Went to this restaurant and also its time out market counter. Loved both places and had a take out order today because it was too late to reserve a table for us. I did not sample much their drinks so my review is only relavant to their food. I absolutely love their sushi and salmon tartare and would highly recommend people who like Japanese food.

I personally came here on an invite and I loved it! I definitely thought it was worth the hype. Chef Phong Thach is clearly passionate about his menu and chose each item with care. What an ambiance; the resto-bar already had a great vibe as of 6pm on a Wednesday night. For dinner, we were invited to sit on their brand new terrace that seats 37. We were treated to a phenomenal Japanese tasting menu, which included: duck gyoza (a must!), Mr.Krab - a fried avocado topped with creamy seafood - and Forever 21, a beautifully presented salad with crispy noodles, cabbage, daikon, and carrots. And these were only the appetizers! For our mains, we enjoyed expertly cooked quail and edamame ravioli, and a delicious assortment of sushi rolls, including Fancy as Hell, OG, Eggplant, Bubba Shrimp, and La Vie en Rose. Very impressed with the unique flavour combinations. When we were thinking, "it can't get any better than this," we were served a fried apple pie gyoza served with vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious and delivered in flavour, texture, and presentation.

    Peach Aperol was amazing!

After seeing all the posts on Instagram, I needed to check out Le Blossom! First of all, parking was a nightmare. We were 35 minutes late to our reservation because we were circulating around to find parking but luckily they had our seats ready for us. The restaurant decor is absolutely gorgeous, the ambiance was great, music was very modern. My friend and I decided to order a bunch of plates to share. The cocktail we ordered was delicious. It took a little longer to receive our food but we didn't really mind. The plate presentation was so beautiful but if only the food tasted as good as it looked.. food was quite pricey and very average. I was really disappointed because I expected the food to be better than what it was. Theres a few sushi rolls we both didn't like at all. However the matcha desert was good.

I really like the glassware at this bar. It's atypical to what you usually see in other places. Their napkins are deserving of a shout out. It's super made from super thick paper that it's almost cotton like. They made a very great use of their mirrored wall. It gave the illusion that this place is much bigger than it is. I came here on opening day so it was quite busy. However, the staff was very attentive and kept following up on the wait time. There are only 5 cocktails on the menu and I tried 3 that night. I would say that most of tea based ones are compatible with my palette. The "Akira" (with chrysanthemum tea) is my favourite. It's a very light refreshing cocktail Although I kind of wished they would've shaked the cocktail instead of building it in the glass since the tea and the alcohol separated after a while. The cocktail with oolong tea is presented in the wooden box (where the wood is supposed infuse the taste of the alcohol). The concept was cool, but the box was leaking a bit. The peach based cocktail was very perfumed and didn't taste like it should be in a drink. The fried chicken is really tasty but for $9, I kind of expected for more than 3 pieces. At least give 4 so you won't have to fight with your date for the last piece. One thing that kind of annoyed me was that one of the kitchen staff had her phone placed in the middle of the cutting board. It just didn't seem very sanitary especially since they prepare raw ingredients on that board. Nonetheless I think this bar has great potential. It's on the fancier dressy side. I liked their infusion of more traditionally Japanese alcohol and mixers into their drinks. Come try out this gem before more people pack it for the night!

Cocktail: Trigun. A bit sweet for my taste but over all ok.

My friend and I followed the wave of hype and went to this "unique concept of a sake & handroll bar". The less than impressive review on here didn't deter us because we of course, we prefer to judge for ourselves. The place itself is beautiful. They describe it as a futuristic warm Japanese setting and it felt as such. We were sat under the tree which was perfect. Now, personnally, I came here with not-too-high expectations as I didn't want to be disappointed. However, it is disappointing that they didn't exactly surpass my expectations either. The food was ok, nothing to write home about but I'm not gonna focus on just the food because after all it's a bar...(?) For drinks, we took cocktails and the sake tasting platter. The cocktails were alright, not bad but not excellent either. The tasting platter however.... for the price I expected a little more, in quantity and in delivery. All we got was "this is the hot sake, this is the filtered and this is the unfiltered" which, quite honestly, was obvious if u just touch the cups and look LOL!!!! They should train their staff a bit more to tell us more what exactly we are tasting. This place definitely has potential. I would hate to see it sizzle away because of lack of oomph, originality and quality in service. I would recommend this place to someone who is a sake enthusiast because their sake list seems quite nice but personally I wouldn't go out of my way to come back if it stays this way.

Pro: -good decor -cocktails are tasty Con: -food is mediocre at best, and is overpriced for what it is -hard to get a seat Nice place to have a few drinks. Good spot for a date. Decent selection of sake. Choice is limited in terms of cocktail but they are good. Avoid getting food here. The choice is very limited. We had 6 temaki rolls, they tasted like sushi that can be purchased from a supermarket. The salmon tartar was ok, nothing special. They don't take reservations so expect to wait during evenings and weekends. I can't eat the decor so I probably won't come back to this place. There are too many choices out there that offer better food and drinks.

I was quite excited to try out this place since I've been seeing so many people posting pictures about their cherry blossom tree decor! The place itself is quite pretty and minimalistic, perfect for a date night. We started off with some cocktails, Ghost in the Shell, and a recommended warm sake, which were very tasty! We then ordered some fried chicken karaage, tuna and bubba shrimp sushi. The karaage was quite delicious, being flavourful, crispy yet juicy. The tuna sushi was okay, nothing amazing, however their bubba shrimp sushi was quite good, the shrimp tempura was still warm and crispy and the sauce topped with it paired well with the dish. We finished off with the matcha lava cake with ice cream, which was not heavy, not too sweet and delicious! Overall, the staff was quite friendly, service was good and the decor was very cute (Instagram photo friendly). They have a huge sake menu, and their cocktails are very tasty! The food was good, with the karaage and matcha lava cake being my favourite, but their sushi is pretty pricey for small portions (30$ for 13 pieces). Not my go to new spot, but I'd recommend this place to try for drinks and small bites!

Osso Bucco on a bed of cauliflower mousseline -- melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

For some reason, Montreal has always hosted very innovative Asian restaurants and Le Blossom is a prime example. I had an excellent meal there early Sunday evening: fresh raw scallop roll (with crunchy tempura, no rice) to start followed by their interpretation of "Osso Bucco" for the main (using pork hock) served on a bed of cauliflower mousseline. With a fine martini (local gin) and a very tasty chilled sake (their recommendation), it was a delightful meal made all the more enjoyable by suave service.

Such a beautiful Japanese bar at the gay village! I was attracted at first by the lovely cherry blossom tree center piece, but turned out that the whole experience at the Blossom was great! Yes yes you read well in the reviews, it is a pricey bar and there's a lineup in the weekend, but I find it totally worth it! First we took a bottle of sake (they have over 20 varieties of imports from Japan!) called Ozeki Nigori, which was creamy and floral, really great! Then we took the Plateau temaki with 4 rolls, the salad wakame and salmon tartar, everything was tasty! We had a great time at the bar and would definitely recommend it!

OK, where do I begin? This restaurant is so gorgeous. It is off the Beaudry metro on the green line, and it really is a five minute walk from the station. Now if you are walking by the restaurant you may not notice it at first, because from the outside it is very simple with just a sign that says Blossom, but once you open that door and step in... my goodness! It is one of the most serene, calming, beautiful & reasonably priced restaurant. We went for dinner on a Friday night, they open at 5 PM and we were able to make reservation for 5 PM because it gets so busy later on in the night(can stay for 2hrs). Now sometimes a restaurant might look pretty and not delivered the goods, but with Blossom we were so shocked and surprised on how delicious the food was, how creative the drinks were, and how lovely the staff was. We started off with this duck gyoza...I mean how could we think that magic was going to explode from those gyozas! So delicious! We chose a few different rolls to share and kept on adding to it. We did their sushi pizza (thin, not greasy or bulky), a few traditional and non traditional rolls, we came in with an appetite and left as happy as one can be! Please visit this cute, trendy and yummy spot:)

This place is absolutely beautiful, they done something very interesting with the decor. All the staff was really nice and they were always near if we needed something. They refill our glass of water several time. I was really impress with the food. We loved the sushis, the karaage chicken, the tempura shrimp, our drink and especially our macha cake with ice cream desert. I'm in love with this place.

Low quality all-you-can-eat standard meal with relatively pricy cost.
