not sure if you can post butt pictures on Yelp but I'm going to try, they're cropped so if someone tries to upload my picture to a raunchy porn site I'll just deny it was me, lol. Anyway, if you see butt pics for Pour Le Corps "they're of my girlfriends butt who went to Pour Le Corps, lol." If you don't see them, Yelp must have taken them down;) At any rate, feel free to email me for "her pictures." read more

I really like Pour Le Corps. I've only had treatments from Gwen, the owner. I've had a facial and some bikini waxes. Gwen is professional and very nice. I don't get facials often, but by far she has given the best facial. I was confident in her skills as an aestician, which is important when someone is working on your face. As for waxing, she did a thorough job and uses hard wax, which I prefer. It's small inside - but cute. And it's also clean. I would recommend Pour Le Corps to a friend or any of you reading this review. read more

Gwen was super meticulous and gentle when doing my facials. The whole experience was very relaxing and my skin was always glowing after every session. The basic facial included cleansing, masking, extraction and facial massage. She was also kind enough to answer my questions and concerns about my skin. Highly recommend her place for monthly facials! read more

First of all, it's the only place in Boston (excluding the burbs) that carries Jane Iredale make up. It's located in a nice building with a really great old elevator (with the metal cage doors that you have to open yourself). Patrice was very friendly and spent a hour picking out the perfect shade of foundation that matches my skin. She finally put on three shades on me, one after another to see which one I (and my partner sitting quietly though obviously bored on a nearby chair) thought looked best. What was great about this place was that it was very low key, friendly, and didn't rush you. If you're into the whole modern look with pretty but mean young people walking around with judgemental looks on their faces, this place isn't for you. This is not a scene place. It's a comfortable low light home with genuinely helpful people who will give you advice and do an excellent job. Patrice didn't try to sell me the whole line, and even recommended products they didn't carry! She also didn't charge me for the make-up application because I was going to buy the foundation! Definitely a place I'll return for refills and to try something else that they offer. read more

Just had a facial with Gwen today through a Groupon. One of the most relaxing facials I've ever had. The facial was thorough, and she took her time with each step. The facial massage was heavenly! I also liked her "no frills" way about her, meaning, she didn't try to up sell me on treatments or get me to buy products. I also felt no pressure to book another facial after, but I loved it so much that I did! Her location is easy to get to and is warm and inviting. I can't wait to go back! read more

Pour Le Corp is great! I've had electrolysis and eyebrow shaping from Patrice, one of the owners. I've been to a bunch of different electrolysists, and she is the most thorough person I've ever had work on my face - she really gets every last little hair, even the blond ones that only bother me and that other electrolysists have just skipped over in the past. She also did a great job with my eyebrow shaping - when I told her what I had in mind, she offered some counter-suggestions, and she was totally right. I really appreciate when specialists speak up and offer their opinions and input. She wasn't pushy about it at all, just really nice and helpful. The place is small, but very clean and professional. So far I've had no problem scheduling appointments just 1 day prior to when I want to come in. Their prices are reasonable and they offer a student discount. read more

Gwen made my skin feel like a baby's bottom! Her peaceful energy made for a very relaxing experience! I highly recommend Gwen!

I had a deep cleansing facial with Gwen and she was fantastic. I was her first client and showed up early but she had everything ready to go. The facial itself was incredibly relaxing: Gwen briefly explained everything she was doing and answered my questions but otherwise she just had light piano music playing for a calm, comfortable atmosphere. She did extractions, exfoliation, and a mask among other things. She also gave a very good shoulder/arm massage. My skin felt amazing, hydrated, and soft afterwards. read more

Gwen is great. Most relaxing facial I've ever had. She does early morning appointments so I could be seen before work!

I'm not sure what the poster who only gave this place one star for electrolysis was talking about. I started going to Patrice years ago, and she's so good, that I no longer need her! I have sent numerous friends to her and they all rave about her. I'd gone to other hair removal specialists but they don't hold a candle to Patrice. I've also been seeing Gwen for facials, microdermabrasion and waxing services for several years and she makes one feel so relaxed. A lovely place in a really cool building with gorgeous architectural details. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Exellent Service. I saw Gwen for an eyebrow wax, and she did a great job. She very nice and friendly. My eyebrows have never looked better. It was a bit pricey but well worth every penny. read more

I absolutely love Pour Le Corps!! Gwen has been my esthetician there for over 10 years and I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere! I get microdermabrasion facials and waxing done regularly. I started seeing Gwen when I started breaking out in my awkward teenage phase. I had tried tons of products to try to clear my skin and nothing worked. Within 3 treatments with Gwen, my face looked so much better and I knew I had found my solution!! Side note: She is also the nicest person you will meet!!! read more

My primary care physician at Brigham recommended Patrice after I had some complications from Laser Hair removal. Patrice is incredibly kind and attentive to detail. She is very careful to pay attention to your needs (I have very sensitive skin, which makes the process a bit more difficult), and is very clean. Pour le Corps is a comfortable office and convenient location. The price is very reasonable. I'm very glad my doctor recommended this as an option. read more

Not recommended for transgender people. I know this isn't relevant to most people, but my experience was really unpleasant. I felt objectified, inferior and unsafe. read more

I came in with high expectations, but was incredibly disappointed with my whole experience at Pour Le Corps. The customer service was very unprofessional and came out completely unconvinced that the woman there could do a proper electrolysis treatment. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Very pleasant experience here. I had to reschedule several times, but Gwen was exceedingly understanding. I used a Groupon for a microdermabrasion facial and it was a great first time having gotten one. I also appreciate that, when I asked Gwen what she'd recommend for my next service, she didn't try to up-sell me on another (more expensive) MD facial; instead, she advised that a regular one would be best for me. Peaceful and relaxing setting, and my skin feels and looks wonderful. read more

I've been going to Pour le Corps for the past few months for Synergie cellulite treatment, and I have been SO happy with both the results and the service. The treatment has been great - it has been effective at targeting and treating some places on my legs that NOTHING (not exercise, not creams, not healthy diets) have been able to change for years. But perhaps even more importantly, Gwen is one of the nicest people I've ever met! While going once or twice a week for the treatment could be seen as a time burden, I actually look forward to each session because Gwen makes it fun! She's flexible with scheduling, and she's so great that once my Synergie treatments are done, I'll probably go back to get her facials - I've heard they're great, and I love seeing her! Couldn't recommend more highly. read more

Since I last posted Pour Le Corps still provides the best electrolysis service in Boston, and their facials cannot be beat. Patrice has successfully managed the hirsutism I had from PCOS and then from my pregnancy hormones. Gwen successfully gave me the skin I wish I had in my 20s. Soon after I got pregnant, I tried to offset my bad pregnancy skin through weekly visits at Exhale, followed by Bliss. Facials at neither location worked but rather aggravated my sensitive skin. Gwen is a miracle worker on pregnancy and post-pregnancy skin. I cannot recommend her regular facials and micro-derm facials enough. Her facials are relaxing, gentle and done with care. I also switched over to her for waxing which was also painless for sensitive pregnant skin. I don't think there is any one better in Boston, and I've been in the City for 15+ years. read more

I have been going to Gwen for my bikini wax for years now and I love Pour Le Corps. Gwen is so nice and does a great job. They are so flexible with appointment times and they offer great customer service. I am going to use Patrice for electrolysis, I have my first appointment in a couple weeks and I'm looking forward to it. read more

I LOVE Gwen. She is really gifted and the aromatherapy facial with her is DIVINE. It's one of my favorite treats and I look forward to seeing her and getting the totally awesome glow from this treatment. I've had other facials and they just don't compare. This one is SUBLIME. Super relaxing environment and great customer service. I'm hooked on this facial and highly recommend. read more

I just finished a microdermabrasion/facial with Gwen and it was a wonderful experience. I purchased a Groupon and was bracing myself for a bit of attitude as I didn't purchase this full price. Gwen was so pleasant and inviting - the microdermabrasion was great, but the subsequent facial with Decleor products was the real treat - it was so incredibly calming. I will most definitely be going back to her! read more

I have been going to POur le Corps for over ten years, it is simply the best facial in town. Gwen is a master esthetician and also the kindest person you will ever meet. So many people ask me what products I use to maintain A glowing complexion....I mix and match but the real secret is Pour le Corps. read more
