Smoothie King makes a pretty damn good product. The smoothies are flavorful, while always maintaining a thick consistency. My go-to's lately have been the Immune Builders on the Wellness Blend portion of the menu. Especially, the Orange flavor - pineapples, bananas, mango juice, orange juice, almond milk and herbal immune enhancer. The drive-thru is...well, in a word, horrendous. The only entrance is through Conradi Street. The only exit is through the side street aligning the North End of The Luxe apartment complex. Waited in line for 45 minutes only for them to tell me that their credit machine wasn't working! I understand that it isn't their fault but the fact that they let customers wait for that long in a line without telling them is ridiculous. Smoothies to me are a special treat. Maybe it's a post workout "way to go champ" kind of reward or more of a "today hasn't really gone your way so chin up" kind of salvation. Either way, smoothies are destined for happiness unless of course they are made poorly. That is why whenever I'm in the mood for a meal in a cup I go for Smoothie King, which never seems to disappoint. My favorite feature of Smoothie King is that their entire business is dedicated to the making of and perfecting the smoothie, so money and energy isn't redirected towards other food options. This also means that they have the largest selection of smoothies compared to any other competitors I have seen. It might be easy to just throw a bunch of things in a blender and turn it on, but Smoothie King puts time into deciding on the perfect concoction like some kind of wizard smoothie chemists. I am a big fan of fitness, and Smoothie King has several protein packed options with low sugar, which is ideal for lean muscle building and weight loss. My personal favorite is The Activator. Prices can definitely be steep, but their sizes are very large and if you go on anytime on a Friday, you can get their medium for $5 savings of about $3. read more

Smoothie King has always been my favorite smoothie spot they just taste the best to me. The quality products, $5.00 Fridays and loyalty program on the mobile app always keep me coming back. I've been inside and used the drive thru at this location and it has always been fast friendly and efficient service. I get a medium 32oz and that's my meal so I don't mind paying the 6.99 after tax $7.30. My favorites: high protein pineapple, passion passport and the pineapple surf. read more

I've been here three times. Each time, I've placed the identical order, to wit: 1 (One) Acai Adventure (medium), and 1 (One) Caribbean Way (medium). I'm sure there are other great options, but these two are really good, so I'm not quite ready to migrate towards the others just yet. (I always went with the Acai Adventure, and my oldest daughter went with the Caribbean Way. These two smoothies get you close to 16 bucks. That's real money for a smoothie. They are pricier than other local options. Nonetheless, they ARE good. Good enough to pass Tropical Smoothie on the way to getting one. (I still like Tropical Smoothie - that wasn't a slight. if anything, it was a commendation on Tropical Smoothie for being reasonably priced for their quality product). A specific staff member who was working the drive-through at 3:50 pm today, needs to improve on their professionalism and customer service. Yelling at your customer twice is extremely unprofessional. Using the excuse of having difficulties with your headset is unjustifiable. Patience and taking ownership of your actions is what you should have done. Projecting your frustration on a customer is uncalled for. If you are not willing to behave appropriately to your customers the way you behave towards your family members, please reconsider finding a profession where your hostility is warranted. read more

I love this Smoothie King! I live in the surrounding area so I frequent it quite often. For them to usually have a crowd when I go, the wait is never excessive! They truly work efficiently with only 3 to 4 people working at a time. The employees are super friendly and give great recommendations! I've been a fan of Tropical Smoothie for years, not anymore. I now drive past 2 of them just to go to the only Smoothie King on the opposite side of town. The only thing that I dislike is the dysfunctional drive thru arrangement that backs people up into traffic at busy times. read more

My favorite part about smoothies is there quick and easy. I make it a ritual to go to Smoothie King every Friday because you can't beat the $5 deal on any 32oz smoothie. I usually go through the drive thru and it's made and sever within a few minutes, which is a huge plus if you are in a big hurry to get to work, class, or wherever you need to be. They have a variety of flavored for each individual pallet so don't stress over not finding anything. Try it out for yourself on Friday and you will want to go back over and over again! Today the store smelled like sour milk and garbage. I wanted the smoothie but the smell made my stomach turn.

I didn't jump on the smoothie train when it first rolled into town because I associated them with dessert. I only knew the tropical variety (which are tasty but mostly high in sugar & not particularly healthy or filling). Then a friend started swearing by smoothies that he made at home. He bragged to me that he was into "fast" and healthy, so he'd discovered a great way to get all of his veggies, protein, fruits, or any combination thereof--and making it portable. He lost weight, his skin started looking great, & he was eating on the go. One day, he insisted that I taste one of his smoothies and I couldn't believe it! It was wonderful. The problem, however, is that it takes money & time to eat healthy--and even more to create this special healthy, work-intensive portable meal/snack. Not everyone has to time to prep fruits & veggies or the right equipment to make a great smoothie. Sure, there's really cheap fast food out there & snacks in wrappers on every block to temporarily satisfy us when we're in a pinch; but how do you put a price tag on feeling good, being healthy & energetic, or liking the way you look? Months later...in walked Smoothie King! It's not in my neighborhood, but I happily drive to it a few times a week for my lunch or snack. Smoothie King is clean; employees are friendly; the menu is huge & gives all nutritional values; it has a health store inside selling great vitamins, supplements, healthy snacks, and other related items; there's neat indoor or outdoor seating; and there are great seasonal specials throughout the year. There's a loyalty club and an app. Finally, a place to bring the kids for healthy, filling food that isn't filling them with sugar but IS giving them great nutrition! Of note: One of the employees told me that she was overweight when she began college & that she started having the "skinny" variety of SK smoothies for dinner every night and lost serious weight in a few short months. She said she was never hungry and enjoyed the ease of it. Some people who find themselves in her boat might appreciate this feature of the low-carb/low-sugar smoothies. But compared to similar places in town, it's got a lot going for it, so I'm giving it 4 stars. - Super fast drive thru. I stop here once or twice a week on the way to work and even with a few cars ahead of me, the total wait is never more than 4 or 5 minutes. If it's just me in line, I am usually in and out in 2 minutes. - Good variety of ingredients and combinations, including vegan options. The Greek Yogurt blends are nice and tart. Favorites: Vegan Mango Kale, Green Tea Tango (Matcha Green Tea, Choice of One Fruit, Vanilla Frozen Yogurt, Vanilla Protein Blend, Turbinado, Soy Protein ) and Island Impact (Pineapple, Mango Sorbet, Mango Juice Blend, Papaya Juice Blend, Vanilla Protein Blend ) You can ask to make it "skinny" which means not adding any turbinado (sugar). The outside of the venue gets 3stars it won't push you away but won't draw you in either. The inside looks like a pharmacy 5stars. Service can be a little difficult; Don't whipe your face w/your glove or cough in your hand and try to serve me SWITCH YOUR GLOVES PLEASE. This is the first smoothie king I ever went to and it was phenomenal just like the service. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I had the Caribbean Way which is the only one I will ever get until I find the courage to try another one. I was there with my two sisters, mom and brother. My mom loved the vegan mango kale. One of my little sisters loved the choc-a-laka and she loved it . My other little sister got a passion passport and loved it. My brother got a Caribbean way and loved it how ever that wasn't his fist time there so he already knew what he wanted. They weren't very crowded only four people behind the counter to get the smoothies flowing faster. Anyways it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to all new comers. read more
