Great salon. Wonderful ladies. Great price. Amazing music. However I would like to the owner to do a deep cleaning of the place and maybe adding paintings and plants. Also get more equipment. Looks like the girls were constantly borrowing things from each other, like different hairbrushes and curling irons. I reeeeally wanted to like this place!! It's close to home, the reviews were great, and a friend SWEARS by Janet. So despite absolutey loving my regular place I decided to be fiscally responsible and bought a Groupon to get my girly bits waxed. HUGE MISTAKE. Janet was super cool and friendly, but her waxing skill is subpar at best. Loooong and painful pulls (hello, breakage!!), missed spots (Um... you missed a spot. And another. "That's just new growth"... No, I haven't been waxed in months), 10 minutes of tweezing (wait, didn't you just WAX that area??), followed by "You'll probably look like a plucked chicken for a couple of days. I usually tell people to use cortisone cream." Er... or how's about you use quality wax and shorter pulls in the correct direction based on hair growth... so you don't have to recommend medication for recovery?? Nice or not, this waxer simply is not skilled and my lady haven took the brunt. When I leave my regular waxer (Betsy at Bare) I'm baby smooth with no pain and very little redness, if any. When I left Le Charme I was scared to even look down. And when I did... good god. Kudos to all ya'll who feel you've found exactly what you're looking for. But my theory is anyone who loves this place simply hasn't had a quality waxing. Try Betsy at Bare. (But don't book her on Wednesdays because that's my day.) read more

Her waxing is completely affordable, much less than many in town for maintenance... plus you get a a great experience, completely professional, good advice and suggestions with a genuine smile. A wonderful experience. Plus with her background, concerns or questions are answered freely. She is a true gem. I simply cannot say enough about her. I have had some waxing horror stories and yes paid way too much. Janet is by far my best experience. With her kind demeanor, I cannot imagine anyone complaining about her even with a Groupon. I have been going to Le Charme for a few months now, and have been SUPER happy with the way Jessie cuts my hair. Which makes this review all the sadder for me to write, because I will never go back. I had a hair appointment yesterday, on the day after the Presidential Election. I was a little early, Jessie was running a little late as she worked on coloring someone else's hair, so I grabbed a hot drink at Cafe Delirium around the corner and settled into the comfy chair in the front of the salon to wait my turn. As I waited, the topic of conversation going on between two of the other employees (not Jessie!) was very uncomfortable. They were, 10 feet from a customer, at the front chairs/entry desk of the salon, discussing someone's infidelity, how it was affecting their children for the upcoming holidays, etc. Not really what a customer wants to hear, but not blatantly offensive, so I just sipped my chai, played on my phone and tried to ignore the conversation. Then the topic of the election came up. These two women (again, not Jessie, who was hard at work at one of the back chairs with another client) mentioned how two of their customers were "crazy" because of the election results, how they wanted to introduce them to each other because of their "crazy"ness, how one was actually crying about the election results, etc. I was mistified by how they believed this was an appropriate conversation to have while sitting at the intake-desk for a business. Finally, as one said "I mean, sure, Trump may like to grab a little pussy, but women do that too, I mean, I've heard about women doing way worse things..." and starting in again on the "crazy" customers, I couldn't take any more. I politely got up, approached the desk, told them that I was one of those "crazy" women, and that I was taking my business elsewhere. I firmly believe that as Americans we all have our right to vote as we see fit, and I recognize that others see the world differently than I do. But to insult and mock their customers in front of another customer (not to mention blatantly ignoring the "don't talk about religion or politics in a business setting" guideline that most folks recognize), was just too much. I hope maybe they just were having a thoughtless morning, and that my reaction (and loss of business) acted as a reminder that what they are saying in front of customers is heard, and that insulting their clientelle in front of other clients isn't appropriate. I'll really miss having Jessie cut my hair, but I just can't justify supporting Le Charme Salon at this point. read more

I have been wanting to write this review for a while now... So I was referred to Le Charme through a friend and was set up with Tanya. I wanted red ombré done on my naturally dark brown hair. It was a pretty big deal for me to get this done cause I have never really dyed my hair before except for a box die once. She didn't do exactly what I wanted because it didn't look like how it did in the picture I showed her even though she said it did. It's whatever, people see colors differently. But I went home and after one wash the red completely came out and my hair was left with a brassy ugly orange color. Tanya told me that the red died fast but I assumed and even thought that she had mentioned a month or so not ONE WASH. So I called them hoping they could do something (since I paid quite a bit to have it done), and she charged me $20 dollars to put my hair BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. Personally, $20 doesn't seem like a huge deal but I feel that she should have done this free of charge. Because my hair was literally back to how it was when I came in so I wasted $120 on a haircut? I am disappointed by that and will not ever be returning and DO NOT RECOMMEND this hair dresser even though she has been there for ten years or whatever. Really disappointed now I am waiting for my natural hair to come back because even the black hair dye faded into brass!! read more

I have had two experiences here, both of which were less than great. The first was a while ago - I booked an appointment with a stylist here for a simple hair cut, I specifically requested that stylist because she had come recommended by a friend. I showed up to the appointment five minutes ahead of time, only to find the salon closed. I double checked my confirmation and waited until the time of the appointment. About after ten minutes of waiting and wracking my brain for what to do, someone showed up. She unlocked the salon and I went in and told her I had an appointment with whatever stylist it was. She called that stylist, and the stylist had completely forgot about my appointment and was half an hour away. So, being the young idiot I was, I waited. When she showed up, she was irritated and gave me a terrible hair cut. I was pretty miffed at this point, vowing to never go there again. So, I don't my hair cut very often, but after an attempt to do it myself, I thought 'what did I not like about this place? My friend still goes and loves it - maybe I should try it again!' I called and scheduled an appointment, this time with a different stylist and was told I would receive a confirmation. The text came on my phone the day of the appointment and I paid no mind to it, about an hour before I left I looked at my phone to double check the time. And It was listed at 4 pm, instead of the noon appointment I had booked. I called the salon to ask about the appointment, their response 'oh well, it worked better for her.' What? No. When I booked my appointment I expected to come at that time, and if the stylist needs to change the time they should call and ask if the new time works for the client. I cancelled my appointment and went to a different salon. Would not recommend. read more

I have only had fabulous experiences here and don't plan on going to anyone else besides Brooke. She is an amazing stylist. I would highly recommned her to anyone looking for a great experience. She always has the best color picked out for me before I even get there, amazing cuts, and impeccable styling! You won't regret it. And she is very cost-friendly! I needed an emergency new 'do and the appointment I had with another stylist at another salon was cancelled due to car problems. In a panic, looking through Groupons, I called Le Charme Salon. I couldn't get in on the Groupon, but Jessi could see me at 2. I took the appointment and was about 20 minutes early thinking that I would just flip through books. Jessi could take me right away and she did. I showed her a couple pictures, gave her my usual vague instructions that frustrate most hair stylists since I basically want my hair to look perfect without doing anything to it. I've also had some horrible haircuts in my day, so I was incredibly nervous. But when Jessi was done, I had what I thought was impossible - the haircut inside of my head was actually on top of my head. I could not be happier. And I am pretty hard to please when it comes to my hair. She's amazing. I'm incredibly thrilled that I stumbled backward into an appointment with her and she has a client for as long as I'm in the area. You should be her client, too! You won't be sorry. I recently took my daughter to Le Charme hair salon. My daughter and I have been customers of this salon for years now. I will say that every other time we have went in there the experience was GREAT!! I unfortunatly didn't know about this sight until now, so this review is about the last time we visited the salon. We went in to get my daughter a color and trim. I asked for a light brown and what I ended up seeing was very dark brown almost black. The trim ended up being a cut which sucked for Briana who never wants her hair shortened. Amy is the gal who'm cut and colored Briana's hair. I'm sorry to have a bad review, but I'm more sorry that I had to pay $80 for a cut and color that my daughter hated. read more

Had a excellent experience getting a facial from Rachel. She is professional yet a very relaxed personality. She did an amazing job and the price was to die for. I went here for at least 6 times. I saw Christy and it was worse and worse each time I saw her. She is so rough on your hair that when you leave, your head is actually throbbing. She walks off and chats with other people in the middle of your appointment. I had my assistant schedule an appointment for me once, and when I got there, they said I did't have an appointment and they couldn't see me. The receptionist greeted me with only one of her eyes made up in some heavy dark makeup. Talk about disconcerting, trying to have a conversation with that crazy look! Then I tried Amy, I told her my hair processes really fast. Guess she didn't believe me because when I left she handed me her cell phone number and said to call her if I had any trouble with my hair. Well, it was fried on the top and chunks of it broke off at about an inch from my scalp! If you like little or no customer service, stained, dirty looking towels and chaos, then you should really like this place! read more

I've been going to Molly for almost 10 years and I will never change! I feel so confident with her doing my hair that I walk in and say "do whatever you think will look good" and she gets it perfect every time! She is just the sweetest and my whole family loves her! I can't even begin to explain all the reasons you should go to Molly. Such a cute and sweet personality. She really cares about her clients. If you don't like it, she will fix it(but that probably won't be necessary since her work is always above and beyond my picky standards)! The entire Le Charme staff is awesome!
