Cafe Americano which is our go to anytime traveling outside the US.

A great menu to choose from with classics like Eggs Benedict or to an iron skillet with scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes, baked beans, and more. Didn't have that because it was huge but smelled awesome. Quaint store/market as you enter and then led into the dining room which is well laid out. Space between tables unique for the area. Breathing room galore. Server was very attentive even after the place filled up behind us. Food presentation was inviting and the quality was great. Would highly recommend and certain I'll return.

Wonderful mocha and hot chocolate. Got the orange mocha one day and it tasted like a high quality bite of a fine creamy dark orange chocolate bar. Got the white hot chocolate another day and while the flavor profile didn't fully align with my tastes, it was clearly high quality and my partner loved it (I also did still enjoy it). It it would be perfect for someone who likes goat milk, since it had something like that slightly grassy earthy flavor. We also enjoyed the duck confit eggs benedict, the outdoor cafe atmosphere, and the attentive service. Cute shop inside with some great picks (I enjoy Qantu but have a more limited selection in the states!).

What a cute cafe in montreal! I forgot what the name I got, but it was an eggs benedict with smoked salmon. It sounded so good all three of my friends and i got it and it was so good. Our waitress was very sweet and kind and gave us recommendations. I got the orange chocolate coffee and although i asked for it iced, it did come out hot, but nonetheless it was still really good hot. Would recommend coming!

Le Cartet is one of our favorite brunch spots in Montreal. We try to visit every time we are in town, and at this point have been at least 5 times. The food is delicious, including excellent benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. We have had consistently great service, and servers were very patient and understanding our last two visits when our party included a small child. Along with food and great coffee, Le Cartet also has to-go items for sale, including local beers and ciders. A great place all around.

Yummy brunch spot in downtown Montreal! Service is good and the restaurant is very cute. Seemed like a lot of locals were eating here. Golden latte was excellent (had it with oat milk because they were out of coconut milk), not sweet but had a nutty quality. Nordique was very filling, I felt the price was ok considering the amount of food and the location.

Absolutely loved this place- definitely gives you that French bistro vibe, which is exactly what you want when searching for brunch in Montreal! We had a party of 5 on a Saturday morning and despite there being a line outside, we only had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated, which was reasonable. I cannot overemphasize how friendly the staff was as well. We were going to order dessert at the same time as our meal, and the waitress suggested we hold off because we would probably be full, and boy was she right! The food was OUTSTANDING! I ordered the Toscan, which is eggs Benedict...and it wound up being the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. We also had the croissant egg, cheese, and scrambled eggs....and again even though it is such a simple meal, something about it was so delicious. The croissant itself was the perfect combo of crispy and soft. Would 100% recommend you come here if you are in this part of town.

Eggs with asparagus and goat cheese

Delightful restaurant with a deli and coffee take away section. The communal tables have plexiglass for safety. The food was delicious- especially the simple salad dressing. And goat cheese in eggs is genius. Great location close enough to walk to metro and notre dame. I enjoyed seeing the kitchen staff because it looked like the enjoyed their job. The wait staff have a sink in sight so you can see they wash their hands. Bathrooms were clean too.

Yummy brunch is in this photo.

We first visited Le Cartet for brunch a year ago and couldn't wait to go back on our next trip to Montréal. Both times, everyone in our party raved about the food. Best place we've been to for brunch in North America. Yes... I'm serious.

Loved this breakfast place in Montreal! Neat, clean and modern! The friendliest servers so early in the morning too! Food was fresh and came to our table so quickly! Our coffees were delicious. We ordered the Sante and the nordique. I can't say enough for how good it was. Such a nice surprise! A friend recommend this spot and I am so glad she did!!! And.... I must say the washroom was spot on. I have a little OCD so it was nice to see this up to par.

    Avocado toast with poached egg

I've always seen this place is super popular for the past couple of years so wanted to see what all the hype is about. It's a solid brunch place and does get very busy very early so make sure you come in early especially on a weekend. The service was very fast and prompt despite the larger number of patrons so that was great! I got the avocado toast with a poached egg which had a ton of sautéed vegetables on it. This was really nice since it added more flavour and was surprisingly very filling. It wasn't just a three ingredient item like some brunch places serve ;). Their poached egg was a great consistency. My partner got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which he said was quite good.

LAC BROME ($24.75 Nov 2022) (Duck Benedict)
    M S.

Had LAC BROME 24.75$ (Nov 2022) Basically duck Benedict. Benedictine eggs served on English muffin, orange hollandaise sauce, duck confit and onion compote with red wine, spinach, roasted potatoes, greens. The vibe inside is great. The menu is simple yet diverse. This is the perfect place for breakfast or brunch. No regrets. * I came at 1pm on a Sunday. They had run out of smoked salmon. So the NORDIQUE 25.00$ (Nov 2022) Poached eggs, smoked salmon, sesame bagel, cream cheese with pesto, capers, red onion, Spicy mayonnaise with smoked paprika, roasted potatoes, greens Was OFF the menu.

This restaurant, though it took a while to navigate to form our hotel, was worth the walk and more! We walked in and we're greeted warmly and got a cozy seat under beautiful decor and lights. The staff were wonderful, greeting us in both French and English, and chose a wonderful seat for us to dine. They did have only French menus, but using Google translate images helped. I ordered the Coupe Santé and the Dark hot chocolate, which were both of excellent quality and served in less than five minutes! We expected to be there for at least an hour, but we got our food almost instantly and was delectable. The dark hot chocolate was a bit strong and dark for my taste, but helped balance with the light and sweet Coupe Santé. I'd recommend this place for those for want a quick filling breakfast or a cozy place to relax and have a coffee.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.

I was on the phone trying to resolve the problem with Emergency Room doctors and lost track of the time. Minutes later, I cleared out of the room, which I left immaculate and ready to be sold to another guest. I departed the room well before the 4pm check-in time for new guests; I checked out just 2 hours late (literally it was 2 hours). They nonetheless slapped me with a $60 fine for this very small, very human error. It was one of the worst days of my life, I was in tears and begged them not to charge me. I am also disabled and they not only refused to remove the $60 fine, they also did not help me with my bags when my taxi came, they let me limp and drag my own luggage to the curb. I am beyond shocked at this cruelty and greed, at this utter lack of compassion and inability to relate to a fellow human being as anything other than a cash cow. I will never forget being treated this way when I was in distress. Also the breakfast is terrible and overpriced; the coffee was cold, the fruit was flavorless and dried out, there were few fresh and healthy choices, mostly ultra processed yoghurt and cereals, commercialized white bread. All for $25, way too much in a city with such incredible food. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, and I tried to resolve this both in person and on the phone subsequently and was met with cold indifference at every turn.
