Salmon poke bowl
Micah C.

This place looked promising but I was a little disappointed coming here. The vendors' menus sounded really good and it seemed like a nice place to grab dinner (loved the interiors!). Unfortunately, I thought it was really pricey and the food was okay for the price you pay. I tried Horu Sushi Kitchen and got the salmon poke bowl ($16). The bowl was alright -- I wish the salmon pieces were sliced more evenly and that they didn't add tomatoes to the poke bowl. My husband also ordered from the cheesesteak place and he waited more than 30 mins for his food to come out. I was done eating by the time it came out.

WHO KNEW VEGAN CHEESESTEAK WAS GOOD!?! ...I didn't... Market, order at your own leisure styled dining is what Le Fantome could be considered. Roughly 6 or so restaurants on one side of the room, a bar in the middle of the room, and filler space being seating room, this place was good. I came with my group of 3, but also saw single people at their own table with laptops and headphones, making me think this is a good place to work or have a chance of scenery for an evening. Anyway, great food. Reminds me of a good place to watch and be present at, during a sporting event. The bar, the tv, the variety of surrounding food options. Vegan, Asian, Italian, etc. So why only 4 stars? Because I personally, love human interaction - and would prefer for my order to be made with a person, and not in the palm of my hand.

I come here on my firday evening for the great food, friendly people, and great vibe! There are sooo many choices to choose since there is about 6+ different restaurants. The food is ALWAYS good! Whether you want a cheese steak from chucky and bops, sushi from Horu Sushi, authentic tacos from J&J Mex, or just have a drink at the bar.. you can't go wrong! This time I was excited to have exotic Chef at my job under fooda! It is delicious! I highly recommend

From what I can tell, this food hall is continuing to improve! For instance, happy hour specials haven't changed, but they extended it until 8:00 everyday -- YAY!!! They also have a brunch on Sundays now, Trivia Tuesdays, Karaoke Wednesdays... it's getting quite eventful! My last time there, I noticed some nice looking tables outside... I am pretty sure they haven't been there long! Anyways, let's dive into the specifics of my last visit. I went a little late, because I had been meaning to try their sushi (one of the few things I haven't tried yet), and I saw the sign outside that indicated HH is until 8... I wasn't prepared! I managed to squeeze a drink in at the bar -- the Rose Gold 75. It was a refreshing gin-based drink. It didn't look rose gold... and I'm not sure if it was supposed to! But it was delicious nonetheless. While waiting for the drink, I also happened to order some food -- avocado/cucumber and eel rolls from Horu, which cost about $15... not too bad. I knew sushi wouldn't fill me up, so I decided to also order from Money Muscle BBQ... they have a veggie option, which was pleasing to see. I got their black bean quinoa mac and cheese. So, the sushi... it was delicious! I have no complaints about it... but if I had to, I'd say I could've gotten more soy sauce on my tray (which I'm sure I could've asked for if I wanted to). The mac and cheese was delightfully creamy (not excessively)... but I was surprised by how not salty it was. I don't like to taste too much salt, but I feel like it could've used a little more flavor. Same for the black bean quinoa patty that was crumbled on top -- though I have to say I really like that combo. As a dish, I would try it again, but I would hope to taste more flavor... unless the wasabi numbed my taste buds? Who knows. Alas, there's still much to explore, and I will be coming back, especially now that HH is until 8!! It's officially going into my rotation. By the way, each food dish I ordered came to me in less than 5 minutes (somehow) after ordering... talk about quick service!

Jerk chicken plate from the exotic chef

Been to this food hall before and it's my favorite in the area. This time I tried The Exotic Chef from le fantome food hall and let's just say they did not disappoint. I honestly thought I wasn't going to like it much and only reason is, the plate I received the food came in this biodegradable bowl almost like chipotles bowl minus the aluminum top and a way less sturdy bottom bowl. The bowl became flimsy and I just thought no way off to a bad start but let me tell you I could've gotten that food in a plastic bag alone and been happy. The rice was soft and flavorful, the cabbage had an amazing spice to it with nice curry flavors and the chicken was seasoned very nicely and fall off the bone tender. The plantain complimented the savory and salty and just brought it all together. I felt like someone's Caribbean mom made me a plate from home and I loved every bit of it. Definitely wanna try the rest of their menu as that last plate had me wishing I was related to whoever the cook was. Coming back for sure !

Came here after work to get lunch with a friend. It's a nice little food court in this plaza shopping center. Service could've been better for cupcakes. Place: although small, the food court felt lively and casual. Decent amount of people for an afternoon. Everyone seemed friendly. Poke bowl: Its been a while since I went to a poke bowl place where it's not customizable. It was still good and filling, but I was confused with the cherry tomatoes added. Not bad, but I would request to have that removed. Beignets: the beignets were good, almost as good as the ones in New Orleans. I wish they had chocolate sauce for it. Having honey was a nice requested add on. Cupcakes: the cupcakes were a little pricey at $4 each. The cookies n cream was good, on the chocolatey side. The pina colada was a fun flavor to have. Overall, I do not think they are worth the price, especially how it took over 30 minutes to get them. I was annoyed how I couldn't really talk to anyone since the bakery kitchen was downstairs and private. I went to one of the restaurants to get an update, and they said they will tell the people downstairs. It wasn't busy either. The lady who appeared was nice and apologized, but waiting that long did not make me feel better. Cupcakes aren't worth the price nor wait.

I have never heard of this place however I was pleasantly surprised. They are really building up the area and the food hall is a nice addition as I've haven't been to this part of town in some years. When I arrived there weren't many patrons inside. I was greeted immediately upon entering and chose a seat. I was waiting for my late friend lol and was greeted again by another worker with a big smile and pleasant demeanor; which really felt nice! I noticed the QR code and scanned it to browse the menus of the different vendors. I settled on Money Muscle BBq. The food was super yummy! I would have liked more spice but that doesn't take away from how good the food was and the portion size was surprisingly just enough. Everything we ordered was good, my friend ordered and enjoyed his ramen, he is a frequent customer and recommended the location. By the time we left the place was filling up. I arrived at 11:30 and we left at 2:30. I can't wait to return for happy hour. This place is definitely a vibe and I was told I need to return for HH and some drinks to really get the whole experience. I do not drink before 4 PM

The long awaited Le Fantome is here and I was super excited about it. Positives - Beautiful décor, clever theme, good location, it was clean, the staff was very friendly, nice bar menu, and good craft cocktails Not-so positives-Mediocre food from where I ate, limited choices, no happy hour at the bar, pricey where the quality of the meal and drinks just can't be justified. Would I go back? At some point, sure. I believe as time goes on, they will get the critical feedback needed to make the right changes for lasting sustainability. Mok Bar, steamed buns- the meat was overcooked. I don't know. Think a steak-umm, not very flavorful. The brussels sprouts was very good, the scallion sour cream on top makes this dish a winner. I had one of the cocktails, the Tom a specialty margarita, it was delish, although it cost me nearly $15 bucks. The bedside manner of staff could use improvement, train them on customer service in all aspects, invest in the communities that you are using as your workforce. I'm not a fan of companies inserting staff into environments they may not be culturally familiar with. Train people on more than just cooking and using a cash register. For example, people who work at coffee shops (that shall remain nameless) that don't drink coffee, and know nothing about coffee, it's clear they are there to feed their families and keep a roof over their heads. And ain't nothing wrong with that at all! I feel mostly everyone would appreciate a workplace experience that polishes and refines them, giving workers skills that last well beyond the paychecks. Le Fantome needs to step their game up so that this place not only looks good visually, but also upholds the French upscale concept in every aspect of the experience, otherwise, it's going to get old real fast.

I just so happened to be in the area and knew of the food hall and had to stop by. It's located in a convenient area, lots of food choices and easy parking. So there's a big sign and that's what I headed to but didn't seem right. Worker said that was their storage and across the way was the food hall. No problem. Get inside and there's 3 restaurants. I know there are more but they are ghost kitchens and maybe order online, I was confused about that and didn't see any signage about it. But all that didn't matter, I was there for a chicken sando. Sonny & Sons, excellent chicken sandwich. EXCELLENT. I got the hot one and the heat was there. So from my picture looks really good but the surprise is the chicken went like 3 inches past the bun on the side. It was gigantic and I was loving every bite. The slaw and pickles helped balance out the heat, great bread, the most perfectly seasoned waffle fries. I'd eat here every week if they were close by. Service was great too, it clearly was my first time here and the main chick helped me out on ordering. Highly recommend.

This awesome food hall is now open in Riverdale Park (near the Whole Foods), bringing delicious new food options to the area. You can order in line at the food counters or from your table by QR Code. I stopped by on opening day around lunch time, and although some things were still being worked out with respect to ordering bar drinks, and picking up to-go food, the customer service was excellent and our food came out very quickly. Helpful staff members were around to help people navigate how to order and to deliver food to each table, quickly picking up empty containers and tidying up, and they even gave my son a cute coloring page and crayons. There's a good amount of seating, large windows with lots of natural light, with an atmosphere and style that mimics a French cafe. The waffle fries from Sonny & Sons were simple in a good way, lightly crispy and cut with the potato skin on. The salmon poke bowl and ahi tuna tower from Horu were delicious, filling a major void in the local area for good sushi. The K-Town fries from Mok Bar had a great blend of flavors with spicy mayo and kimchi topping skinny fries. Also, almost half the indoor space is for a large fully stocked bar with built in USB and charging outlets (yes; they have free wi-fi) around the perimeter, as well with a couple TV's. Right now, there are several wines, a couple draft beers, and cocktails to order, but they will eventually have a happy hour on weekdays and a craft cocktail menu. Soon there will also be several different "ghost kitchen" incubators for local chefs to try new concepts.

Sonny & Sons chicken tenders and fries
Aisha A.

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich (from Sonny & Sons), and instead, I was given chicken tenders (see attached images) :/ The chicken tenders were not spicy AT ALL; all they did was sprinkle cayenne pepper on the meat. There needed to be more consistency with the flavors. One chicken tender tasted terrific, while the other lacked seasoning and tasted like nothing. One of my chicken tenders was a different color from the other two. I do not see why you put these tenders on top of a bland piece of bread; at least toast it or give us a brioche bread slice for the price we are paying. Overall, I am incredibly disappointed with the chicken entree. However, a sauce (like a homemade spicy mayo) came with the food that was SO GOOD, 10/10. If you were to give this place a shot, ask for extra. The fries were cool too. If this were a personal review for Sonny & Sons, I would give that place a 1/5. However, Le Fantome is cool and cute. I like it. It's smaller than I expected, but no biggie. I can see myself bringing friends and family here for lunch or dinner :) Also, the customer service is excellent. I ended up calling them regarding the mixed up at Sonny & Sons, and the person on the phone was incredibly respectful and helpful.

This is a Variety of spots located here... They have an elegant bar area where happy our is pretty decent. Along with that you have restaurants from sushi to one that focus on good ramen and also can forget the chicken and pork spots.. service is more so controlled from a kiosk. You put your order in and they deliver to which ever location you are seated at. There are so many great areas to sit at and also a lot of window through out the establishment. I love the oysters they have here, that always go good with an old fashioned or glass of wine.

I think PG's strength lies in its simplistic fashion with being able to drive to let's say Ross, Marshalls, Macys, park in the overcrowded lots, and go into the stores without having to bob and weave throughout the actual mall. The mall itself is only one floor instead of two. This can be a good thing but also a bad thing in terms of variety, flavor, and the dynamic experience of the mall. If the mall is going to be one floor, it has to be dynamic and interesting like Annapolis Mall. (I personally don't like Arundel Mills, Circle Mall of Death, so I won't use them as an example.) I have been an avid driver and known to hit many backroads in the DMV and Baltimore region, but hey when I just want to hit a close enough mall, PG is old reliable and has been for many years now. The Macy's is decent (I somewhat prefer Wheaton's for some things, but PG's is better for other things), DSW, Bath and Body Works, TJ Maxx, Target, and the food court are places my family heads to the most here. The food court is much better than Wheaton's in my opinion in terms of the quality and taste of the food. PG's Charleys owns Wheaton's Charleys in terms of a nice greasy, Steak and Cheese. (Yes, we have to watch our blood pressure and cholesterol I know.) I think PG's food court is a little more laid back than Wheaton's. I think the food is better than Wheaton's and Montgomery's food courts. (Neither of those malls can do a Charleys cheesesteak to save their lives.) I think parking behind PG where Macys and formerly were JC Penney is probably the most convenience or the side entrance going towards TJ Maxx and DSW. The front where the bridge is to the Metro station "Hyattsville Crossing formerly Prince George's Plaza" is too congested, chaotic, and a bit too fast-paced and unpredictable way too many pedestrians and cars trying to find parking and get in and out of the mall there, definitely not a fan of parking directly in front of Target. The surrounding restaurants are a nice addition and are better than the strip of restaurants on the side of Wheaton, although Wheaton's adjacent movie theater is much better than the neighboring tumbleweed University Town Center movie theater and mixed development next to PG. Olive Garden has been the most consistent sit-down chain restaurant next to the mall for folks to indulge in. There has been tons of gentrification and new development in this part of Hyattsville, so I have seen some changes over the years slightly with the demographics of the mall, but the heart and core of the clientele has remained consistent. All in all, PG has been that ole reliable for Hyattsville, Adelphi, Mt. Rainer, Greenbelt, New Carrolton, Chillum, other parts of PG, DC, you name it residents for a more casual, laid-back type shopping experience. Nothing too fancy, bougie, or over the top. Now folks into the hip-hop urban culture have numerous clothing, shoe, and accessory stores that cater to them here, so that is a niche and market here for the urban crowd, so the mall is recommended for that crowd. When I don't want to drive to Wheaton, Montgomery, Annapolis (No need for me to go out to Tyson's regularly I am not a mall rat like that) then PG is just that good friend that is there for you! It is a steady-eddy. It is consistent, the bowl of oatmeal and not the sexy meatball sandwich, it is the a little homely, quirky wife and not the supermodel, vixen girlfriend from college, yeah that's PG!

Chinese rice is usually dry (in contrast to Japanese rice, which is usually sticky), however, this rice was just flat out slimy - not even sticky. I ended up not eating most of the rice, so I feel like I wasted $7 on this orange chicken and white rice bowl. I've uploaded a picture here: notice how you can see individual grains of rice towards the bottom left corner of the picture, but at the top right, the rice looks all mushed together. I would give Panda Express three stars for the quick service and food, but deduct two stars for the inconsistency of the food. I don't think I will ever order white rice again, mainly because most of the rice was mushy and gross and because of how frequently they serve this slimy, mushy rice. I would stick to the fried rice, personally...
