Classy, historical 5 Star hotel that doubles as an art museum. Just concluded a wonderful stay in Nice while the nearby Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix week were underway. Arrived at the hotel and was treated like a King. As a member of Leading Hotels of the World there was a welcome letter, complimentary toiletries gift set from Lalique, and I received a complimentary 60 minute massage at Le Spa as part of my package. The ascent to my room was epic, starting off with the velvet red elevator with automatic opening doors. As I got off the elevator I was greeted with an assortment of art (which is present on all floors and the common areas). I received an upgrade to a garden room overlooking the Musee Massena and a partial sea view which was magnificent (room 404). The room was well appointed with a super comfortable bed and came equipped with electric blinds that allowed me to sleep after sunrise. Chocolates were left bedside each evening of the stay. Each morning I was offered the breakfast buffet as well as a menu from which I could order specialty items off of such as pancakes and an egg white omelette. Service and food was great. The evenings offered live entertainment in the 1913 and Versailles bars with an outdoor smoking seating option for cigar aficionados. All the staff, particularly the Concierge team, were extremely helpful and made restaurant reservations for me upon request. The hotel also offers a beach club, which I did not take advantage of. The location was great, just 15-20 minutes from the airport, right across the street from Promenade Anglais, a 15-20 minute walk to the Nice-Ville train station, and about 15-20 minute walk to Old Town. I would certainly consider staying here again.

bacterial infection on leg from hammam/steam shower

I'm really sad to write this review as my stay at Le Negresco early January 2026 was lovely and I was looking forward to repeat visits (great staff/service, big, beautiful room with comfy bed, breakfast nice with lots of options although the food wasn't amazing)....BUT, I spent several hours in the wet spa and came home with a horrendous bacterial infection (I suspect the hammam/steam room was the culprit as there is absolutely NO other possible cause (especially since I shaved my legs the day before my trip)). This infection spread across both legs and was horrible - super painful and itchy and required multiple doctor visits and intense antibiotics (with bad side effects) to treat. It's a month later and the skin on my legs is still discolored. I'm leaving such a bad review because when I raised the issue with their management, my concern was basically dismissed with an arrogant and negative tone. I will never again frequent this establishment and I highly encourage you to avoid it. They preach the importance of customer experience but completely lack the trust and goodwill required to win customer loyalty. Yet another company who's supposed values amount to just words on a website. I would never in a million years expect a 5* hotel to be so lacking in their attention to hygiene, nor would I expect to be treated or spoken to in such a crappy manner. STAY AWAY!

Outstanding architectural wonder dating from 1913, a joyous mixture of eras and styles! A real treat for all senses, including drinks and snacks in one of the two bars. No time for dinner, but I encourage you to visit this special place in history! Take your time . .

Such a fantastic experience all around. The surroundings were great, service was attentive, and food was so fresh and bursting with flavor. Although we opted for lighter dishes for dinner, our choices did not disappoint. Natalia was a great waitress and was so accommodating. Highly recommend this spot for a special meal accompanied with yummy drinks and a romantic vibe! Don't miss out on the green beans & the signature white chocolate dessert!

If you're looking for a nice beach club in Nice you'll have to check out Negresco beach club. We were able to secure beds in the front row making it convenient to get in and out of the water. The cocktails were alright - for the price we paid I was expecting my glass to be more full then it was for the mango colada drink. The beer was nice and refreshing. The food here is great! Overall we had a great time here and it was the best way to end our trip in Nice!

Quite possibly the most expensive drink we got during our whole stay, but it was well worth it. We had a lovely last group meal as someone in our party was leaving the following morning to go back home to LA. We still had an additional night in Nice before continuing on to Italy. We ended up walking here after having dinner at the other side of town. First of all, this whole hotel looks majestic from afar. It probably took us a solid 20 mins to get there and for a good portion of it we saw the building from afar at different angles. It looked just as majestic during the day, but more dreamy at night. We were greeted by a nice gentleman out front who led us inside. Someone else seated us. Thank god we dressed up for dinner because it's fancy as hell inside here. We ended up taking a tour of the premises between sips. Make sure you use the WC facilities. Our drinks were easy on the eyes. They certainly pay attention to details. My gold drink was decadent. Every single person working was not only professional, but super personable. We were well taken care of. I'd make it a point to drop in here the next time I'm in town.

The Eiffel Tour of Nice! Can you see that azure blue in the photo? Multiply it by 100 and that's what it really looks like. Such a dramatic hotel. The ART WORK rivals any museum. And you live among it. Unique doesn't begin to describe its majesty. Add the luxurious rooms and 5 star dining and service to the mix and this hotel is an absolute must for the discerning traveler. Plan on a beach day as well!

The drinks are great! We went to the bar area and had some snacks while waiting for their music to start. Everything tasted great. However, I went to the bathroom, and while walking there an employee stopped me and told me the hotel was for guests only. If they don't want people to walk through their lobby, there should be a bathroom closer to the bar/restaurant. Overall, I recommend going if you want to pay double price to sit in a famous hotel.

This hotel is amazing. Built in the early 1900's & very elegant. Service is top notch and the staff uniforms add an extra layer of class. Location can't be beat. Ocean front and in the center of town. If you can afford it, you should stay here!

This hotel is in Nice, France has a Restaurant and a beach spot associated with this Hotel Le Negresco it was absolutely amazing. I simply cannot express how much we all needed a day to just chill at the beach. After we had already spent a week in Belgium and a day in Monaco we were already exhausted. So luckily when someone asked does anyone want to go to the beach??? we leaped at the chance to relax on the beach oh yasssss beach please!!!! This beach spot belongs to the hotel that is just behind and across from the street is Hotel Le Negresco a beautiful old hotel and crazy expensive $$$$$1400 per night. The views are gorgeous the beach is beautiful and the best of all is we got full on restaurant on the beach, the servers brought us menus so we ordered French Champagne Moet Chandon Ice Imperial, my favorite of all French Champagnes OMG lucky meeeee lol Because we had access to this amazing and beautiful restaurant we could either eat at the open air restaurant where they had tables with umbrellas or we could order food from the restaurant and they will bring it to you on the beach so you can enjoy your food and the gorgeous views ah excellent! So we had a beautiful salad with chicken and frites with mayonnaise as the French do lol And of course we greatly enjoyed our delicious lunch and French Champagne while loving that spectacular view. They have big white chaise lounges and they give you towels and each with your own umbrellas, that these darling boys would adjust for us as the sun moved, I love love loved it all. La Plage the Restaurant was delicious and for me it was Champagne bliss! This is not free obviously you're paying for the food and bubbly considering it came to a little over $350 per couple for Lunch and a bottle of French Champagne and personal servers so we were there the entire day around 5 hours of heaven on a beach in Nice France. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, I very highly highly recommend this place and you will not be disappointed I can assure you! À votre santé means to your health in français. Cheers ALL see you on Yelp Review 315 -06/01/23

As a loyal and repeat client, I was treated to the junior suite la parisienne. The decoration was on the theme of coco chanel. It has been renovated with exquisite taste and with a touch of luxury without being ostentatious. The double sink bathroom was tastefully decorated and very spacious. There was a good Malongo coffee machine and the rest of the room equally comfortable and classy. Needless to say, the view of the Mediterranean was stunning. The room service was pristine ! For me, the best hotel in Nice by far ! I would stay there again in a heartbeat specially for the service , the room and the location!!

What a place. It's like staying in a super luxe museum. The service, the room, the food and all of the other amenities the Le Negresco has to offer is just so sumptuous. Our king size bed was just so divine. The linens were extra smooth and super soft to lull you to the deepest slumber. And the robes and slippers that were provided were extra soft and toasty. And most importantly the location cant be beat. It's smack down in the middle of everything that Nice has to offer. The private beach was just across the hotel. If I had tons and tons of money I could easily live here year round. The hotel itself should be a destination. There was one day in our almost weeklong stay where we could really not venture outside to explore since the weather was just downright nasty. So hubby and I explored the hotel from top to bottom. The collection of artwork here is just incredible. Although, it is very eclectic, there is a theme to every floor or so. As an example, the 2nd floor we thought was modern art but it was so much more. the landing had modern art pieces, but half the floor had African themed pieces while the other half of the floor included drawings of dresses and such from some of the major French fashion places. If you are ever in Nice, make sure to book your stay at Le Negresco.

Speaking of staff, the employees were all so friendly and more importantly, accommodating. Our flight from Rome to Nice got cancelled and we were worried about paying for a night when we weren't there on top of cancelation fees. We called the hotel and they changed our booking from 2 nights to one night and waived the cancellation fee. Who does that??? Staff answered all of our questions and reassured us every step of the way. The customer service is superb, I don't even know why French people have a reputation for being rude. It's totally not the case, at least with the staff here. The breakfast was amaze balls. I wish I had photos of the food but I was busy eating it all up. The fruit was fresh and not canned. The croissants were freshly baked. It was flaky and buttery heaven! The baguettes came out piping hot and you can cut it yourself on a board. The coffee machine made like 8 kinds of espresso, cappuccino, and lattes. I had the white cappuccino and it was foamy, milky, and strong. Much better quality than Starbucks. The experience made me feel like I was staying at a five star hotel. I wish our flight wasn't canceled so we could have enjoyed our stay longer. When traveling to Nice, make sure to book this Best Western. It was about 60 euros a night in November!! What a deal!

The hike up the hill with luggage can be a challenge, even if you're in decent shape. Service at the hotel is 4.5 stars. Phillippe is awesome and has great recommendations for dinner. He's friendly and welcoming. I would give him 5 stars. I would've rated the hotel higher, but it is a bit of a trek to the touristy spots. In addition, the walls are thin, so you can hear everything that goes on in the room next door. Our neighbors were definitely having a lot of "fun" on our last night. Even though I knocked on their wall several times, I wasn't able to stop their late night fun. We thought our room included the breakfast buffet, unfortunately it didn't and we had a 16 euro/pp/day charge. It wasn't that we minded the charge, but the food was definitely not worth the 16 euro/day. There weren't that many choices at breakfast. The hotel provides free wifi access, although it is spotty. It is also limited to two sign-ons per room. If you have a lot of wifi devices, you'll find yourself trying to figure out which device you want to connect to the wifi. There are some other creative ways you can get online, but I'm sure other yelp reviewers are smart enough to figure it out. :) If I visited Nice again, I would probably pay the extra $ and stay at the Hotel Negresco. I do recommend this hotel if you have a rental car. Nice is car friendly and this particular hotel is located in a residential area, so there is plenty of free street parking.
