    Poutine, so yum.

This was one of the few places open for lunch on Christmas Eve and it looked inviting and warm. The space is open, airy, and gorgeous. The staff was kind despite our lack of French and the food was also great. Portions were generous with enough to take home. Recommend trying the Poutine Tout Cochon, the Caesar salad with chicken, and the Old Fashioned Hot Chocolate. Bathrooms were nice (and gender neutral single stalls, yay!). Definitely recommend - this was an easy walk from the Christmas Market as well.

I really love what they've done with the space. The restaurant looks beautiful and the seating is so comfortable and inviting. I've had dinner a handful of times here now and the service is great, the food is fresh, and the location is ideal. My favourite dish has been the seafood pie. It is packed with flavour and fresh seafood. The tartare is also good! The seafood roll is good but I wish they had a buttered option. The Kit Kat latte cold is a treat and they also have matcha not on the menu! It's definitely somewhere I would go again.

Our server was nice and respectful and help us explained the menu well in English and French! The food was excellent for our first time in Montreal filled with unexpected flavors that I'm not used to at home! The ambiance can work as both a brunch space and dinner with friends!

It's a beautiful place located near places des arts and I'm sure it's a vibe during busy times (thurs-sat) but the food is surprisingly lacking. It looks good, but for a luxury restaurant it chooses to be, it was underwhelming. The salmon tartar is what really made it to three stars....for Montreal it was embarrassingly awful and trust, I am not a picky eater! Otherwise, service was very accommodating considering we came close to kitchen closing time (along with other guests) and they allowed all of us to stay past closing time with no attitude. Very thoughtful. Also, beautiful bathroom design!

Perfect Brunch! I was in Montreal for a conference and was looking for a great solo brunch spot. Cochon Dingue was a winner! I sat at the bar and indulged. The restaurant has a great energy and is open and bright. The bar is spacious and has wireless phone chargers built into the bar and TVs. The servers speak both French and English and they were perfectly attentive. The Brunch Plate is a MUST. It has everything you could possibly want. I loved this restaurant and will definitely go back when Montreal.

We had a good lunch here on a Sunday. We ate lunch late and this is as one of few places in the area that hadn't closed to prep for dinner service, so we were very thankful for the ability to eat a late lunch. The decor is modern and a bit quirky, with flying pigs hanging from the ceiling. Our server was chill and good. I had the burger and it was good, a pretty standard burger. However, I asked to extra pickles and they definitely delivered! Also they had a curry mayo option as a sauce for the fries, and it was unique and delicious! My dad had the Philly Cheesesteak, which he said tasted good but that it was not a Philly Cheesesteak, more of just a smoked meat sandwich. It also said in the menu that the sandwich would come with au jus, but it was actually more of a gravy. My dad also had a side of poutine, which was a unique version but good. Overall a decent meal and just what we need at that weird lunch hour.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

I'm a fan of cocktail bars, and after reading up on this spot I made it my intention to check it out. It just so happened that it was a short walk from my hotel, so we decided to check it out one night before heading to dinner. The Cloakroom is a speakeasy, nestled behind a hidden door in a men's clothing shop. In the line of being a speakeasy, the space is small - there are only 24 seats but since we got there right at opening we were seated right away. The space is dark and intimate, with the bottles of liquor lit up behind the bar providing an attractive focal point. One of the more unique features of the bar is that there's no menu; we told our server the types of liquors we wanted along with the flavor notes and they crafted a cocktail based on our tastes. We ultimately had two rounds; my first drink was vodka-based and fruity, while I went with something gin-based and dryer. Both were very good - there's little fanfare with presentation; the bartenders let the drinks speak for themselves. Service was great; due to the setup, each patron is given extra attention which really highlighted the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Cloakroom Bar. This was definitely a unique experience with excellent curated drinks. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.

Being the Montreal Gran Prix weekend, the city exploded with crowds making it difficult to find a place with a patio and seating outside. Determined to succeed we found this place with the last table for two on the patio available. We were thrilled, as this place not only delivered in that department it was highly rated on Yelp. The place was bustling with patrons inside and out, but the service was outstanding with quick delivery of much needed beer with our food shortly there after. Bar Dominion is not just a bar with a long list of cocktails and a few beers, they have a nice selection of seafood and small plates. The menu here is not your typical "bar" food selection, but a selection one would find on a bistro menu. I ordered the Petite Bourgogne beer, which is a local red beer that was crisp and fresh. The Lobster Roll was the item that stood out for me and I'm glad I ordered it as it was super fresh and delicious. The buttery roll was perfect with the well seasoned lobster garnished with chives. The portions are also just right. The inside atmosphere was off the rails with an upscale atmosphere and the patio was quite different with atmosphere more suitable for conversation with ease. I really enjoyed this place and glad we accidentally discovered it. The only thing I regret is not trying one of their cocktails, as I learned after that the cocktails were created by a renowned mixologist, Andrew Whibely from Cloakroom Bar fame. This explains the very short offerings of beers.

Tucked away with a beautiful terrasse in the back, it's the kind of place you'd almost miss--but absolutely shouldn't. The service was fantastic from start to finish--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. The food was equally impressive. Everything we tried was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with portions that are just right. The beef and mushroom tartare was a standout--rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced--and the braised lamb cavatelli was simply outstanding. The lemon tiramisu for dessert was the best ive ever had. Overall, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back!
