My husband and I stayed at Hotel Palais Saleya during our honeymoon in the South of France. It's a cute and quaint little hotel located in the heart of Old Nice. I love that it's located next to many little streets with a variety of shops, bakeries, and restaurants. When exploring the surrounding streets of this hotel, I was able to get truffles/truffle oil, French soap, French baguettes, and French pastries. It's also just a quick 5 minute walk to the water. It's also a quick 20-25 minute walk to the train station in case you want to travel to Monte Carlo.
Now onto the hotel itself. The staff is friendly and speak English well. The room itself that we stayed in was a two-story suite. On the first floor was the bed, bathroom, a small kitchenette with dining table, and washer/dryer. The top floor was a second bed. The only negatives I can think of was there were quite a few small mosquito-looking bugs flying around in our room and the dryer does not work very well. We ended up having to hang dry our laundry because our clothes came out hot but damp still. I would say that the positives outweigh the negatives. Spacious suite, affordable, included useful amenities, and amazing location. read more
