Some of the best sandwiches around and really good soups. The bread is amazing is here and they desserts as in cookies pies and cakes that look super good which i will try later. The egg salad sandwich i had was very good and the butternut squash soup was also great. Great small spot with many good healthy options to have lunch or brunch at. The only reason this spot doesn't get the 5 stars from me is because its little pricey at Bout 10 bucks per sandwich that isn't the biggest but delicious. MEATLOAF SANDWICH! Meatloaf from Cornucopia is the benchmark of meatloaf ...period. However, there are two PROBLEMS: 1. Cornucopia is a two and a half hour drive for me. Rather inconvenient for a quick lunch. 2. I don't have Cornucopia's recipe. SOLUTIONS: 1. Cornucopia could set up a branch restaurant in Tucson ...near the Bisbee Breakfast Club, preferably. 2. Or, Cornucopia could share the recipe. Other thoughts ...this is a small, friendly place. Order at the counter; food is delivered to your table. The receptionist at the Copper Queen hotel recommended this restaurant since theirs was closed. In the middle of Main Street, this restaurant occupies a small storefront. They have seating for about 25. The food is sandwiches, quiches , soups and homemade desserts. Besides the normal beverages, they made a freshly made lemonade. We split a turkey sandwich and both had the lemonade. The sandwich was on sour dough bread and was very good with a generous helping of turkey. It was a good sandwich and the lemonade was fantastic. The menu is on a chalk board and it looks like some of the quiches and desserts are change daily. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a light meal with friendly servers. Food is Ok but overpriced. Horrible sanitary practices - kitchen employee was eating at a table while we ordered, then proceeded to start making a smoothie without washing his hands. We had to interrupt and ask him to wash his hands. Should've walked out then and there. Also another customer came in with a medium sized dog and sat at the bar top adjacent to where they prep the food. Pretty sure that's not legal.... So darn delicious! This was my favorite place I ate at in Bisbee. I got a quiche and Greek salad and both were really really good. I usually am not the biggest fan of Greek salad, I could take it or leave it, but theirs really was great. Exposed brick, a tiled mosaic floor from the turn of the century, and local artwork on the walls give this cozy cafe a European flair. I drove to Bisbee for coffee and I saw this cafe on Main St. I figured why not, time to try a new spot. First thing I noticed when I walked in were the thick quiches on display which reminded me of my time in France. So I ordered a slice of the spinach quiche which comes with a choice of soup or salad. I couldn't decide on the soup so the owner gave me a sample. That was the best clam chowder I tasted since moving from Seattle. Plenty of perfectly cooked clams with good sized bits of potato swimming in a delicious broth! The quiche was really good and was served with a big chunk of homemade bread and butter. I added a nice fresh fruit smoothie and enjoyed an excellent meal. I will definitely be back! read more

We ate here on our trip to Bisbee last week and enjoyed our lunch. We each had a half turkey sandwich with avocado on whole wheat bread and it was the perfect size for a light lunch before the mine tour. With so many good reviews, I was puzzled by the 1 bad review. Contrary to what she says, they do take credit cards. We even used a credit card for a bank based in Holland and it went through with no problems. I also wouldn't expect free refills of any drink at a small business such as this. If you want free refills and a generic sandwich, can I suggest that you drive up the road to Benson? read more

The white bread at Cornucopia is the best thing since, well, sliced bread! Lame jokes aside, this cute and intimate little place was a highlight during my Bisbee day trip. I had the green chile quiche with bread and soup as sides. The mildly sweet white bread with that delicious butter took the spotlight. This is the first time I'm impressed with white loaf bread. And my quiche was delicious as well...my boyfriend kept regretting he didn't get it himself (he did like his sandwich though). Next time I'm in Bisbee, I'll definitely return. read more

Seeing how it's Bisbee with not a lot of options they are lucky to have Café Cornucopia. They are always coming up with fresh and creative new menu items which are always great. We're in Bisbee for birthday weekend getaway. We stopped at Cornucopia today for lunch. They said meatloaf sandwich was their specialty so the hubs ordered it with no Mayo (allergy). Lady who prepped food brought us our sandwiches. His had Mayo on it and he immediately pointed it out. He was happy to just have the bottom bread swapped out as there was lettuce as barrier between Mayo and rest of the sandwich. Instead she grabbed his plate, rolled her eyes and said "No! I have to throw it all away!" We we're seated at counter overlooking where she was making the food which made the situation 10x more uncomfortable. Our server apologized for the mix up as she didn't write no Mayo on the order but that wasn't our fault. Other thing I found incredibly odd was all the desserts were lined up about a foot away from us/uncovered. This is a cute little cafe with counter service and a friendly, seat yourself atmosphere. The wall was covered with gorgeous photographs of mineral specimens. It was wholly pleasant to sit in and afforded a nice view of Main Street. I ordered the spinach quiche, which was only slightly more tempting than the green chile quiche. It comes with soup or salad and I chose a garden salad. Food arrived very quickly, with a thick slice of fresh buttered bread. Typically I don't eat bread but this was too good to ignore! The salad was massive. That was probably my only complaint; it was too large for the plate and, I regret to say, some of it ended up on the floor as a result. I take partial responsibility for that. At any rate, a nice crisp fresh salad. It just would have been neater in a bowl. The quiche was the best. It was hot, thick, fluffy, eggy and cheesy but not too cheesy. Cafe Cornucopia was an amazing lunch on our amazing weekend trip! Four generations enjoyed a great lunch in this quaint cafe. Loved the menu offering sandwiches, soup and quiche. Our party of 7.... loving some of everything! Tortilla soup was a hit. Loved the asparagus quiche myself! The chicken chile sandwich was a hit as well. Dessert was a bonus too! They have a deal that lets you choose two between half a sandwich, soup, salad, or quiche. All were fabulous except the salad, which had a homemade dressing that was a bit bland. The owner is as friendly as it gets, the food is fresh and filling (and portions are large), if you order the soup you'll get a sliced of fresh baked heaven bread. I travel in a band playing music and am always in search of good food. This is one of the best places we have eaten. Everything was top notch and the service was excellent. I would eat here just for the homemade bread, which it is very similar to my grandma's traditional white bread. Think warm with a thick layer of butter-a grainy, homemade texture and sweet taste. It is just about perfect and transports me back to Wisconsin with every bite. The sandwiches and soups are excellent, too. A half sandwich, soup, and slice of homemade bread run you about $9, but it is really, really filling. The egg salad is made with a mustard (probably dijon), giving it a nice tang. The turkey avocado with seasonal veggies is probably my favorite. The tuna is made with flaky albacore and relish. Soups-The asparagus cream soup is fresh tasting (not too creamy) with large chucks of asparagus. The tomato is chunky with lots of veg. The stuffed bell pepper has ground beef-very filling. Best soup so far is the spicy carrot. Like so many Bisbee establishments they have funky summer hours-I've been trying to get my Cornucopia fill before they close in July. Don't expect cookie cutter service, food, or hours. Get ready for great soups and sandwiches and out of this world homemade bread. It's a girls eatery, you can tell by the offerings, i.e. quiche. But, they did try to pander to the males that end up crossing the threshold in tow. They were offering a quiche with Hatch Green Chiles. I had the half meatloaf sandwich with cup of split pea soup. I was a little trepiditious about the soup, I prefer my pea soup to be more like pea pudding where you can stand the spoon on end without fear of it falling. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, whereas it was not as thick as I prefer, it was something I would eat again. I half to admit, I was not man enough to finish the half meatloaf sandwich, though it was terrific. The woman that towed me in had the spinach quiche with a salad. I stopped here because they had a sign in front advertising fresh peach tea and I was thirsty after shopping and this sounded refreshing. This tea had real peach pieces in it !!!
