I've been here a few times. I've had the Chile Relleno Crepes, the Dessert Fruit Crepe, their Peach Iced Tea, and today we had the Poblano Breakfast Scramble, the Lobster Benedict, and the side of dollar-sized pancakes with milk chocolate and white chocolate chips. Overall, the food is really good. The atmosphere is lovely. The service is now really quick. (They were of course slower during the grande opening.) The Lobster Benedict was really good, and while we would have loved more lobster, I think it was a bargain for only ~$15 and would have expected a $4 upcharge if we wanted more lobster. The eggs were runny and the egg whites weren't cooked completely solid (which is how I prefer it, but you may want to mention that you want your egg whites cooked through if that would bother you). The Poblano Breakfast Scramble was perfect. It was just the right amount of food and, with the hefty portion of Peasant Potatoes, it's a big breakfast. (We took most of the potatoes to go.) The pancakes were excellent. I love that we could add ingredients to the side dish of two smaller pancakes instead of having to order another entree. The restaurant seems to have an issue with flies and gnats currently. I hope they get that issue resolved. I also noticed that the hashbrowns tasted as if the oil they were cooked in was "off." I hope that is an isolated issue. Overall, I think this is a great restaurant and I'm quite happy with their extensive menu, atmosphere, service, and food. read more

Potatoes were really salty... even with ketchup they were extremely salty. I don't like how they have the water containers sitting on the tables with the ice melted and flies landing all over them. Emotionless servers that don't smile. Cooks stare at you like creeps. read more

My wife and I went to Le Peep today (July 19th) for brunch. We arrived at 1:15, excited and ready for a great meal. We had a terrible experience from beginning to end. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the owner. This review is intended for the owner. If I were the owner, I'd sure want to know how my investment is doing. We entered and asked if we could sit at a particular table and the server responded: "sure it has just been wiped down." The table was clearly not clean, it had rings and residue from the previous party's drink glasses and plates. After several minutes I asked a server if any of the potato dishes included onions. She told me no. I asked if I could add onions to my potatoes. She asked a coworker and she joined our conversation and said the peasant potatoes came with onions. That was news to the first server. I ordered the Belgian Waffle Combo, with eggs over medium, link sausage and peasant potatoes. What I received was eggs horribly undercooked (not even over easy - the whites weren't cooked), patty sausage and a cold waffle with no butter. I ordered coffee with cream. I received a carafe of coffee (I like the carafe idea) that was lukewarm warm at best. I had to ask for cream and a spoon. When the server went to the kitchen window to get the link sausage an argument ensued. Nothing major but I heard the exchange. Why? While we were waiting for our meal I witnessed a server bring two fried eggs out to a table next to us. They were placed on the table in front of a customer. After a minute or two the customer waived down the server to tell her she didn't order these. The server took them back to the kitchen window where a discussion took place. At this point I was curious so I watched the eggs sit in the window. Literally five minutes later the fried eggs were slipped off of their original plate (that had been previously delivered to another customer) and onto a larger plate of other food and delivered to yet another table! While we were eating the server staff held a pow wow near the kitchen window to discuss staffing. They argued that five servers were too many. They were discussing this at length with the female cook (manager???). In summary, this establishment has serious issues: 1) Cleanliness - The restaurant was not clean. Our table surface was dirty even though we were told it had just been "wiped down." The floor was dirty. 2) Chaos - Servers everywhere but poor service throughout. Servers don't know the menu. Zero follow through. 3) Sanitation - In addition to the cleanliness issues stated earlier, serving food that had previously been served to another customer is unacceptable. Serving fried eggs with raw whites is just gross. And hot food should be served hot. My waffle was cold. What a shame. Great menu, good location but the staff failed at every turn. read more

This place was ok. Pleasant atmosphere. Nice staff. I sat at the bar on a quiet Wednesday morning. My chicken fried steak, cheese grits and bacon were really good. The coffee was good, and they leave you a mini coffee pot for refills which is always a plus. My eggs were undercooked and largely inedible. The front door was screwed up and left ajar the whole time and flies were getting in and buzzing around. I'm sure there were even more flies in the kitchen. My meal was around $27. One server said she's quitting but hasn't told management yet. Another said she's hoping to get hired by Waffle House. That's probably where I'll go next time instead of here. read more

First of all, some of these negative reviews are a bit much. Yes, there was one fly because we live in Florida and it's summer. The food was absolutely amazing! I loved having water on the table as we didn't have to ask for any refills. Our waitress was the kindest person. We got our food relatively quickly at a clean table with a nice atmosphere. The potatoes were amazing. I was only sad because I didn't have a book to bring to exchange for another one. read more

I had a nice visit here with my kiddos on a Saturday morning around 9:30. It was warm inside, but started to cool off as we dined. Not sure if it's due to all the natural light that comes in. It is welcoming inside. I love how they've transformed from the old mediterranean spot. We were seated promptly after a table was cleared. The churro french toast sticks were stand outs. I found the breakfast burrito, while huge, lacked flavor overall. The pork chile saved the dish IMO. I tried my kids' pancakes and they too were just OK. Our waitress was pleasant. I will definitely be back to try something else. They also have a FREE library, bring a book, take a book which I found SO precious. I'd really give this spot 3.5 stars, 4 if I enjoyed my entree. read more

First I was upset that Yassou wasn't there anymore. Than I realized this new breaky and lunch spot is owned by the same person. The food looked and was delicious. They have the biggest gluten sensitive menu I have seen so far including waffles and French toast as well as different Benedict options. It's a little bit on the louder side. Best breakfast in Southwood! They've only been open for a week, but our visit was perfect from start to finish. The restaurant is nice and bright, and there was plenty of parking when we arrived at 10am. I highly recommend the corned beef hash, served with poached eggs, something you can't find in many places. Ate at le peep for father's day. I came with a friend just a party of 2 not celebrating the day. We were sat pretty fast. Waiter was slightly inattentive but she was very nice. The food came out at a good speed especially considering they were busy for father's day. I ordered the breakfast burrito without the chili sauce, my friend ordered the eggs benedict. Disappointing experience in every way. The food itself was frankly gross and inedible. Think raw white onions instead of cook as advertised, eggs cooked 4x as long as they needed to be scrambled. Hospital cafeterias have much better food for much cheaper. I'm also really concerned about how this business markets itself as having a gluten free menu. I asked the waitress and she was clearly untrained about food allergies or cross contamination. She said the gluten free menu was safe for people with Celiac disease "because it only has a little bit of gluten." This is obviously not true. If you do not take steps to minimize risk and cross contamination, you have no business being a restaurant. Yes, their menu has a disclaimer that they're not a certified gf kitchen, but it is one thing to know that a mistake might happen but that the staff is trained and taking proper precautions, and another to purposefully be serving items with gluten and stating they're gf. We also waited at our table for 30 minutes before our waitress arrived to even take a drink order-- and this is after we went to the hostess stand after 15 mins to let them know. Went on a Saturday morning around 8:30 and it wasn't busy, we were seated right away. I ordered the Wanderer skillet and enjoyed it! The potatoes had a nice crusty crunch to them and the combo of ingredients in this dish came together well. My husband ordered the lumberjack and said he enjoyed it. The potatoes in his serving were cooked differently than the skillet but he said they were seasoned and cooked well. The staff were very friendly and informative when asked questions and recommendations and the owner also came around to all the tables just to say hi and see how everything was. read more

These reviews are a little dramatic. This is a new restaurant that blew up quickly, and they should be shown some grace. Food is great! Lots of things on the menu, and it tastes good. Biscuits and gravy are very good and it's lots of food. Benedict is good. I am excited to try the lunch. It is cute inside and they are very accommodating to bigger parties. Our first time trying it out, and we will definitely be back. They have only been open for seven weeks, but they did a great job. The service was great. The food was great. We enjoyed the special touches, the water on the table with lemon, and the specialty coffees they offer. Been here several times before the most recent incident. The waitress had been set home in the middle of my expierence. I approached her unbeknownst to me, that she would be extremely irate. I asked for straws and honey she replied with "No, they're F******ing sending me home" infront of a restaurant full of customers. Embarrassing. Manager discounted the service. The bacon was pretty tasty but I wasn't happy with the other items. The hash browns looked amazing but they had a chemical taste so they were inedible. My experience was definitely a mixed bag. I'll start with a huge plus - the atmosphere. The restaurant was immaculate, and I especially appreciated the clean restroom. I'll excuse the slow speed of service due to it being Easter Sunday. When I did finally receive my order, the biscuits & gravy tasted nice but were not warm. The Baja Benedict looked nothing like the same item that the table behind me ordered. It looked as if it were clumsily and hurriedly thrown onto the plate just to get it out. It was not appetizing to look at. They even forgot the paprika, which I had to ask for. The potatoes that came with it were cold and hard. I believe they were cooked in advance and were thrown onto the plate to save time. The bacon was cold and chewy. Again, I don't think it was made to order. About the service, while slow from start to finish, the nice lady that made our drinks was delightful. I did have an issue with the young lady named Taj applying lipstick behind the bar and then immediately starting to serve food without washing her hands. I also observed Taj texting on her cell phone and then immediately starting to serve food without washing her hands. Cell phones are disgusting petri dishes. Went for brunch on 18 April 2026. We were told a 15-20 minute wait, we came back to the front and then we were told another twenty minutes. I seen the two couples in front of me go in before I inquired about the wait time. I asked to speak to the person who told me the initial wait time and we were seated immediately. The waitress took our order immediately since we had time to look over the menu while we waited. As we waited for 30 minutes, we noticed that the people who were there before us still did not have their food yet. We asked how long they have been waiting and we were told 1 hour. We asked the waitress how long before our food was going to arrive, we're told soon. The table next to us got their food 15 minutes later. We assumed our was coming soon. 30 minutes later still no food. I asked the Manager what was the hold up, he said he would check on our food. I informed him if there was a problem with the order being delivered, he should have told us that when we're first sat down, or came by our table to informed us that there was a problem, and gave us the option to stay or leave. We left after one hour and 15 minutes. The Manager did not charge us for the water we drunk while waiting. His excuse was that this restaurant had just opened 6 weeks ago and getting the food out on time was a problem. read more

They have a large menu with lots of options, including an extensive kids menu and gluten free menu- the most choices I've seen in Tallahassee!
