This is the best hair salon in the PDX AREA! I have medium ash blonde hair that grabs red and turns out brassy if you are not experienced with ash hair. Leanne is an expert colorist and corrective technition. I started seeing her in 1990 as the result of an inexperienced colorist causing my hair to look like brassy straw. She corrected the mess and has maintained my hard to color hair since. The two times that I went elsewhere; I ended up with "scarecrow hair" and the second time GREEN hair. I have VERY fine hair; which I wear long. Leanne knows how to cut thin fine hair, without losing volume. When Leanne cuts my hair I look like I have more hair than before she cut it! Leanne is very patient, professional and ALWAYS ON SCHEDULE. I HAVE NEVER WAITED MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES FOR HER. She knows color and is an EXPERT at color correction: without damage or breakage. Her prices are more than competitive. Candace is also an expert colorist and stylist. I have watched her for years and she is as amazing as Leanne. Candice Also does nails and waxing. She shapes my brows better than anyone I have ever used, in addition to tweezing those annoying hairs that appear on my face, that I can't get by myself. Allure meets ALL MY BEAUTY NEEDS. And both of the gals are kind and caring. I drive forty miles to have them take care of me. And I will never let anyone color my hair again! read more

Mixed reviews I've been here before to see a different stylist that is no longer here, came here to see Brea and she's great. Brea was easy to talk to and didn't mind my thick hair. The shop owner review: ONE star. Any client she had did not wear a mask. Neither did she. The entire time she rambled about how Covid is fake and anyone who gets the vaccine is an idiot. She made comments about the Democratic Party making everything a race thing and even stated that the recent event of the WHITE 21 year old male shooting and killing the Asian women at the massage parlor was not an act of racism. She boasted about how the military did not follow Biden and how Trump was a great president. read more

My hair was ruined. And while she ruined my hair she told me a story about a customer whose hair she messed up and they were mad but it wasn't her fault because she did what they asked for...I felt like it was a guilt trip story because she did such a poor job on my hair.... it wasn't anything like I asked for...not even close. She was a sweet lady (Kathy) which is why I gave her two stars. But the fact is that she messed my hair up...she knew it...and then didn't acknowledge it or offer to fix it. I am very very disappointed! The Service they gave me was not worth my $200 ! I went in and had a mini consultation with one of the ladies who worked there , she said she could totally achieve the look I was going for but , that it would just look a bit different so , we set up a date for me to come back because it would take about 3 hours . I had dyed my hair black almost a year before so I understood it wouldn't look exactly the same as the picture but I expected it to at least look a little bit different. When my hair was done , nobody at all was able to see the difference in my hair , the lady didn't even offer to refund my money . I'm never going back ! Not worth it . read more

Don't bother! I tried calling to make an apt... no answer... multiple times. They say walk in welcome so I shrugged it off and thought I'd swing by. My son was getting the haircut. We walk in and there's one person there shampooing someone and the lady takes ONE look at us and starts telling us all the reasons she can't cut us (without even a hello!) : she has no clue when anyone is coming in, they work for themselves and I should have made an apt.. when I mentioned I tried calling she stood there staring at me and then said, go try misbehavin' they could mAAybe help You" .... umm wow.... I get being busy and I would have been more than happy to come back when she had a free moment- but I'm sorry... I don't have time nor do I want to give my business to anyone who can be so blatantly rude. I literally left and my son (4yrs old!) Asked me "momma whys she's so mean? She not like us?" Worse service I've ever had. I walk in for the first time and not one person greeted me or asked me who I was seeing, but they did ask the gal who came in right after me. I sat there for 15 min and made eye contact with a few different gals, who again said nothing to me. At that point I decided I would wait for 5 minutes past my appointment time than leave, yet 5 minutes came and went and still nothing..... The person I was supposed to see text me immediately after I left and said that a few of the girls "think" they saw me and then she proceeded to call me and text me to inform me that I was 30 minutes late and if I call to reschedule I would pay a cancellation fee lol. Good thing I'm not going back.... I'm sorry but if I'm forking out 200.00 for eyelash extensions than you better have good customer service. I did not post the girls name that I was supposed to see because it isn't her fault the service sucks, but if you're reading this I highly recommend working somewhere else. So, if your planning to try this place I would think again because this place was incredibly unprofessional and I highly recommend going somewhere else. I really don't need to get off from a long day at work to not be acknowledged at a salon and hear the employees talking about how drunk they're going to go get this weekend. Every person that works here is very polite and professional, Sarah Banister in particular was extremely on point when it comes to hair cuts. My stylist, Sarah, was so incredibly sweet. As she made the appointment she listened carefully to my requests and scheduled even extra time because I told her I have a lot of hair. It did take more time than she anticipated but she did not freak out which I really appreciated because like I said I a lot of hair! I am so glad I called Allure because my color is awesome!
