I can't rave enough about my wonderful myofascial release therapy with Aimee. I suffered a…read moreTraumatic Brain Injury many years ago and really need therapeutic massage and other kinds of therapy to remain drug and surgery free to have a normal life. I was never expected to function as well as I do today and it is all thanks to the more holistic health care I get with Modality. Aimee has introduced sound bowls and sound tuning forks that produce sounds and vibrations that reduce inflammation and help to calm my brain from sending bad messages to muscles in my body. It is truly a gift to have calmness restored in my body without resorting to medications that are toxic to kidneys, liver and other parts of the body and additionally I have no side effects that cause discomfort either! Aimee has taken the time to explain the process, help me to acquire tools that allow me to then be able do some therapy on myself between sessions. Aimee's long background in numerous techniques helps her to find the ways that specifically help you, based on your unique needs for relief. Like shoes, one size does not fit all, but a willingness to try some thing new can open doors that, at least for me, I thought would never open. I eagerly look forward to each session, and they continue to make a tremendous difference in my life.

Inner Connections is in Victorian Village and is a collective of healing arts practitioners…read more Although Victorian Village can be intimidating for parking, they do their best to make it stress free. There is a little, but not crowded parking lot in back where I was able to find parking both times I went. They also will cover street parking. Inside it is clean, peaceful, and well decorated. Suzi Wilkoff who I saw was spectacular! She does The Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage (for fertility and other benefits) and John F. Barnes Myofascial Release (for structural optimization). She is very kind and thoughtful. She also is a teacher at heart and freely shares a multitude of resources for her clients. You feel safe while you are there and come out feeling well cared for which is important, especially if you are struggling with something as discouraging as fertility struggles or persistent body aches. Her art is a little unusual (don't go in expecting a regular massage), but highly beneficial. Inner Connections is perhaps a fitting word because I felt like she gave me the inner tools to find my own path to healing. Not all practitioners are so generous. Though a blink of an eye, my visits there will not quickly be forgotten.

I figured it couldn't hurt considering I'd tried just about everything else for the pain. I called and was able to get in within a couple days with Hannah (who specialized in exactly the type of massage I needed). It was $65 for a full hour for a trigger point massage and it was so worth it. If you're having any type of pains or need a specialized massage, I highly recommend trying out Inner Connections.

If anything, the martial arts side of her makes her an even better massage therapist, as she has a great mastery of the anatomy of the body and knows where most people will have tight/sore/injured areas. She has such a warm, soothing presence, listened carefully to all my trouble areas, and gave a professional massage that was way above the standard ones you will get at chains that have all the fancy lobbies and knickknacks but less-trained folks. Highly recommend Rebecca and her small business!

The vibe of the spa is very nice and relaxing - I enjoyed the area to sit before and after my service and the changing rooms were clean. My massage was less than 80 minutes and my add ons were incorporated into my less than 80 minutes. My "deep tissue" massage was more of a Swedish medium tissue massage - I still had tension in my right calf (I get Charlie horses here sometimes and it flares as I work long ER shifts) and my back could have been worked out more. The massage itself was not worth the mark up and there are other spas that have better pressure & a significantly cheaper price. Left feeling like the massage was not worth the price and slightly disappointed.

The one different aside from Grandview being larger than Dublin is that Grandview didn't offer champagne prior to the massage like Dublin does. The lighting was dim, it was beautifully decorated, the couches and chairs were super comfy with the warm blankets, and there was tea/coffee/water/trail mix to enjoy prior to my massage. Ashley did a wonderful job on my massage. She made sure to ask me how much pressure to do, and if there was anywhere I needed her to focus or anywhere I didn't want her to focus. It was very calming, and the entire staff was extremely professional and kind. I will be back!
