Spent a week in Paris. Stayed in an apartment not far from this restaurant. In a city as large and offering so many options, it's rare to visit the same restaurant twice. But my group of 7 found ourselves here on two occasions.
Our first visit was after a long day of sights, walking and soaking up all that is Paris. We were on our way home and found ourselves at Le Terminus. I was immediately intrigued by the name... give that I'm from Atlanta and that's the original name of our city, Terminus. Never got the story behind the name, but it really didn't matter at the moment. It was all about the food, environment, and service. And these folks had it all going on.
Nice space, just the right lighting, not too small, not too big. Great menu and we quickly learned, great service!
On my first trip, we had an appetizer (called Entree there) of pork cold cuts, pate, cheeses, etc. All very tasty. I then had the entrecote (steak) with frites (fries). Also very tasty. The steak was seasoned strongly, which was ok for the moment. The bearnaise sauce was more of a bearnaise butter. Very rich.
Afterward, I had the crème brûlée. Amazing. The sugar layer wasn't as thick as I was lead to believe it was supposed to be in a proper crème brûlée. Definitely a treat.
On our second trip, I had the escargot, lamb chops and crepes. Be careful to do the math. There is a "menu" option (pre-set price for 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 desert) that isn't always the best pricing. In one Paris restaurant, the "menu" included a glass of champagne, but we all found better pricing just ordering regular list of options.
Just a great environment, great staff and service, good food and drinks. And VERY convenient. Enjoy! read more
