The service was a little slow but the food was delicious yet they gave my 11 year old son was given a baby cup. I ordered a coffee and it was weak but the pancakes were not fluffy yet they were so good. My family thought the potatoes were well seasoned and delicious.

This still gets a visit from us every time we are in Montreal, service is always very pleasant, and the food is always quickly prepared, fresh, and delicious.

Very good went there with a friend of mine as we were looking for Poutine and since we were at Mc Gill and see what was around we decided to go there and Try it I got myself a good burger and an apple Martini which both were delicious he got himself a Poutine and loved I also got the Choco Loco as dessert and very rich and flavorful but definitely on the big side . Our waiter was very nice and spokes perfectly both English and French definitely recommend this place . Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that in my opinion bacon was way too crispy for my liking but otherwise wonderful experience

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a great brunch spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seems like a lot of the people from the business around the area come in for lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wait staff is very professional and gets you what you need. The crepes were amazing, and the potato's were incredible. My husband had the eggs Benedict and he said it was the best he has had so far . Great drinks.

"Margarita" Pizza overly doused with cheese, tasted off, each had a slice, 1/2 was left untouched.

Of all the spots we ate at during our 2 week Montreal stay, this was our least favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It like a nicely decorated Denny's, so we probably should've stuck with breakfast, but we stopped by for dinner and were seated right away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a Poutine and calamari for appetizers; calamari was ok had a subtle kick to it 5/10 Poutine was actually pretty good, the cheese curds were perfectly melted, fries were crisp not soggy, we all enjoyed it 9/10 For dinner, we ordered: -A margarita pizza: too cheesy and wasn't really a margarita, no tomatoes, flavor was off, more than half of it was left on the plate. 1/10 -chicken avocado club sandwich, bland, slightly soggy and unappetizing, had a 1/4 and left the rest since no one wanted to try it 1/10 -Veal marsala: recommend by the waiter, it was good, but came with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce as a filler which had no business being on the same plate, clash of flavors. 6/10 -Universal burger; dry, overcooked. There's a regulation to have beef cooked at 160 in Montreal, so even if you order it medium, they'll serve it well. Wish the waiter expressed that when we ordered. My son offered the rest of it to us which speaks volumes to how little he liked it. 2/10 Portions were large and generous. Overall we wouldn't go back and definitely not for dinner, if you're considering it, maybe stick with breakfast, but I'd stay skip the items we ordered, except for the Poutine The server was friendly and on it, the 2 stars were for the service and Poutine.

The place was next door to purchase hotel. Has sitting outside and inside. The portions are huge. We had a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their food. The Ambience inside looked good, but sitting outside on the patio when the weather was nice was my preferred choice. I definitely recommend it!

Large portioned breakfast at a commercial restaurant, similar feel to Allo! Mon Coco; wouldn't be surprised if it's operated by the same company. Early 2010s modern decor, tightly packed. Expert service by one waitress covering ~15-20 tables. Fine crepes, decent roasted potatoes.

I always wondered what kind of food they served at Universel, as I often walked by on Sainte-Catherine. To my surprise, it's a little fancier than I thought when I looked at the place from the outside. Very interesting menu diversity, you'll have the choice between Canadian, American and Italian food (and I think from even more places, but I don't remember).

Have eaten breakfast here three days in a row and going back for a fourth tomorrow and getting sandwiches to go for travel. Everything we ate was delicious- crepes, omelettes, vegan. Friendly and helpful waitress and support staff. Kitchen staff already prepared to make our sandwiches to go tomorrow morning for us. Plenty of seating even on a very busy Sunday morning. Wish we lived closer to here.

Ambience is a diner and service is quick. The food was terrible. I had bagel and lox and the lox was fishy, and bagel was not good.

We walked in and were immediately approached by a server so we asked to sit by the window. We both ordered a Steerburger with fries and coleslaw. My friend enjoyed hers and I kinda liked mine but the burger wasn't anything like it used to be. I got the impression there was something other than meat mixed in just by the texture. The curly fries were just like we remembered: crispy & light. Staff was friendly and accommodating l, but the initial server who took our orders forgot to tell us he was either going on break or had finished for the day because another server approached us later to take our order! We told her we had already put in our order. She apologized and 10 minutes later our food came out. Oops.

Friendly and funny and great, quick service. Food was terrific, hot chicken sandwich and cajun chicken sandwich. So flavorful and sides of coleslaw and curly fries were great too. My hubby had a nice chat with the owner as well. Don't know when we might get back to Montreal but we will definitely go back here if we do. We haven't even tried the beef!

Three of us shsred two Poutines. The Smoked Meat was especially good. We ordered it on the side because we were not sure if my son would like it; he loved it! The customer service was good. At the end, they gave my son an very long freezee, which he also enjoyed! There is a bar so they serve alcoholic drinks. Even their milkshakes can have alcohol for an extra $5. You can also reserve room if you are a big group. There's also a restaurant with various food that we didn't try. We didn't try the arcade, we ran out of time on our schedule but we will come back. The arcade work with a card where you accumulate point that you can spent on things in the gift shop. Like many arcade, the more token you buy, the cheaper the cost per token is. We took the combo that is 1 game of bowling, 1 game of laser tag and 1 round of mini golf. The bowling is with big balls. There's a little ramp for the kids or those that just need a little help. There's only one though so you have to share it across the 8 alley. The bowling itself is nice, alley are straight and clean. There's a wide range of ball weight that should be ok for everyone. The mini golf here is special. It's not a less put parcours, it's a most point. Point are done in 2 ways. Once you put, there's a 60sec timer. The time left once you enter the cup is bonus point. The other way is through the course. There's special tricks that you can do to earn extra points and even lose some. It's a very nice twist and it was fun. We ended with a game of laser tag. I saw the maximum occupancy is 28 players splitter in 2 or 3 teams. We were 6 and honestly, the room is small. Unless there's some hidden wall that get open for more player, I wouldn't see much more then 10 players. 28 would be over crowded for sure. For us at 6, it was perfect. One thing is the room itself is dangerous. Like many laser tag room, it's dark. The problem is they put some stuff like ramp but without anything to show you the edge or worst, they put some theming. Half of us were hurt by the stage. I myself trip, while walking slowly down one of those ramp where I though it was going in a specific direction but no. I ended up falling face first, scratching my knees and nearly broking my finger. My girlfriend opened her elbow while edging a wall and our friend got some similar stuff happened. Another thing is they don't really explain you anything beside how to shoot. There's a lot of stuff in the room that you can shoot and I never knew if it did anything beside some animation. Like a wall that seems like maybe a forcefield that would maybe disable enemy shield if they walk through? I don't know. The gun had 2 way to shoot, a long laser or a short range scatter shot like a shotgun. Was fun to be able to cycle through mode. We still had fun, but the state was dangerous in my opinion. It is a nice place to have a fun spend money. Kids will love it for sure and grown up too

Also they only have big pins which I'm way more familiar wiyth the small ones and would've been much better having the choice. Also Bowling shoes weren't necessairly the most comfy ones . When it comes to food I've been surprised as I took a poutine and a cheeseburger which I thought would just substitute my Fries but they served me my poutine with a large amount of fries on the side of my burger so thanks God we were a big group so my friends could've take some cause otherwise there was way too much to eat by myself .
