Excellent care of clothes -- but at a very steep price. I continue to return because I feel I can…read moretrust my better pieces to their care. Not your cleaners for every day items. Great customer service and very responsive to requests. I would not recommend having alterations done there. Perhaps it's a language barrier, or difficulty of the work, but two items were not done properly and the cost was exorbitant. The cleaners proactively offered to refund half of the cost of the alteration, but I will never wear the dress--which was new. FYI, I've always considered myself to be quality, rather than price driven, but find myself sensitive to both here.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. In advance…read moreof using their services, my husband & I went to their location & asked about their different services - laundering and pressing vs dry cleaning vs "wet" dry clean/organic dry clean. We were told that they could launder & press what we wanted except if the instructions said to dry clean. We were satisfied with that & happy we had the option to do the wet/organic dry cleaning for our dry clean only items. My husband returned a couple of days later to drop off our laundry and said to launder and press what they could as previously discussed. Our items took several days, after pick up we were charged for dry cleaning for every single piece - $12.99/item. When my husband called a manager apologized that they had dry cleaned his shirts when the instruction had been provided and they refunded those fees. However they said by default they *always* dry clean women's clothes. No matter what. Even if the instructions say to launder. Despite this never been having disclosed to us when we explicitly had a conversation about these services & prices in advance. Beware of a possible bait & switch, a pink tax, & damage to your clothes because a (very pricey) laundering service won't follow instructions. Instructions previously agreed with their customer and also explicitly written on clothing labels

I generally have very low expectations for any dry cleaners but I was pleasantly surprised at how…read morestellar my experiences have been with River Oaks Cleaners. I was not aware they were a local chain, but if all locations are this good, then consider me a sold customer. Things I love: * While folks can obviously drop off their clothes in store, they also offer a drive-thru. * They're open during weekends. This might not sound like a big deal, but many places are closed on Sundays. * They're hip to tech: There is an online account, email + text reminders, and the ability to pay via QR code or online in advance. * The prices are very reasonable. My sport coats / suit jackets are usually around $9 each, with $7 pants, and $12-17 for full on suits. * Serve cold water bottles and coffee are available. That's fantastic. * The service has been friendly and professional with every visit. Most of all they've always managed to get me exactly what I want and offer some occasional tailor services for damaged parts of any garment. Other places would charge for these services, but they seemingly do it because they want to. * Lastly, my clothes have been coming out looking very nice. This is above anything is why we go to places like this in the first place. I hope that they remain consistent in service and am already looking forward to my next visit. I really appreciate all the extra bells and whistles they've incorporated into making every experience into a special one.

It's very easy to make an account with them, drop your clothes off, track when it would be done, and pick them up when it's ready. My clothes ended up being ready about 2 days earlier than the estimated day that they had told me it would be ready by, which was a really nice plus. They are very friendly and greet you when you enter too. I think the service was fantastic! I will definitely continue to do my dry cleaning here, as they are located in such a convenient area and I was satisfied with their services.

I don't frequently get my wardrobe tailored, but I was so happy that I came across Trends Tailor…read moremainly because of how quick, fairly priced and overall nice and courteous the owner Andy was throughout my patronage there. The shop is clean, well-lit and has huge mirrors. There isn't much free parking nearby, but the short walk from street parking is manageable enough. I had a strapless dress with a fairly high split and was roomy in the top area. The dress had lots of sequins and feathers, so I was anxious on how he would make the alterations, but I soon learned to trust his professionalism and the dress turned out absolutely gorgeous! A week and $40 later, I was ready to hit the dance floor at my friend's Roaring 20s/Great Gatsby-themed birthday party.

It's worth noting that Andy specializes in alterations and tailoring and only does dry cleaning through a family connection as a side business. The shop is well lit, clean and has a large dressing room and mirrored wall for alternations. For dry cleaning, since this is not his main business, expect to wait about a week for pick up and to pay a little more. I dropped off my three items on a Thursday afternoon and left my cellphone number which Andy said that he would text when the items were ready. I never received a text so I waited a little over a week to pick up my items on the following Saturday afternoon. My items were ready when I got there and the dress that I dropped off with a few stains looked as good as new! I paid $7 an item which is definitely on the higher end but I was happy to see the quality of the work. Other notes - free parking is becoming increasingly scarce in Rice Village so be prepared to walk a few blocks during busier times of the day if you don't want to pay to park. Unfortunately no dedicated spots or lot.

100% would recommend Cindy's cleaners to get your wedding dress cleaned and preserved. I had 2…read morewedding dresses, one for my ceremony and one for my reception. One which I had cleaned and preserved, the other only cleaned. I was looking for local cleaners to clean and preserve my wedding dress after my wedding because I wasn't too sure how I would feel about shipping off my dress to a preserver (you know, the one you find when you google wedding dress preservation). Also, on top of that wanted to support local especially in these trying times. So I called around to local cleaners and was quoted at most places starting at $400+ until I called Cindy's cleaners. Cindy's cleaners was very upfront with the pricing and also provided me with the caveat that the pricing may change dependent on how much needed to be done to the dress to get it to a clean/preservable state. I paid $150+tax for the cleaning and $250+tax for the cleaning/preservation (including my veil!). Mind you the rates I paid are from 2020 and I did not have extensive damage to my dress that would require a deep clean (dresses are assessed and then charged so prices may vary depending on your situation). I dropped off my dress on 11/25/2020 and got a text message that it was ready on 12/17/2020, so the turnaround wasn't too bad. When I got my dresses back they were immaculately cleaned (the reception dress was a bit dirty and was pleasantly surprised by the cleaning) and the preservation box was really nice! They elegantly placed the gown with my veil wrapped around the front in a box that showed my dress and was then wrapped with their own cloth monogrammed cover. Also want to note that also reassured me when I was there was the fact that I saw a lot of other wedding gowns there being cleaned. That gave me a bit of confidence that they had the skills to work with bridal items (because you know that's a whole different ball game from regular clothes).
