There is a huge selection of quality items and it's helpful to be able to get more of a sense of them in person rather than limited pictures and dimensions through online retailers. I've been coming to them for years, since it was at their previous location and have never been disappointed. Don't miss their little side section (through the doorway to your right as soon as you walk in the front door) if you're looking for more BDSM-focused items. I was here many times before I stumbled in and was pleasantly surprised at the huge selection! But that tracks with the wonderful offerings in the rest of the store. You can't go wrong with Night Dreams!

I kept on looking around and notice I was pretty much alone in the store. I looked at the wallets, but saw none I liked or wanted. The tiny batman card holder wallet does it job for me. I remember Spencer's always having adult humor, but it seems the store has stepped up their game with butt plugs, whips, chains, penis shaped macaroni and cheese and more. Lingerie seems to be a big thing now. Spencer's has really changed with the times and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Looking at the toys, I see a few of them I have tried. There was a time I wasn't comfortable with my sexuality. There was a brother who showed up one day with two beautiful white girls. He talked to me and got personal very quickly. I was very uncomfortable and left the room. He got in one final question before I left the room. He asked me if I have ever had a woman preform analingus on me. I think about what he might have happened if I had stayed. Those white girls were very pretty.. On my way out of the store, my thoughts returned to the here and now. I saw one staff member organizing supplies. She did not look like she wanted to be bothered. Nevertheless, I had a good time.

An employee was very helpful with suggesting different items in this store.   I saw Manic Panic has been replaced with Arctic Fox semi-permanent hair dye.  I think it would be very cool if this dye could be a permanent hair dye.  I know my wife would enjoy this better. I saw Billie Eilish posters and shirts, but I got the feeling of a deeply depressed woman when looking at the posters and shirts.  I am sure she has a much better personality than the posters and shirts let on. Speaking of shirts, I  enjoyed looking at  Michael Myers  Halloween shirts.  The shirt where Myers is standing on a bridge, looks like a painting a can't place.  Nevertheless,  I like the shirt. I also liked the shirt where Michael Myers is giving you the finger. Yeah, Michael Myers is showing some emotion.  The third shirt is nothing special, but I do have it in the photo I took.   There are two things I normally look for when coming to Spencer's Gifts.  The first would be the wallets.   I bought two tiny Batman wallets, but since that time, they have all been abolished....just like the Batman Arkham Harley Quinn wallets. The other item I look for are the throw blankets.  I aquired a Harley Quinn throw blank from the Batman Arkham series.  I like to see what new throw blankets are being sold.  I never know if I might end up buying another throw blanket for $29.99 It is always fun visiting Spencer's Gifts.  I might be back for the adult toys for my wife's birthday.

The cheapest video I saw was for $2.99 If you are shopping around for a movie for $.99, you might be out if luck. Hell not even the porn is going to be $.99, but we will get to that later on. Looking around inside the shop, some upgrades have been made. This is apparently obvious in the porn section, but we will get to that later. The office layer of the shop is located by the porno mags. I wasn't 100% sure you couldn't walk up to there and start looking at Big Jugs or Booty Mamma, but maybe you can. Walking around in the rated R section to PG section is all in the same place. Police Academy got my attention on CD, but there was a crusty brown substance on the case that changed my mind on buying it. There two employees there offered no greeting, but if you made eye contact with them, they gave you a head nod. It did not talk look to walk around the place. A poster of Final Destination 5 caught my eye. It occurs to me that I never made it past Final Destination 3. Guess the desire of seeing more of Tony Todd went away. Finally, I decided to check out the porn island. From the looks of things, this could be where porn goes to die. I saw many things from Cheri Poppin Daddies, to Cum on Eileen. You had porn that were parodies of shows/movies like Scooby Doo...(Hey, Velma Dinkley is a hotty)... , The Matrix, and many more. Honestly, my mind was thinking you could look this stuff up online for free instead of paying for it, but hey, what ever gets you going. I saw some autographs of porn stars that have been to this shop. The porn section has grown and you are being watched. What I did not see is the Manga, Anime and Hentai section, but I am sure it is there. Before I left the store with nothing purchased, I found out from the manager you can ret or buy videos here. Hey, I like porn, but I wasn't really into it all that much this time around. Not even the pictures of White Girl's backsides was all that good. Guess I just had to be in the mood. Anyhow, I am amazed this place is till around, but you can still buy VHS (Video Home System) Tapes here. Talk about a blast from the past. Old School Can Still Be Cool.

To top it off, we selected several videos from the 25 cent clearance area and the person working there immediately came over and started telling us how everything was actually $1-5 instead of a quarter. We just walked out and left all of our purchases there instead of getting them. My guess is that Covid will drive them out of business sooner rather than later and that's probably a good thing.

TL;DR: Not going back…read more I'd noticed this store years ago, but since it seemed to only sell underwear, I never went it. Finally, though, when I saw a sign outside mentioning Cut Loose, one of my favorite brands of clothing, I stopped in. The front of the store holds tops and the back of the store has a rack of jeans -- one brand I like is featured there (NYDJ). The rest of the store has underwear and pajamas. I have found at least one item at this store that I wear a lot -- a pair of NYDJ jeans. I prefer it when no one helps me, when I can look through the store on my own and decide if I like something or not. However, usually either the owner helps me or her associate does. Once I had both helping me when I was trying on bras. They also grabbed a bunch of tops for me to try on and exclaimed how wonderful they all looked on me. I ended up buying a number of tops, plus the bra that day. At one point during my fitting, one of the woman suggested I exercise. I'd never had anyone tell me that (except doctors and my kids and husband). I was offended, but still purchased the items. Of the items I bought that day, the only thing I've worn much is the bra. I keep trying on one item, but it just is not me. The others, well, I have worn them once or twice, but they are not me either. I've continued to go to the store, sometimes buying items, usually not. The most recent visit was my last though. I'd been to lunch with a friend, and parked in the parking lot where this store is located. I figured I had some time left on my parking stub, so went to check out what was on sale. The owner was there and asked if I'd shopped there before -- I was masked, so I understand that she didn't recognize me, but when I dropped my mask, she still didn't. That's okay. She asked my size, and pointed me to what she called cute tops in the front. I found nothing cute, in fact everything was pretty tacky in my opinion. I mentioned that the jeans I were wearing (same brand as they carry) were size 4. She told me they were too long. I countered that I liked my pants long and she argued if they were shorter they could be rolled up to become capris.

Just this past weekend my wife needed new bras and the places we were going to offered no help whatsoever. My wife was feeling depressed and unhappy, because her favorite places to go to are no longer in business. The idea of going to Torrid's came to mind. We did so and the good times started happening upon entering the store. The ambience upon entering the room was filled with a warm inviting vibe. The associates there welcomed us to their humble abode. Tonya (our sales associate)was very helpful and personally assisted my wife with the bra size she desperately needed. The Torrid store is much bigger than I thought. The fitting rooms are in a separate section, but spacious from what I saw. Guys (at the time) were on their phones waiting for their significant other to get done trying on clothing. While my wife was trying on her bras, I had the chance to look around and pick out some outfits I would like to see her wear. I even saw The Sanrio Underwear featuring Kuromi. If you don't know who this is, here is a small rundown on her. "Kuromi is a popular, edgy Sanrio character introduced in 2005 via the anime Onegai My Melody. A white, bunny-like creature (not a cat) who wears a black jester's hat with a pink skull, she is known as My Melody's mischievous, punk-rock rival . Kuromi is a fan-favorite, especially within emo/goth subcultures, appealing to followers with her rebellious yet secretly girly personality." Now that we got that out of the way, we can get on to the heart of the matter. Oh yeah, I forgot. There were underwear with Donald Duck's girlfriend on the underwear too. My wife ended up choosing 4 bras that matched her sizes and needs. Tonya was there to help assist in all the questions my wife had. This kind of service is something the other stores did not provide. Tonya possessed the knowledge, the knowhow and the willingness to go beyond the call of duty. This is what makes this experience at Torrid's different from the other stores we had visited. We also were pleasantly surprised to be told this is a by one get one free event. My wife was thing this was going to be costly as bras can be. This Buy One, Get One Free deal helped save money. I will be certain to be buying some Purple, Royal Blue and Emerald Green bras in the future for my wife. If things are as great for her, we could end up getting a credit card for this store. We will certainly be returning to Torrid's in the near future. The value of this experience was worth the past disappointment of other places.
