This spot could easily be renamed: "Alvera Body Wrap & Wellness Spa-aaah!"…read more Excellent firm pressure massage by Karen. Great, relaxing vibe and she's very responsive to... well, everything. You want the table a little warmer/ cooler? Got it. Want to lighten the pressure in certain areas? Sure, no problem! Curious about how 'x' pain connects to 'y' limb? You'll get an accurate, thoughtful response. Lights lower, music softer? She's on it. No stress added that I arrived a couple minutes late. She apparently had time, so she tacked those couple minutes on to the end and I got as many minutes as I actually paid for - that's always super appreciated! It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. My 82 yo mom loves it here, too. There's a plethora of skilled service providers and lots of face, body, general wellness treatments to choose from.

I asked for deep tissue, and she must've taken that as a personal challenge because WOW. This wasn't a massage, this was an exorcism of knots. Andrea's hands were like tiny sledgehammers sent straight from the gods of relaxation. She found tension in muscles I didn't even know existed -- I think at one point she was negotiating peace treaties between my shoulder blades. Now, don't get me wrong, it hurt so good. That perfect combo where you're thinking: "This is slightly painful... but if she stops, I'll cry." By the end, I felt taller, looser, and about three stress levels lighter. Pretty sure I left the table speaking fluent dolphin. The spa itself? Super calm, smells amazing, and has that soothing music that makes you wonder if you've accidentally wandered into a yoga retreat. Add Andrea's superhuman strength and skills, and you've got a winning combo. So, if you're ready to have your stress kneaded out of existence (and maybe discover a new pain/pleasure threshold along the way), ask for Andrea. Just don't schedule anything too ambitious afterward -- you'll be too relaxed to function.

Panacea Luxury Spa - Couples massage was great!

My sister and I came to Panacea Luxury Spa from out of town for a mom's weekend away, celebrating…read moreour birthdays this past weekend. I called in September 2025 to get our services booked (tried to get something earlier but they didn't have availability for a couples massage until December - we wanted to do a massage together) Upon arrival we were greeted by super friendly employees who helped us finish our paperwork (we had multiple services and had to do the same paperwork for each service we signed up for and didn't realize it). After paperwork we were taken on the grand tour and then taken to the locker area where we changed into robes and sandals before our day started. The locker area was very small and LOTS of people. We started with manicures and pedicures and my technician Aryn was INCREDIBLE!! So kind and so fun to chat with and get to know! Following our mani/pedi we enjoyed the amenities - where we did the sauna, cold plunge pool, whirl pool, eucalyptus steam room, and enjoyed ourselves in the quiet area. The amenities were amazing but definitely small for the amount of people they booked services for. The pool area was VERY slick and I felt like most of the time if you couldn't find the workers for a drink refill or question you could find them squeegeeing the floors to prevent them from being so slick. After our 2 hour break between services we were ready for our couples (aka friends) massage. However when I was called back my sister was not brought back with me. We said we thought it was the couples massage to which Robert (the therapist) responded, "are you guys a couple?" It made for a very uncomfortable situation and feeling to start my massage experience. He then explained the 2 couples massage rooms were booked and there was no way to accommodate. That was completely fine but we had ZERO idea prior to that moment. Upon checking out we also learned that the complimentary beverage for each of us was also not granted since we didn't have a couples massage - I tried explaining that I booked the couples massage and was expecting that and the free drink and the person checking me out just replied with "you are expected to pay for services and drinks in which you receive" and then repeated all the things I was being charged for. I was simply trying to understand why we didn't get the services we initially booked and she must have not understood or cared to understand. Overall it was a beautiful spa and I can assure you, you won't find another like it - however for the price paid, time I waited from booking to getting the services and then not receiving the services nor the free drink like I booked was really off putting & disappointing when I paid over $450 for this experience.

Reception was super friendly and even fit my first visit in on a same-day appointment. Both visits were performed by Montana. I was given plenty of time to get changed and comfortable without feeling rushed or taking too much time. A ground-level heater made the massage table comfortable. It was also nice to finally find an LMT that used a reserved amount of oils/lotions so you didn't feel like you were walking out of the spa covered in Crisco. Montana asked me about problem areas and focused efforts on those muscle groups, applying just the right amount of pressure, checking in throughout to make sure everything was just right. I've tweaked some things in my back at the gym and these last few sessions have really helped. This is my new go-to spa for massages. It's ease to book the same week which works really well with my schedule. Montana and the staff are awesome!

Our experience was okay- not bad but we weren't wowed by any means. The location was nice and cute going for a quaint spa vibe. There's some light snacks, water, coffee, and tea. It wasn't brought to our attention that there were showers, sandals, or additional post service accouterment like razors, combs, lotion, hair ties, dry shampoo, etc. It would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could come prepared. We were told about the robes available to use so that was nice. I've never had a maternity massage so I can't compare it but it was nice. Took a little trial and error to get comfortable. They offer a bolster to allow you to lie on your stomach. I think perhaps it's better suited for someone not so far along, or just with different anatomy. The hole for my stomach did not feel deep enough and I felt pressure on my belly which was uncomfortable. My masseuse was gracious to work with me to get comfortable on my side and had a bolster to lie on my back as well. The "scalp treatment" was pretty basic and left much to be desired. I think they put peppermint oil on their fingers and then push your hair around your head. It absolutely was not worth the time or price we paid. I kept my opinions to myself as I tend to be a tougher critic than my husband but as we left he mentioned his thoughts on the "scalp treatment"- his words were I could have done without that- the hair dresser does a better job- I agree. We usually go to Panacea Spa but they were booked so a friend suggested Woodhouse Spa. It's really difficult to compare the two as Panacea is a true luxury experience albeit with a price tag to match. With our scalp add ons we paid almost the same as we would have at Panacea and by no means was it a paralleled experience. We might consider trying a basic massage service again but certainly not our first pick here in Columbus. Not bad just not amazing.

I sprang for a "journey" package which included a few things that I will outline below: 90 min Higher Realm CBD Massage - Dale was fantastic. They made sure I was comfortable and communicated well through the process. It was a bit more movement than I've experienced for a massage before but found it really quite enjoyable. Aura Photography Reading - Lex was kind and listened to what I had to say and used both that information and my photo to dive in deeper to my life. Obviously it's all a little "woo woo" but there are certainly learnings that can be taken from it. I love card readings because they help me critically think about things. She was great and I would love to come back and see if and how my reading changes in 6 months - 1 year. She seemed very knowledgable. Infrared Sauna - This was the part I wasn't very excited about but it was super pleasant. There are different options that change the temperature and the run time of the sauna. My cycle was for "pain relief" which I found to be hot but not to the sweating point. Included was a CBD gummy as well as a glass of kombucha. No way I can afford this on the regular, but I would totally return for special occasions or once a year as a lil treat.
