    EGGSPECTATION OMELETTE

Service was really good with friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. We ordered the Chocolate Banana Crepe and my wife had the Eggspectation Omelette. Both really good and portions were enough to split if necessary!!

The food here is so delicious. I had the duck confit Benedict and it was incredible. Served with a salad instead of potatoes (although they are tasty as I had some of my sons!) Friendly service and cool location near the Place d'Artes. Cool vibes and lots of light.

We enjoyed a great breakfast at Eggspectation for our last meal in Montreal before heading home. Attentive staff with the food arriving quickly. So many great menu items that it was hard to choose! But everything we had was delicious, and we appreciated the fresh fruit that came with each dish. Great spot that I would definitely visit again for breakfast in the area!

Super cute artsy restaurant with great food and service. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. The fruit was really fresh and my omelette was delicious. I could tell the ingredients they used were non processed. Great location too. Dog friendly. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I had breakfast here around 9:30am on a Tuesday and there was no wait. One of the best breakfasts we've had in Montreal. I loved the burnt orange and cherry compote ricotta pancakes, and he enjoyed the smoked meat eggs benedict. Our server was friendly and had good recommendations. Very cute decor and a great place to eat.

We visited this restaurant several times during our stay at the DoubleTree. The food was great each time and the service was warm and friendly. The patio is a perfect spot to enjoy the atmosphere. They even lowered the shades when it was about to rain. I can't wait to come back.

Good food, great big portions. The decaf cappuccino was bitter but the server replaced it with regular coffee at my request. The crepe was so good and so plentiful. Eggs Benedict was very good. Nice place close to our hotel. Adequate seating Would recommend it to anyone

Great breakfast. I came with a couple of friends and we each tried something different. I got the French Toast with the Flambé fruit, one friend got the bacon and pear waffle and the other got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Everything was extremely tasty. To drink I got the Nutella Latte and my friend got the Maple Latte. I would definitely come back again.

For a place with the word "egg" in the name I probably should have expected the smell of egg to smack you the second you walked in the door. So if that doesn't bother you, youll like this place! The menu mentions a juice bar, we all ordered one, but turns out they were smoothies. They were delicious but more filling than we were wanting. Service was slow - super friendly, but slow. My meal came out a good 10 minutes after everyone else's. But the breakfast poutine was very yummy!

Eggspectation omelette is very tasty! Service staff is attentive and friendly! Location is perfect, next to our hotel and the performing arts center. Price is reasonable.

eggs were scrambled just the way I like. a little firm and slightly bitty. drink had a tang to it, not quite a smoothie but not as thin as a juice. overall one of the best meals in Montreal that I had!

The food here was so good! I had a huge breakfast which filled me up for the whole day. My husband had the ricotta and orange pancakes which he said were really good. Warning - the kids pancakes have ricotta and orange zest in them. Huh? It would be nice if the server had mentioned this. As a result, my son didn't eat them. Pancakes are one of his safe foods (he barely eats). The restaurant kindly took them off the bill, but it would have been nice to know in advance. We were visiting from Massachusetts while on vacation. Not sure when we'll return to MTL. I do recommend it though!

Eggspectation really wasn't anything more than a diner. We stopped by for a quick breakfast. The menu states that the eggs Benedict would be their speciality. However I've had better. The eggs Benedict came with very stale and hard potatoes and a slice of watermelon and pineapple. Overall if this wasn't a quick breakfast I would've opted out.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

This place deserves a review and it deserves positive recognition. They are versatile in their offerings, and healthy but not overdoing it. The decor looks grunge and vintage and opulent, but those salads come out looking top class. The wait staff are empathic and attentive to a variety of needs. Nobody seems mad about working there. I would assume many were customers first and then realized that this would be a chill place to eat. With my progeny, I almost made the mistake of eating in the Old Port. I mean, maybe chocolate crepes for dinner would have been more consumed than the healthier cheese and chicken alternatives at Chez Jose, but the relaxing vibe, and wholesomeness of it all, made me so relieved that I didn't settle for a tourist trap. The bread, with butter, is really yummy. It's white bread basically but it's so good. And the orange soup was outstanding.

I went a long time ago, back in 2021, and I was so happy to have gone again since they relocated to Old Montreal. The exterior is this new building, but inside, it feels like you're in an old building with rustic textures and colours. The ambiance is so lovely and it truly is the best place for delicious brunch items and taking cute pictures too! My friends and I visited on a Saturday morning without reservations, but we went relatively earlier. We were seated right away for a table of 4 and were served teas and coffee. I ordered the Bone Marrow & Duck Confit which consisted of a country-style bread, duck poached egg, bone marrow, confict duck leg, manchego shavings, herb salted crumble and green peas. It's a massive dish and honestly everything tasted amazing all together. The bone marrow was perfectly cooked and the duck poached egg meld everything together. They also give you another bowl so you can put the marrow once you're done eating it. The bread was needed to soak up every part of this delicious dish. Other items ordered was the Foie Gras (Chef's specialty) which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, caramelized onion compote and crispy proscuitto chips. The chips were a wonderful item to pair with the seared foie gras. The foie gras was perfectly cooked. The Rustic is another fan favourite which had brioche bread, duck poached egg, sautéed mushrooms. pulled pork, potatoes and argula sprouts. it is such a beautiful dish - nice colours, many ingredients and placed well on the plate; not to mention it was so good too! The last item was the Croque Monsieur which has country-style bread, maple-glaed Gaspor acon, confit tomatoes, cheddar, duck sunny side-up egg on an endive salad. You can't pick it up and munch on it, so you know how big this must have been! Even cut into pieces, it requires some maneuvering to munch on it. Great place for brunch. Awesome service too. I would highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a brunch spot!
