Spicy chicken deluxe combo
Jennifer C.

Ordered from Wonder since there was a promotion to try out the new food hall and figured a chicken sandwich might be a simple thing to try from Streetbird. Unfortunately, I feel like it lacked in flavor. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and I didn't taste any seasonings to bring the chicken sandwich flavors forward let alone any hint of spice or heat. The lettuce was pretty wilted and the presentation was average. I also ordered the fries which were just fries. Underwhelmed I unfortunately would probably not give this a try again. The customer service was great though workers were pleasant and attentive when I arrived to pick up my order. The location is small but clean and it still fascinates me that the kitchen produces so many cuisines. I'd be open to try others but not sure I'd order again from this menu specifically due to this experience.

Decided to go with Streetbird, a bit of a newcomer in the wildly popular chicken wings and chicken sandwich business. Streetbird is a creation of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. I got a $5 off coupon over the Internet, and it was accepted, no problem. Went with M's fried chicken sandwich combo, with hot maple chili sauce and coleslaw. I found all of it yummy, and was fairly warm when received. The side of coleslaw is so much larger than what other competitors are offering. Also sampled my friend's spiced chicken wings combo, with mac & greens. The mac & greens are fab. I'm gonna try making that at home myself. Welcome to the neighborhood.

We ordered 2 Kati Rolls (paneer and lamb kofta) from Krazi Kebob. We did Chappli Kabob, a Kabob Roll, and the Lamb Chop platter from The Kabob Joint. And we did the Thai tea and Chai tea from the boba shop. For the Kabob Joint: The Kabob roll was a real winner and the Chappli Kabob in the spicy green sauce was super. I wish the edges would have been a little crispier, but very good. We haven't had the Lamb Chop yet but there's a ton of food in their platters. For the Krazi Kabob, the paneer roll wasn't super spicy but was very tasty and I'd definitely get it again. The lamb was good too but I preferred the paneer. Highly recommend ordering in advance or with delivery; there isn't anywhere to sit and eat of course, and everything is made to order, so expect about a 20 minute wait if you walk in and order from the kiosk inside. Overall, great food and a cool business model for the area. In addition to the above, I'd probably get the Masala Fries next time and would consider the samosa chaat as a deconstructed samosa bowl.

THIS PLACE WAS FUN!…read more Traveling to DC for the history, Little Blue Menu is located a half-hour away from our nations capitol, and if you are a fan of regular Chick-Fil-A, then this place is right up your alley. Being a "test kitchen", this restaurant has some offerings not offered anywhere else. First thing I noticed was that at 1PM on a Tuesday, the restaurant was quite empty. I'd say there was about 15-20 patrons inside; most of the orders were all carry-out, which was surprisingly. However, the restaurant has a beautiful open-layout, and a lot of light coming in. Back to the food: of course I opted for the "odd" options found only on this location. I ordered the following: 8 piece bone-in chicken wings, sweet potato tater tots, and the very interesting Chick-Fil-A Pizza. As for the wings, they come in a variety of options - including sauced - but I wanted the crunch to stay intact. Rather than going wet, I asked for a side of Old-Bay seasoning and I sprinkled that on my wings. ALSO: they have HOUSE-MADE ranch. Not the factory ranch with the blue label, HOUSE-MADE. That was impressive. The wings were so good, lightly battered, and freshly-fried. On to the tots. They were also freshly-fried, but honestly? A bit bland! I had to sprinkle the old-bay on them too to have some kind-of taste. There was not even a slight sweetness. A bit of a letdown. Lastly, the PIZZA: the pizza cost $10.99, and for it's base it is Chick-Fil-A sauce, then topped with sliced chicken nuggets, cheese, pickle slice, and drizzled again with that Chick-Fil-A sauce. It was a DECENT PIZZA, cool in concept, but nothing to write home about. It tasted fine, it just wasn't mind-blowing. I added some crushed pepper to add another "element" to it. It was kind of needed. OOOOH. For my drink, this was crazy: I got a Blue Boba Breaker. What is it? The employee told me its flavered with Huckleberry? That's cool! Topped with a cold foam, and boba on the bottom --- this drink slapped! 5/5 RECCOMEND! LOVED IT!

To start, I reached out to Chef Bernard based on the Yelp reviews to see if he could prepare a romantic dinner for my husband and I on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015. He was available and agreed to serve us. From the start, he was very professional and communicated well. He sent me sample menus with options galore. If there was something on the menu that I wanted mixed up a little, he had no objections. My husband is a very 'simple' eater so I wanted to know if the Chef could also prepare something 'simple' like Potato Au Gratin. Whew....he did and it was sooooooo good! He arrived at our home in what I call his mobile kitchen (because he had everything in it that one could imagine), introduced himself to us and got down to business. We had a few small plate items, entree and dessert. He talked to us while he prepared the meals and it simply felt like he was a friend. It did not feel weird or awkward having him in our kitchen at all. It was great! He gave us tips on cooking at he prepared meals and spoke to us more about who he was (in and out of the kitchen). Some of the items we enjoyed were: 1. Pork chimichangas 2. Cajun eggrolls 3. Peking duck rolls 4. Filet (cooked to order) 5. Potato au gratin 6. Broccoli w/cheese 7. Cheese blintzes wi/ a strawberry wine sauce 8. Crab cakes Everything was perfect! He served us well and we could not have asked for a better experience. We are looking forward to more dinner parties with him in our home. If you are looking for a chef to help you make a memorable event, Chef Bernard is your answer. He also prepares weekly meals for you or your family. My husband really enjoyed the food and he is still raving about it. We tried items we typically would never try in a restaurant. Upon first impressions this place looks massive and impressive. It is not your traditional mall in the sense that the anchor stores aren't what you expect. I say that this place reminds me of the stores/malls in the Zohan movie. The names of the stores is what brings this to mind. It does have it's high points here, i.e., they have a movie theater, ample parking, and plenty of stores. However, they do have their low points too. Several stores have closed since I was here last. Z Burger and TJMaxx are noticeably missing. They do still seem to keep pulling in and opening up newer stores. Not sure how they are capable of doing that, but they are. It is a great place for a distraction.
