I was hesitant to come here based off the reviews however this place is waaaaay better than the other nail salons in the area. They are following CDC guidelines by making you write your name & phone number in a sign-in sheet outside by the entrance, you can either wait outside or in your car (they will call you when you're next) and they will take your temperature before entering. I did a mani/pedi with nail tech Elly which she was super sweet, friendly and did an amazing job. The total was $35. Definitely recommend going here! Made an appointment but was waiting 45 minutes. They removed my acrylics and told me about all these extra charges like $8 mandatory for a nail file and nail brush. They charge additional for literally everything and they refuse to put gel polish on acrylics inexplicably. Instead they make you pay $20 extra for gel powder. They charge $10 extra for 'shaping" the nails too. When they removed my acrylics they were literally RIPPING them off and when I told them it hurt they told me to step aside and then they just started doing someone else's nails. The price list said $16 dollars for a service. When I sat down, they informed me there was a 3 dollar charge for a safety package which included a nail file and a brush. I asked the attendant to please make my nails a bit shorter and he told me that it would be $5 dollars extra. i chose a nail color, he switched it and they charged me $41 dollars. They were incredibly rude from the start. At the end, they mentioned they do not take any type of card. Most probably to not pay taxes. The staff is also friendlier and I guess it may be just my luck but it doesn't get as packed as before which is convenient. I go during the week so that's probably why. Okay, so I decided to come here because my friend was getting her nails done at this salon and I wanted to meet her. The staff wasn't nice. I don't even know the name of the guy that did my nails. They shouldn't put to work people with no experience. The guy wasn't mean or anything he just did a very bad job. He would put products in one hand and then not in the other one. He would massage one leg and then forget about the other one. I complained that one of my nails had a bump and he just buffed it out and painted over it. He painted my skin! I chose a light blue color and it's practically see through. When I asked him if he could cut my nails a little bit more he didn't like it. And then to pay $50 for this is really not worth it. It's $25 gel mani and $20 regular pedi but on top of that you have to tip. It's cash only so be ready for that. Also he was very rough. Don't come here. Read the reviews first. The only nail tech that does an excellent job there is Whitney and she is very courteous. I agree with all the comments about the lady and male owners being extremely rude. I got itchy skin after a pedicure and had to get athletes foot medication, something I have never had. The place is not sanitary, the state department should check them for improper sanitizing procedures. Went about a week ago for the first time and they had a lady about 80 years old do my refill. Not only did she mess up the shape I had but she did a horrible job painting them. It honestly looks like a 3 year old did it. And I got gel as I usually do where I go in aventura and the gel she applied on me is already all coming off. This place is so loud and everyone yelling. Unfortunately, we both had a bad experience. We were already inconvenienced by the cash only policy, which should've been a red flag, but again, I trusted her judgement. The first issue I had was when I sat down in the massage chair, the remote was wrapped up behind it, on purpose. I was confused by this until I tried to adjust it, and realized the chair was broken. The massage wheels wouldn't move from their one position in the chair. The second issue was with the nail technician talking on the phone for an extra 10 minutes before she decided to begin. Then, my final issue was that once she began, she was entirely too rough and nipped my toe nails too much, leaving an area of my nailbed exposed on my big toe! I asked her not to nip so much on my previous foot, so I called the manager over this time. He was rude and loud and said, "I'll paint your nails for you." I tried to explain to him that with my nail in this shape it was not sanitary, or in my best interest to "paint over it," "it" being an open sore! To this he replied, "It's still $18, you stop her but the job is done." However the job was not done, and it was unable to be completed because she hurt me. I offered to pay half, and he said no. I walked out of the establishment and he followed me and harassed my friend by taking pictures of her license plate and yelling at her, saying "The cops are going to pull you over!" He and I both called the cops, but they never showed up. After waiting two hours, my friend paid him (with my money, of course) and made him delete the pictures. The prices honestly can't be beat but the horrible treatment and lack of costumer service is not worth the savings. There are two Asian guys that are so horribly rude. I was seating in the chairs by the drying area which was empty and they made me move even though I one needed to use that area. They will rush through your nails, leaving you disappointing and very dissatisfied! What's even worse, they're very careless! If I could put 0 stars I would. Very unprofessional salon. Owners are extremely rude and talk bad in Vietnamese about you so you don't understand them. They only accept cash so they can hide their profits and avoid taxes. They don't make you feel comfortable and overall don't care if they make your experience a horrible one. I asked for a specific manicurist and they told me she was booked with appointments so sat me with someone else. Lady barely spoke to me and cut my nails too short when I said not too short. Then proceeded to file down even more. I noticed the manicurist I asked for was I'm fact not busy. I did not like my nails at all and left very upset. Owner was rude and yelled at me because I stated I did not like my nails and that the manicurist I wanted was "busy" and if I wanted her to redo my nails I would need to wait however long. I am PREGNANT and left crying and upset and went to another salon where they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel very happy. They took out the garbage nails that were done to me and fixed them. This wonderful place I went to after was called Yodi's Eyebrow threading which they also do nails and hair.
