Where do I even begin? Frances and her team at Charmed Events are truly wedding planning magicians!…read moreWith 14 years of experience as a Floral and Event Designer myself, I've had the privilege of working with some of the best planners in California. When it came to planning my own Carmel Valley wedding, there was no question in my mind - Frances was the one! Having collaborated with Frances over the years, I've always been struck by her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuinely warm personality. Her design aesthetic is just dreamy - romantic, modern, and effortlessly sophisticated. There's a certain magic in the weddings she designs, always infused with personal touches that make them feel special and unique to the couple. Throughout my wedding planning journey, I gained a newfound appreciation for Frances from a client's perspective. She not only listened attentively to our ideas but also transformed them into a breathtakingly cohesive design concept that perfectly reflected us as a couple. Every detail was just beautiful! Also, amidst some issues that arose with the venue, Frances proved to be our steadfast ally and advocate, navigating unforeseen challenges with grace and diplomacy, ensuring every detail was ironed out. As the wedding approached, Frances introduced us to her principal planner and right-hand woman, Emily. Together, these two are a powerhouse duo! While Emily handled logistics such as transportation, vendor coordination, and timeline, Frances focused on executing the design vision flawlessly. As a complete bonus to their already awesome services, Frances also personally designed all of our signage, menus, seating charts, and programs. Personally, I would have had her design my invitations had I known of her talents sooner! On the big day, Frances and Emily were our guardian angels, orchestrating every moment with precision and grace. Emily's attentive care during the morning-of made me feel like a princess. She brought me and my bridesmaids delicious bites, made sure my dress and veil were perfect during first look photos, and her calming presence helped to ease my nerves. Meanwhile, Frances was busy overseeing the vendors, and set up of the ceremony and reception, which were honestly executed to perfection. The reveal of each space took our breath away and exceeded all expectations. It was truly a fairytale come to life! One more thing I want to mention about these two was that they really listened to our request to make sure that the wedding didn't feel rushed, and that we even had some moments with just the two of us. The timeline was so thoughtfully crafted that on the big day, it really didn't feel like the "blur" that everyone talks about. We were able to be present with each other, and even visit with our guests during cocktail hour and reception. There was a sense of ease about the day that allowed me to really just take it all in, and I think that is very special. Thanks to Frances and Emily, our wedding day was stunningly beautiful, perfectly orchestrated, and absolutely unforgettable. If you're in search of a planner who embodies competence, professionalism, and impeccable style, look no further. With Charmed Events, you'll receive the five-star treatment you deserve and an exceptionally magical day tailored just for you!

So, even though I have a strong sense of how weddings operate and the timeline required to complete everything before the big day, I was completely lost with how I wanted to envision my own wedding. Thanks to Laura, all of my challenges and anxieties were solved in a professional, timely, communicative, and organized way. She went above and beyond to extend her consulting and month-of services and put together a wedding of 190 just two months before the date. I knew I wanted a black tie wedding and for it to be FUN and memorable, but I struggled to make executive decisions on anything and everything involving it. I consulted with a few wedding coordinators in the months leading to the Big Day, and in all honesty, I felt no connection with these other wedding planning, and that was important to me. Some of them made me feel like it may be impossible to plan for our wedding within our limited timeline. But once I found Lara, and she told me that she was able to execute my vision despite the time constraints and at prices far below competing wedding planners, I was completely relieved. Lara exercized incredible professionalism, sensitivity and creativity with our wedding vision. With her help, we were able to finalize vendors and the vision of the wedding in record time! She made me feel like the most important bride! The connections she has made throughout her career made my wedding planning so much easier, trustworthy, and FUN! We would consult once a week, and she would provide me with helpful tasks and strategies to move the planning along. With her organized spreadsheet we were able to plan a wedding in one month! Lara has a collaborative and understanding approach, which is what I needed! I didn't necessarily want to hand all the planning to the wedding coordinator, and Lara understood that and really worked with us to plan an amazing day. She managed the vendors and would only email me with questions whenever necessary. It was amazing! The miracle was getting it done in such a limited time. But not only did she go above and beyond in planning our wedding when competing planners turned us down, she consulted me during stressful times when I was feeling overwhelmed. The day of the wedding, Lara and her team made that night so magical that I wish I could do it all over again.

Our planning chats became such a fun and creative outlet for me, and she understood my vision so completely that every mockup she showed me blew me away. As an anxious, type-A bride, having someone so responsive and reassuring (even answering late-night texts) made me feel fully supported throughout the journey. On the wedding day, Victoria went above and beyond in every way. She was there for every moment, literally helping me with dress changes and jumping in to smooth out any little inconvenience before I even had to ask. She even thought of things I never would have, like packing two extra meals for me to take home (because she knew I probably wouldn't eat enough that day) and making sure our cake was wrapped and delivered so we could enjoy it after the wedding. Thanks to her, I was able to be completely present and stress-free, and our family and guests kept telling us it was the best and most well-planned wedding they had ever been to. When those final weeks hit, she emerged like Mariah Carey the day after Thanksgiving and took over everything! It was as a sight to behold. She ran a cadre of vendors graceful as a symphony conductor. She thought of everything and missed nothing. Last minute decor adjustments, keeping me fed, my husband on time, running for the missing wedding ring. It was a pleasure to have her as part of the process and the day. Her level of attention to detail usually comes with a rigid type-A personality. But her management and people skills are as exceptional as her coordination. She was a delight to work with and have with us throughout our special day. People were genuinely shocked at how relaxed I was in the lead up (I'm not the relaxed kind). That was ALL Kelsey.

We wanted to minimize our planning efforts and reduce the number of vendors we'd need to hire, so this was a win-win for us. Working with Luxe was a great experience from beginning to end. We had an initial consultation with Savannah and quickly settled on a theme, table settings, chairs, etc. They had a wide selection from which to choose, and we definitely felt like we had many great options without being overwhelmed by choice. We later went to Luxe's new space in downtown Morgan Hill where we viewed a mocked up table set with all of our selections--this made it so easy to visualize what we were going to get on the day of the wedding. We made a few adjustments and Savannah simply grabbed the new items from storage. We quickly settled on the final design and pricing. She…read morehelped us turn our fuzzy, vague handwaves about "vibe" and "feel" of our ideal wedding, and turned it into the most incredible (wedding-themed) 2-day, 3-night party we've ever thrown. Whatever roadblocks get thrown into your way, she plows through and *makes it happen*. Any wedding planner working during Covid has to roll with the punches, but Jamie humored us through a few different revisions to the criteria for venue selection, a couple curveballs once we finally found a place we liked (in the middle of nowhere, with no dishwasher on site!), and so many, many harebrained ideas that she helped us filter out or make real. Creative -- delightfully. Organized -- incredibly. Communicative -- consistently (even when she had to chase us down because we were distracted ). Adaptable -- stupendously. Pragmatic -- appropriately. Some of the planners we met early in the process felt like they'd plan a beautiful event, but one that aligned with *their* aesthetic and needs (or a particular trend's), rather than ours. Jamie and her team made *our* dream reality (and added so many wonderful touches along the way!), and I couldn't be more grateful for that.

One word of warning is that hiring a good wedding planner doesn't remove the work to plan a good wedding. You still need to make decisions because it is YOUR wedding (and your wedding budget)! But it guarantees that you WILL have a good wedding. And we (me, husband, and guests) had a fantastic wedding weekend. My husband and I had a two day wedding celebration. The second casual "picnic" was arguably more complex despite its deceptively simple appearance due to Jamie having to transform a raw empty space into an event venue. The first day of our wedding went without a hitch. It was shocking how Jamie somehow made herself blend in with the rest of the crowd, yet was everywhere at once to conduct the event. ALL of our vendors complimented me (really, her) that she was the most professional, responsive, and organized planner they had ever worked with. She was so thorough - without Jamie, we are sure that we would have missed many small details that, while they wouldn't have messed up our wedding, made our day all the more presentable and comfortable. The second day (picnic) of our wedding was interesting. It was the day California experienced not any rain, but the crescendo into the historic "bomb cyclone" the following day. Days before our picnic, we had to scrap almost all of our original plan because our venue would have been flooded (and it was indeed underwater by our picnic day). We still don't know how Jamie pulled this off but she managed to transform our alternate venue (an empty cabin) into a spectacular indoor picnic spot. She had to re-do the furniture order and the layout. It worked. And that is without a doubt where I would have completely fallen apart without having Mango Muse. We are so grateful. Do yourself a favor and hire Jamie and her team :)
