So I will say my rating this low was initially based off of the pricing but I went lower after looking at the quality. I'll attach what I got below - but I don't feel like they are honest with the pricing. Somehow, a $35 service went to $106. I'll attach a pic of my receipt below but when I asked her to explain how French tips made the service go up $70. Her response was "well you asked for that" but like.... I feel like I got charged more than I should have. The front desk lady also said "well you didn't have to get French tips you could have just gotten your toes painted..." which yes duh I could have but I didn't want that. Also, I wasn't aware but apparently you can walk in and just say "just paint my toes", you don't have to pick one of the services from the menu? (I didn't know this but feel like that should be public knowledge). With all this and the quality coming out not the cleanest, I would not recommend this location. read more

I came here last week by myself after calling ahead to have a Russian gel manicure and pedicure. The pictures and location made me think this would be a nice place even though I had never been before. I walk in to see a young man asleep on one of the chairs right in front of the door. It seems he was related to one of the owners because a woman walked up to him and told him to make himself useful before he moved to the front desk and slept there instead. This was just odd and tanked my perception of value for this place. Somebody starts working on my pedicure and by the way she's handling the tools, I decided I didn't trust them with a Russian service and decided to do a regular gel pedicure and forget the manicure. When I asked to see the colors , I was brought just a few. When I asked to see more, I was told a lot of the colors are 'bad polish' I just wanted a light pink and that just was not available. The pedicure itself was good. She did a nice job and was very friendly. However, I ended up spending full price ($70 after tip) for what really was a discount experience. I truly would not have left such a tough review if the price came out to be what it was worth which in my opinion is about $45-$50. read more

I have been getting my nails & feet done for 33 years. I have gotten them done in different states, countries and cruise ships. This is BY FAR the ABSOLUTE BEST experience I've EVER had! I scheduled an appointment, online, around 7:30am. I decided to get my first Russian manicure w/ gel polish & Russian Pedicure w/ gel polish & acrylic overlay on both big toes because my nails were splitting. I arrived for my appointments at 9:30 on a Saturday and the place was beautiful, inviting, & clean. I was greeted by Lein (pedicure) and she was fantastic. She made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any time constraints. I told her I was in no rush, hadn't had my feet done in 2 months and really needed a relaxing self care day. Babyyyyy, the way this lady took her time on my feet! She is meticulous and I was in pure Heaven. My feet have never looked and felt so good. While Lein worked on my feet, Tina came in to work on my hands. She was also very detailed. I truly received spa level service. I just moved to Houston and this is definitely my new nail place! It's taken a while to leave a review but I finally have the time. I looked through multiple nail salons that were close by my job and came across Le Bijou. There were a couple nail techs that their work caught my eye but unfortunately they are no longer at this salon. The third nail tech that I found was Ily (literally I love you lol) and she was so cool, so laid back and just easy to talk to. I showed her what I was looking for and she said it can be done which made me very happy (I'll post of what I wanted and what I got)! They didn't turn out like I was hoping for but they were still super cute and I appreciated the work she did. I was going for a purple lilac color with flowers since my daughter's 4th birthday was the next day and I wanted to surprise her with them (she loves when I get my nails done). The only issue I had was the gel x. I have never received them before, I usually get acrylic with shellac and they last anywhere from 3-4 weeks. Within a week, 3 different nails were already lifting. I was extremely upset because I paid $70 for the gel x, plus $50 for the design/art/bedazzle things plus a $30 tip. So understandably, I was upset. This doesn't take away from the work she did, I loved the nails when I walked out. It's just unfortunate that this happened within a week. My pedicure on the other hand, took 2 hours... I've never had a pedicure take that long in my life. I can't remember who did my pedicure but she was so sweet, checked on me throughout the whole process which I appreciated, but the length of time it took, unheard of. It was just shellac nail polish... and I got the basic pedicure. I arrived at 4:20 and left around 7:30. Such an incredible time! Tammy was hosting an event for the salon and came over to show some local love and support! Immediately upon walking in to the beautifully decorated salon, was greeted by Tammy and the staff! They checked me and already had my reservation, so they knew exactly what services I wanted! I was whisked away to my chair, while passing all the great food and drinks Tammy setup for the event! Once seated in my chair, the ladies ensured I was comfortable in my chair, that the temperature of the water was just the right temp, and then took my drink order, of course I got champs!!! I got a mani and deluxe pedi, and it was wonderful. Both ladies paid so much attention to detail on my nails and toes! I was so relaxed and they had some great music playing in the background to just being the whole ambience into effect! After wrapping up my mani/pedi we took photos as the photo wall, and shopped at the pop up jewelry shop by NVSME! Visiting from Seattle and found this salon via Yelp. Loved the elegant bougie vibes from the pics so I was in. I didn't do my research and make an appointment with anyone specific bc I felt like I'd be walking into something guaranteed to be good, but not exactly. Customer service was on point, all of the staff were so friendly and I loved Chloe (salon dog) so much! My husband and I got deluxe pedicures and it was excellent from beginning to end. Highly recommend. I also got a gel manicure but it wasn't great. My nail tech (different person did my pedi) was super nice but less experienced, I could've done it better myself. She fixed a few things I asked for but I found more areas I was unhappy with on my way home but wasn't going to go back. I was told I could go back if anything happens (7 day guarantee), which is appreciated but I didn't. I just ended up cleaning up my nails on my own but they ended up lifting and chipping quickly, lasted 5 days. Overall, I would recommend this place but definitely request someone. I've taken a long break from nails and I wasn't as picky as I used to be but then I realize I need to be if I don't want to be disappointed and that's anywhere. I found this place on Yelp because I was just in the area. I've never had a Russian pedicure and this place offers them. I was a little skeptical because the prices but honestly it's sooooooo worth it! Lien did my pedicure and took her time and it was perfection! The care she took in making sure all the dead skin was gone and making sure my polish was nice and neat, really put it over the top. I want to start off by saying although, I did not have the best experience here, I don't think my nail tech is to blame. And everyone at the salon was very friendly and accommodating. I believe Le Bijou management needs to invest in more training for their techs or if a tech young/new, there should be someone to help guide or supervise them. I came in for a gel removal and a gel manicure and i noticed my nail tech did several things differently than what im used to at my usual nail salon. First she put cotton pieces on my nails and then poured acetone all over my fingers and used one piece of foil for each hand (because the cotton pieces were so small, most of the acetone pooled to the bottom of where the foil folded up, so my fingers were sitting in acetone for 15+ minutes). She started removing the gel polish from my right hand, but was taking so long my fingers on my left hand were starting to freeze from being soaked in the acetone. Once she removed all my gel polish using a drill, she changed to a very thin/sharp drill bit and started using the drill to drill away my cuticles. Immediately I noticed some pain, but since I've never experienced this before, I thought maybe this was a new technique and tried to endure the pain and distract myself by watching Netflix. However my nail tech constantly lost control of the drill bit and nicked almost all of my fingers. I would pull away my hand in pain, but since I didn't want my nail tech to feel bad, I didn't say anything, but I was bleeding from at least 5 fingers after she tried to drill off my cuticles. She didn't even offer to clean or sanitize my cuts, and only did so after I asked her to. Then she only sanitized one cut, and I had to ask her to sanitize all of them. Then I asked she cut my nails shorter, but keep the rounded shape. Instead she filed my nails into a sharp claw shape, but once I brought this to her attention she quickly fixed the shaping. However, there are still sharp edges which she didn't file down on the side of my nails. Then she sprayed some alcohol on my nails to prep for the gel, she seemed shocked when I pulled my hand back in pain, and asked me what happened. Then when she was buffing my nails, she also ended up buffing my cuts, which was painful and made them more irritated. The rest of the manicure was fine. They were very accommodating about the color I wanted (1 coat funny bunny, two coats put it in neutral) and the color turned out really well. Then my nail tech put lotion and oil on my hands, but used too much oil and I had to ask for a napkin at the front desk. Overall I'm giving Le Bijou a 2/5 star rating and not a 1/5 star rating because of how friendly the staff were and they did had to stay open late because of how long it was taking my nail tech to finish my manicure and I'm happy with the color. However the experience was not worth it, and I don't think I will be back. I've been cleaning and sanitizing my fingers every day, but they are still irritated and painful, so I will not be coming back. I hope this review helps others read more

I attended a UYE at Le Bijou a few weeks ago (thanks again for hosting, Tammy)! I was able to make an appointment online for a mani and pedi. The party was already hopping when I arrived. I was greeted immediately and served a watermelon mimosa! Talk about fantastic service lol. I went with the basic mani and pedi. I didn't get the names of the techs that worked on my nails, but both were very nice. I don't do manicures often, but I was in desperate need of one. I have sensitive cuticles so I get nervous when they trim them because I always seem to get knicked or cut. Unfortunately it did happen on my ring finger, but I didn't even feel it until the tech was cleaning off the excess polish. She put some antiseptic stuff on it so hopefully it will be fine. I love the color of the polishes that I chose (both OPI which is one of my go to nail polish brands). The service throughout my entire visit was great. Different staff members made sure our glasses were kept full and that we were doing okay. I appreciated Simon's help with choosing nail polish colors. As I was finishing up my mani, Nikki the owner came over to say hello. She's very sweet and her salon is so beautiful! We were fortunate enough to get a discount as part of the UYE, but if you check in on the app, you can unlock a 15% discount for first time customers! You're reading this wondering why I enjoyed it so much, well let me tell you ABOUT THE SERVICE! Walking in Tammy was meetin' and greetin', and the staff were super nice, and they were everywhere. There was food. There were drinks. There were free passes for the kickboxing place next door. There was a jewelry pop up with NVSME. Nikki and her people were all over the place taking care of the group. Superb service! I had a 1p appt, they brought me in early since I rolled in a wee bit before. Ariel was working the hands. She did a good job. Danielle was working the feet, and she was so patient with my inability to sit still. I can't help that my feet are a bit sensitive when someone is scratching em, like a dog behind the ears. Luckily no one got kicked. And she was a pleasure to chat with throughout. They brought Sheryl in to work on the callus of my hands. She was also great to talk to and had good tips for keeping my skin game on point. All of the staff that were chatting, working on my limbs, or helping out all around were great. The facility has been open for three months or so, and it's super clean and relaxing. I'm not one to leave bad reviews or reviews in general but I had to. I had been pretty happy with this nail place being new to Houston and all. Mia typically does great work. I went in last week and unfortunately, one of my nails broke. I called at 2pm asking if Mia could see me and I was told she wouldn't be available until 4:30 which was fine but then I called back to try to reschedule it since I had errands to run and I knew it was going to take a minute to fix the nail. I was then told no she could fit me in at that moment so I went in. I sat there and waited for about 30 minutes before she came to do mine now since she was already working with someone. She then comes to me and begins to work on my nails and it's looking pretty good but I can tell she is rushing the process. After I take a look at it, the gold does not match, and the design is clearly bulky and ugly compared to the other nails. She just left and began working on her other client. The front desk girl, who I spoke with over the phone just apologized for the rush and botched work and still had the damn nerve to charge me 7 bucks for a nails that is clearly ugly, rushed and not matching the rest. All I was given was a sorry and just looked at me all scared for speaking up. I referred people here and praised Mia and the shop on their work and professionalism but after today, I will not be returning or referring people. read more

However, I'm not sure if the website is updated because I didn't get the mask & I also didn't get the paraffin wax, & the 7 minute massage was really just the time it took for her to rub out the lotion & I was most excited for that ): & I'm pretty sure it was just warm water instead of the milk and honey soak, but that was no biggie to me. I've been a few times to get my nails done. It's a little pricey for a full set with a French tip and a basic pedicure with shellac. I paid like 190 not including tip they charge like $20 for shellac/ gel polish Dani did my full set both times I went and both times my nails look amazing. However, my pedicure was done by two different people and the first time it was done it chipped multiple times within a two week span the second time I've had no issues so overall, the experience was good, but I'm not sure the lemon is worth the squeeze. read more

I went in for a spa pedicure and a basic manicure on a weekday morning. I was the only person there. Kind of cold and sleek atmosphere, all white and chrome and shiny. First odd thing was that they didn't have OPI polish available. I'm not sure what brand they use, but about a week and a half later it was chipping off my toenails. Which has never happened to me before. Other than that, the pedicure was just okay. The first issue I had was that they person they assigned to do my basic manicure obviously was very new and untrained. The manicure should have taken 20 minutes according to their menu, but she didn't know what she was doing. Another person had to come over and start working on my other hand so I wouldn't be there all morning. As it was it ended up taking almost an hour. To top it off I had requested no polish and to just buff my fingernails. She buffed and buffed and kept stopping to poke at my cuticles some more. How in the world did a 20-minute manicure end up taking that long? The next and worse issue was when I went to check out, the total was a higher than what I expected. According to their menu online those two services should have been $65. I was so exasperated that I just paid and left. Only to finally figure out that they had charged me extra to buff my nails. I have NEVER been charged for that at any other nail salon I've been to. I won't be back. read more

This was my first time at Le Bijou. This is a new location and it was very easy to find. The salon was very clean and customer service was quick. My nail tech, Rena, asked me for nail inspo pictures and worked with Nikki to decide the best colors for it. She paid special attention to create my desired shape and deliver the look that I wanted. I enjoyed that she took the time to make sure that my nails were straight and that the shape was consistent. Despite the fact that I came in close to the end of the day, I didn't feel that my manicure was rushed. Rena and Nikki were both extremely friendly and easy to conversate with. Well... I walked in the salon the first time to get my nails done everyone was experience and welcoming. I am very picky when it comes to my nails and sensitive about hygiene plus I'm afraid of some of the machines but they made it very comfortable for me and they've even respected the fact that I don't like the machines for my nails to be buffered and it was manually done.
