I received a coupon for one free sauna session. I needed to beat the winter blues and booked my appointment right away. I was able to get in the next day with no trouble. As I was leaving the house to go to my appointment, I was called by a staff member who informed me that their systems were down and I needed to reschedule. I chose the next day. Upon my arrival I was kindly greeted by Kylie who checked me in. After completing a few pages of paperwork, I was given a brief tour of the facility and directed to my sauna. It was a very relaxing session and I highly recommend to those needing a good detox. After my session, I showered and changed and Kylie informed me that I had another free session due to the unexpected cancelation. Overall, this facility is so clean, calm, and welcoming. My original appointment had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather last week. That was completely fine and understandable as Ohio weather is unpredictable. My new appointment was supposed to be rebooked for the EXACT SAME SERVICES as my previous appointment (infra-red sauna session, 90 minute massage, sugar scrub and salt halo therapy). However, when I arrived to my appointment, I was told it was only scheduled for the 90 minute massage, scrub and salt therapy (no infra-red sauna session). When I asked about the sauna session, I was told that I was not booked for the service. I reiterated the details for my previous appointment and what services I had booked previously so I asked why it had changed. The front desk associate then checked me in and stated I could use the infra-red sauna but it would have to be after my massage (not before as I had previously scheduled). I thanked her for adding the sauna service and then was provided a tour of the locker/changing room. Once the tour was completed, I was told I had the option to change into their supplied robe and sandals while I waited. I did just that and was then informed that it would be about 5-10 minutes. About 20-25 minutes go by and I'm still sitting there. This sitting area was busy and very noisy. Therapists are in and out and the area is full other patrons. It was a uncomfortable sitting there in my robe with gentlemen walking by and the lobby door was also open, so it was noisy. While I'm sitting there I overheard my therapist say that she doesn't know how to use the salt halo therapy machine and that she should have been given instruction on it. That definitely made me feel even more uncomfortable and uneasy as I don't think she knew I could hear that. She then given a brief 2 minute instruction on the machine and off to the room I finally went. The Salt halo therapy machine is only on for a little bit of time and during that time it was just blowing into the back of my therapist's head while I was getting the scalp and facial portion of massage. I felt like it was a total waste of time and definitely not worth the extra charge. My massage concludes and it was only 60 minutes, not the 90 I had scheduled (another disappointment). I was led to one of the saunas and was told that i would need to turn it on myself but was not provided any instructions. I eventually figured it out but was only able as I overheard another patron be provided instruction while I was left waiting in the lobby earlier. The sauna session also ended earlier than scheduled (15 minutes) when I had signed up for 30 minutes. Also, the heater in the women's bathroom stunk like it was burning/smoking and there were no paper towels to dry my hands. The staff was informed earlier by another patron of the burning smell and when I reported it that were in the process of turning it off. I really wanted to like this place and support a local business that is not part of a large chain. But, my experience was the total opposite of the previous positive reviews and I was very disappointed and underwhelmed. read more

Codi was amazing! Like stated in a previous review, do not be fooled by her soft voice and little hands.. she has quite the strength for a deep tissue massage! I had a 90 minute massage with her, and although I was not crazy about $170 for 90 Minutes.. she made it worth every penny! When they say they believe in the full 90 minute massage.. they believe in the 90 minute massage! She concentrated on all my problem areas. A bit pricey massage- but I did not ask the cost before I booked- and believe the services were on par and well deserving of 5 stars. After all, you do get what you pay for!! Probably an ok massage for many people . If you ask for a deep tissue therapist, good luck. They tell you all therapists are trained in deep tissue and capable. Not true . Most of these places do not have serious deep tissue therapists . Mine did not , despite claiming so. read more

Absolutely incredible! Over the past two months I've visited twice while my wife has once. We both absolutely love the level of service at Thrive. First of all, this is a family owned local business. This isn't your typical franchise (not going to naME any names)! While Thrive is located in a strip mall, the interior will fight you on that. Very clean, very cozy, very relaxing. The owner always seems to be at the front desk to welcome everyone and explain all the perks of Thrive, including the 2001-esque futuristic infrafred saunas. i have yet to try one of these, but they always seem to be full when I visit, so that must say something! I've been with (worked with? massaged by?) two therapists so far, and both were fantastic. My most recent visit was my first appointment with Codi; she was out of this world. I have found a therapist for life! Specifically, my feet and arms have never felt as good as they did leaving Thrive today. What else can I say? Thrive offers free showers/robes/slippers after a massage, along with a lounge and water. As long as they are in business, they will receive mine! read more

I was highly impressed with Susan (the owner) and her team's passion, knowledge, and commitment to a very personal approach to relaxation and healing. I had never experienced full spectrum infrared light therapy, but it was extremely relaxing and promotes the benefits of weight loss, heart health, cellular detox and pain relief. Attended their recent Galentine's event with my best gal pal and had the BEST time! Received a session in the infrared sauna, an hour deep tissue massage, rose petal foot scrub, and a mini facial, all for a very reasonable cost. We were also treated to a juice of our choice and some yummy treats. The entire staff was professional, friendly, and extremely accommodating. I got a 60 minute massage and did not feel like the therapist did a very good job for what I am used to. And I paid over $100 for this massage plus the tip. I was told you have to wear a mask so a few hours before my appointment I called and asked if you had to wear a mask and they said yes so I told them I wanted to reschedule my appointment to a different Day because I did not want to wear a mask getting a massage and The receptionist told me they were still going to charge me 50 some dollars because I was rescheduling my appointment. They should let you know upfront you have to wear a mask just like everybody else let you know you have to wear a mask to walk into the building. This is not a place I would ever go back to him and like I said way too much money for the service. read more

The facility itself is well managed and never crowded, with serene white spaces and privacy screens giving you the feel of a personal spa. The LMT's are all very highly skilled in the various and unique types of massage, and are very attuned to the needs of the visitor. My favorite service is the combination of lying down in the infrared sauna for 30 minutes on the relaxation setting, prior to having a 60-minute massage. This was just one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had at a spa. I went in for a hot stone massage. The stones were heated in a crock pot and apparently (per the therapist) were supposed to be heated in some special hot stone heater. They were not very hot and were not hot at all by the time the massage was half way through.The therapist was very anxious and seemed very stressed out. The entire massage stressed me out. The room was freezing because there was a fan on. Every couple minutes or so, she would get a new stone out and all I could her was the pot and lid and stones being tossed about while she tried to find a stone hot enough. It was very unprofessional . They offered the sauna room to me for free because the massage was so terrible. But then I went to leave and they gave me some "free sauna" coupon that they apparently give out anyway. I almost had to just laugh. Definitely won't be going back. read more
