Very nice hotel with wonderful staff. We had our 14mo old with us and the hotel was very accommodating. Excellent location within walking distance to anywhere you'd want to go in town. Loved the spa and pool with the little one. The restaurant had great drinks and we shared the bruschetta which was amazing! Try the mojito - being pregnant I had a virgin one and it was amazing!

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The lobby was beautiful but the tables were never cleaned off, empty and half full glasses were left sitting on them all day. The room was set up so that if you answer the door the person can see directly into the shower(no curtain or anything), the shower leaked everywhere, there was black mold growing on the shower tiles and the towels had large brown stains on them. I told the hotel staff at the reception desk about the issues with the leaking, mold, and stained towels and was brushed off twice. After I checked out they emailed to offer me an upgrade on a future stay - I will not be back. Avoid this hotel!

Exceptionally hotel very comfortable and the staff is very welcome mean, helpful and knowledgeable about things to do where to eat. Turndown service with the chocolate is the finishing touch after a long day to come back to your room and see that maid service has tidied up restocked and left a chocolate is wonderful. Breakfast is delicious you're within walking distance if you don't want to eat at the restaurant you can play pool or go to the spa or sit and have cocktails in a relaxed environment. While I was there there's quite a bit of construction going on but they put us on the backside of the hotel so we wouldn't hear the noise which was terrific. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Boscolo. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It rained during our visit so we did not get to enjoy the rooftop pool and restaurant. However, we did use the indoor pool located downstairs in the spa. The daily champagne breakfast buffet was delicious, offering everything we could possibly think of. The servers, front desk staff and room attendants were all very friendly and helpful. Our family shot a few games of pool each day just for fun. The stunning, red and white pool table is located near the lobby, across from a white grand piano. We listened to many talented guests sing and play the piano as we played pool. We also met other guests who were return visitors to the hotel. Boscolo exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend it for your stay in Nice. read more

Shocking experience. They added over €200 additional random expenses to our bill, and when we asked what they were for they had no idea; there were no signed dockets or evidence, they had just added these expenses and hoped we wouldn't notice. The staff didn't seem surprised at all, as if this was standard practice. We emailed them a few days later to query more expenses (because our bill wasn't adding up) they replied after 5 days to say they would reply soon but since then they've ghosted us and it's been 9 days, and we've been following up. Super unprofessional. The rooms are so so. We splurged for a nice room, but still it was nothing special. And each morning we were greeted by the most horrendous stench from the toilet. I've lived in old towns before so I know how the plumbing can be, but this was on a whole new level. I thought something had died in the toilet. It was extreme. So not exactly a luxury experience. We also found many of the staff to be very rude, and they were rough with our luggage (thought they were going to break the wheels off). Good location, but I don't recommend anyone to stay at Boscolo. read more

Beautiful property in Nice! Old world exterior with a very updated and modern interior. Downside is all the construction as it kind of ruined the ambiance. As it's in a very touristy area be prepared to be charged $$$$ for wine/cocktails/restaurants. Be sure to venture out beyond the "square" and visit all the shops and restaurants in the actual city itself. read more

Ask for Mariana when visiting the pool. Her service was top notch and really made our stay at Boscolo even more amazing! Will definitely be returning! read more
This hotel is amazing! Everything is clean, white and modern. I was on my honeymoon, so the glass shower in the middle of the room worked well for us ;-) The real treat in this hotel is the spa. They have an amazing indoor pool with a very romantic ambience. I would come here again. read more

The hotel is beautiful; lobby and rooms are nicely decorated and maintained. Aesthetically definitely a luxury hotel, but service-wise just okay. I had a 6 night stay and had trouble with my keycards. When I checked in the keys didnt work; I went back to the lobby to get them re-coded. 3 days later the keys stopped working again, and again got them re-coded (receptionist said the date was coded incorrectly so they were expired). The final night keys stopped working again (receptionist said they didnt code the right date, again) Regarding the lobby bar, on a Friday night the bar closed oddly early (maybe 10 or 10:30pm). The bartender turned off the music and lights said politely said bye to all the guests in the bar area. We sat there for another 30 minutes to finish our snacks and drinks (during that time a couple of other guests came in thinking the bar would be open). Just a bit odd. Interaction with a particular doorman/bell-hop was offputting; when I was waiting in line to check out he approached us and asked if we wanted to check our bags. I was in the middle of getting things out of my bags so i said no. A couple minutes later when we completed check out, I went to check my bags and he said "I just asked if you wanted your bags checked and you said no" with a snarky attitude Individually none of these are big deals, but collectively throughout my stay it was a sub-luxury experience. read more

Perfectly good hotel. As the person below mentioned, there is a subway construction out in front, however you can't hear any noise from it inside any area of the hotel. My wife and I were very well taken care of, service was great, at the same time, who comes to Nice to hang out at the hotel? read more

Ah the ol' classic bait and Switch. We booked our rooms for six people on booking.com. We get their and they say oops only one room fits three. The other only fits two. So sadly it's illegal for us to stay in that room. Oh but LUCKILY I can pay 350 euros more for an "upgrade" to a suite! Fine we were in no position to keep switching hotels so we paid it. We then decided we wanted to extend our stay another night because we liked the city. They said yes not a problem for both rooms. Even called back our room to confirm. AND HERE COMES THAT GOOD OL BAIT AND SWITCH AGAIN. Or is it just a flat out lie Now? They called us again just before bedtime to say never mind, you're gonna have to upgrade both rooms to suites if you want to stay bc somehow the other room got "sold out".... Heck no. I searched and booked a nearby hotel right there and then. Using their wifi. Take that! Here comes the BEST part. So in the middle of the night the suite we got started smelling like something died. It was like satan decided to emerge from all the drainage points with a vengeance. We complained. All they did was say "oh really well send a technician" ... Did they ever you ask? Of course not lol. Oh and then to add insult to the injury, when we checked in, we were informed in person and then confirmed over the phone that we would receive complimentary breakfast with our stay. Morning of.... Somehow YET AGAIN, this was not the case. No included breakfast for us. Could they make things worse?? I mean especially after I complained about the VILE stench in the room?! You'd think the LEAST they could do was throw in some cheap breakfast. Not like I was looking for a refund or anything my goodness. We just checked out as early as possible and got the eff out there. BEWARE GUYS-- this place is gorgeous on the outside but once you get inside-- disgusting. Rooms are filthy, shower grout is disgusting, weird stains on the walls. In need of a serious overhaul. NEEDS SERIOUS RETRAINING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. they have no idea what hospitality means. Do not stay here. You will be disappointed. We ended up booking at the mercure just down the street. Not a fancy hotel like this one claims to be, but service there was EXCEPTIONAL. I would go there any day and pay the same price just to avoid being treated like I'm unwelcome. Shame on you boscolo. You've just lost yourself a would be regular. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more
Beautifully restored old building in the heart of Nice! The rooms are nice sized for a French hotel. Huge king size bed and flat screen TV. Professional and polite service and delicious and generous breakfast buffet. The theme of the hotel is white, as in white exterior, white marble floors and white walls. Even the flat screen TVs are white! My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. read more
Should you decide to spend the week on the French Riviera, this 5 star hotel lives up to its billing. Rooms are large and amenities include 2 restaurants, 1 bar, free breakfast, extremely well-appointed workout facility, full spa, sauna, pool, business center and a really cool pool table off the main lobby. Service was excellent and the location is just a couple of blocks off the rail providing easy access to the city. From this hotel to the waterfront is a 7-8 minute walk or a 4-5 minute jog. The lobby greets you with stunning white marble and the rooms are up to date. Internet service was by wire only, except in the lobby and outside the bar where wifi was available. Great place to stay and it seemed reasonably priced given the opulence. read more

This hotel does not disclose openly the subway construction in front of the property. They give you ear plugs as the solution to the pounding going on daily. It is messy, dirty, construction debris as you walk to the main boulevard. It is just ok but we will never return. We find Nice not so nice and one big tourist trap. Beaches are rocks and difficult to walk to the shore line. You may want to try other coasts but if I were you, check it out using Google Maps and you will see the ground level view certainly shows what is going on. We found Restaurants in the main area offering tourist trap food and prices that are not value added. read more

The worst hotel w/ the worst customer service in the world. Booked 4 nights prepaid in October 2018 for a June 2019 stay as part of my honeymoon. Nowhere on the website does it say major construction ongoing outside of the hotel. Arrived to find my expensive room right outside construction which begins at 6:30 am and doesn't end until 12:00 am. Manager will not refund me, and lied about the extent and duration of construction (which has been ongoing for 4 years apparently). Do not waste your $ on this hellhole. read more

Edit: ***After my initial review we were given a DISCOUNTED RATE (still having to pay more) but then WAS ASKED TO REMOVE MY BAD REVIEW. This along with our room keys never seemed to work amongst other things brings me to give the lowest rating possible. For an establishment to INFLUENCE its own reviews is SHADY. Unfortunately for them I don't believe in such a practice. You want good reviews then EARN them. Any "high reviews" this hotel or even their entire company has received I'd take with a grain of salt. My family will NEVER bother with ANY of their locations in the future.*** Upon arrival we had an issue with checking-in. Zoltan, who was helping us told us there was a problem with our reservation. Basically our reservation of 2 adults and 1 child had only showed up as 2 guests only and we had the only option of taking a suite practically twice our original rate. After making it obvious that we didn't want to do that he told us to find our confirmation from Expedia regarding our booking. We were already very tired, extremely irritated, and hungry (around 11:00PM coming straight from the airport) but went ahead to comply with finding our confirmation info. After some great difficulty (Wi-Fi speed extremely slow) we were able to finally get the booking confirmation info after 30 mins and went back to Zoltan. After showing him that our confirmation was correct and he was obviously in the wrong he just said that the only option was still to take the suite that was again almost DOUBLE the original rate and we would just have to deal with Expedia on our own. Looking at my young tired child and my wife almost about to cry, it took a lot for me to hold back to jump over the counter and just going ape. Instead I asked for the manager and he replied with an arrogant smirk "that would be me." -Rude -Uncompromising -NOT ONCE OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE other than "pay more or GTFO" I asked for the names of his supervisor and just paid for the suite. Zoltan - this so called "manager" gets a -5 rating that works in hospitality and should look for another job probably as a practice dummy for a proctologist (hell, he might be happier and find it even more "fulfilling". ONLY reason I have a 2 rating is because the room or "suite" as they call it is meh at best compared to all the other places we have been to - but Lorenzo, who was helping us to room, is a 5, a gem, a gold star. I'd expect someone of his calibre to be the manager of such an establishment. TLDR: (-5/5) A-HOLE LITTLE RUNT MANAGER, (2/5) EXPENSIVE MEH ROOM, (5/5) COMPLETELY AWESOME HELP read more
What a fabulous place to relax, unwind and rejuvenate after a day of touring And shopping in Nice. A definite thumbs up to Ariana at the front desk who is the definition of fine, upscale hospitality with a extra dash of class. An exceptional hotel with exceptional service. Should be rated much more than 5 stars. Our room was very large, with a gorgeous bath. The lobby area is a showplace, as is the bar. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and provide exceptional service. The hotel is pricey, but worth every euro. However, one gentleman went far beyond expectations to help us: Louis. Due to construction on the street in front of the hotel, the road leading directly to the hotel was blocked. Louis came out to our car and came with us to find an alternate path to the hotel. Due to our frustrating arrival experience, he took care of parking our car AT NO CHARGE, + helped unload our luggage. Bravo, Louis. The fitness center at the hotel is very well equipped AND had an indoor pool. Even the elevators are unusual, large with an armchair in each elevator. Ou breakfast was equally terrific. A buffet with lots of choices of fruit, bread, meats, smoked salmon, eggs, salad, juices, hot drinks, etc. Quite the place! read more
The hotel is beautiful, but the staff could definitely use some customer service classes. The hotel is nice in appearance in which everything is white. Pearly white!!! Rooms are nice but awkward if you are sharing a room with a friend. The shower is an all glass contraption that's right in the middle of the room for anyone in the room to see. There's a pool table in the lobby area with the worst sticks that i've seen in my life. None of them have any tips on them. The reason why I am giving them such a bad review is based on the fact that the shower in one of our rooms didn't work and was basically dripping. The person at the front desk didn't believe my friend and so came up to the room. He insisted that it was not being used correctly by my friend until he realized that yes it was broken. He offered for my friend to use the shower in an empty room but that my friend couldn't stay in the alternate room that night. Does that make sense? I would think that they would just let my friend move over to the room that works. When we complained in the morning at check out, the gentleman at the front desk said that he couldn't do anything and that his manager was not there. I asked him when the manager would be returning and he said that he won't come back for some time since they have 3 hotels in the area and he's the only manager on duty at 1pm on a Friday. I asked for them to take my phone number and if the manager could call us, and he said no that is not necessary as he would let the manager know what happened. Don't know what else to say about this hotel, but I definitely will not be back. read more

Very nice hotel that does not exactly meet the five star billing. The entire interior including the rooms are white and I do mean a very bright white. It is a bit discerning. Service is good but not perfect, the accommodations are nice but already showing some wear and tear although the hotel was recently renovated. The location is great since it is central to everything in Nice. As long as you handle the "not exactly a five star" hotel without too much disappointment this is a good options when staying in Nice. read more

How is this a 5 star hotel?!? The pictures looked really nice online but don't be fooled....It's tacky! One night we came back and had to move rooms because there was a rotten egg smell coming out of the sink! This hotel is overall average. If you want luxury, look elsewhere. read more

Thought this was a five-star quality hotel, but after staying with them for three nights, I am not sure if it should be categorized into the five-star level. I didn't have many choices when I made my hotel. Since my decision on having a trip to Nice was made only three days before my departure, I didn't have many choices on my reservation. Boscolo Exetra was the only 'five-star' one left at that time and I was fooled by their beautiful pictures shown online. This is an all white hotel located on Rue Victor Hugo. The location is convenient. It is few streets away from the central shopping areas and only takes a 10-min walk to Vieux Ville. The room is quite spacious and well organized, but I found the all-white features annoying after awhile, making me feel like being in a hospital room. Overall, I am quite disappointed and won't stay here again. So, if you are looking for a boutique hotel with exceptional service, this may not be the best choice. read more

beautiful hotel...bell men, waitresses, bartender, are all fantastic, but the front desk staff and manager are horrible. Arrived after a 7.5 hour flight and they knew that we were getting in at 11am. Of course rooms were not ready which is understandable, but you would think they would prioritize cleaning a room when people are waiting...not happening. Went to lunch and came back over 2.5 hours later and rooms still not done. Then we watched as they checked other guests (so far 4 and counting) in and escorted them to their rooms immediately. My colleague has been checked into his room while I am still waiting in lobby. .The excuses started flying. My favorite was we clean by class of room and we have to clean rooms of people who are already staying here. The manager and staff have clearly failed hospitality 101. Now let me add the kicker...I have stayed in the hotel 4 or 5 times over the past year. Always minor issues that I have chosen to ignore...no more! I will not stay here again and direct everyone who works with our group not to as well. If the manager doesn't care then they don't deserve our business either. read more

I have spent a few nights at the hotel while on a business trip. Overall, a pretty good value for the money (booked the discount rate through Priceline). The location is somewhat away (a 10-minute walk) from the center of action (a plus for business travelers), but close to the transportation and non-boutique shopping. A truly excellent restaurant Viviers is just around the corner. Breakfast inside the hotel is pretty good. The outside dining recommendations by the staff were dicey: one hit, one OK, one real miss. Mentally take the five star rating down one notch in exchange for a way lower room rate, and enjoy the experience of viewing your significant other inside a glass shower cabin in the center of the room. read more

This hotel promotes itself as a 5-star hotel. It is not. I booked the Presidential Suite for the end of my honeymoon. On day 2, my wife and I noticed a vile smell from the master bathroom. All they did was spray air freshener. When it was pointed out on the next day, the sprayed more. I was specifically told that there was a huge problem with the room and that it would be CLOSED after my departure because it wasn't -- and I quote -- not suitable for guests. My final 2 days, the room or "suite" and that's in quotes because I'm being sarcastic -- was so disgusting we spent as little time there as possible. Hotel management took every opportunity to blame me for not telling them about the noxious smell. The night desk doesn't talk to the day desk, apparently. The front desk also ruined a dress with their dry-cleaner. They tried to blame their 3rd party provider. If you want a 5star experience in Nice, don't go to this hotel! You're better off sleeping on the beach. The service was so bad, it made me think I shouldn't visit Nice, France again. But that's not fair to the people of Nice. Avoid this hotel like a plague. No one contacted me after I expressed my disappointment. At the very least, they should've contacted me. I got nothing. And that's what you're going to get from the hotel. Nothing. Spend your money literally anywhere else. read more

Watch Out for Unbelievable Inflexibility and Terrible Customer I had a terrible experience with Priceline while booking a hotel stay. A minor change in our reservation dates ended up costing us a staggering $3800 plus a hefty penalty. Despite Priceline's partnership with the Boscolo Hotel in Nice, they showed zero flexibility. The inflexibility and customer service for returning customers at Boscolo Hotel are astounding. After spending countless hours on the phone trying to explain that we weren't canceling our reservation but simply shifting the dates to stay for more days at the hotel, Priceline insisted on a penalty fee for changing dates with no guarantee of reimbursement from the hotel. We were essentially forced to pay an extra $3800 plus a $500 penalty, with no assurance of getting any money back. Given that Priceline and the Boscolo Hotel have a business relationship, one would expect a bit of leniency or at least some reasonable options. Instead, we were met with rigid policies and unhelpful customer service. This is not a way to encourage future bookings with this hotel or through Priceline. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, and I strongly advise against using Priceline, especially if you're considering booking at the Boscolo Hotel in Nice read more
