I was shocked that a 30 minute massage could make me feel so great! I highly recommend going to Sean's Massage Center. The staff are friendly and great at what they do. OSU STUDENTS DO NOT GO HERE! IT IS A SCAM! The place and people who work there are sketchy! The massage therapists are terrible! The massage rooms are cluttered, the music is not relaxing, and the overall environment is weird. They told me that I would get "complementary acupuncture" completely free-no charge and then I get an explanation of benefits that stated I had the patient responsibility of an amount to be paid! They never answered their phone for me to call and argue this. I then receive a call after my review was posted on here of them asking for me to remove my review because I would not be billed. Since I did not remove my review, I then received a text with another message to remove my review. I told them I would report them to authorities if they continued to contact me. Would not recommend to anyone! Go somewhere else! Do not waste your time!!! read more

If I could give Zero stars, I would. Our experience with Sean's Massage Center was by far the weirdest and worst experience I've ever had with a group of "professionals" I've ever had. Here are the details: So, my wife is pregnant and we chose to take a relaxing weekend trip to Columbus without the kids before number three comes. We showed up at 11:50 for a noon couples massage appointment. We filled out some paperwork and waited 20 min while the staff awkwardly scrambled around to get a room ready for us which was a weird business-like office room. Upon entering the room my wife was given a robe with stains on it. The masseuse "was not sure if it was clean or not" and (after prompting) gave her a sheet instead. Upset, my wife made it clear that it was ridiculous that they were going to have her wear a DIRTY ROBE. THEN, to top it all off the woman asked my pregnant wife to stand up and remove her sheet in front of her male coworker to reposition it with no attempt to have him leave the room. Sure to expose herself, my wife sternly declined and said, "NO WAY, you want me to take off this sheet so he can see my boobs!? You people are so awkward...this is so weird... can he leave the room!?" The male masseuse finally left the room. While my wife was re-iterating how unprofessional the whole experience was and repositioning her sheet the woman masseuse told us to leave. She said "Okay, I'm done! You guys can get dressed and leave." So we did... But wait! There is more! On our way out I remembered that I had given them all my information. Name, Email address, Phone number, credit card info, ect. So I let the front desk lady know that I would like all of that paperwork back. The woman masseuse stepped in and SCREAMED at us and told us "No, that is ours now! BYE!" and slammed the little glass sliding window in our face. So we knocked again telling them that we would like to speak with Sean. Sean was not there. So I called Sean. No answer. I called the police. While I was on the phone with the police, we got ahold of Sean and he instructed them to return our paperwork and we left. Two days after the incident, I am shaking writing this because it makes me so mad. The actual opposite of a relaxing experience... and a waste of an hour on our "baby-moon" Moral of the story: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS / MONEY. read more

I was desperate looking for someone to help me with my pain. I had been experiencing pain in my lower back that wrapped around to my abdomen and thighs. I went to the ER and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. It took one session with Jen for her to figure out that there was something slightly out of place in my lower back, causing the strain. Took my pain down from a 5 to a 1 after one session. Jen is amazing and completely professional. I definitely plan on going back! read more

First things first: The medical massage service itself is great. I couldn't have been happier with the service and the results of therapy that I received. I had misplaced ribs that were painful and after several intense weeks of therapy--no displaced ribs. The reason for the rating however, is due to the terrible business practices and financial accounting. After each visit, I went to pay--each time Jin told me "pay what you want, Sean doesn't care what I charge." I found this odd and kept pressing for my account balance. I was then told a variety of excuses from "I don't know what your insurance covers" to "the computer is not working today due to a power outage". Ok. Fine, I get the insurance part. I paid what I thought was appropriate and then assumed that I would get a bill in the mail for what I owed, as is customary after an appointment for medical reasons. Fast forward several months--I get a call from a debt collection agency wanting 3k for not paying my bill! That's right--NO followup, NO calls, NO mail, NO contact at all from Sean's--direct to debt collection. I would have been MORE than happy to pay if I had only been given the balance of what I owed. Moral of the story: Avoid Jin, and avoid medical massages from Sean's. Only do the payment up-front options, but beware that they might screw you there too. read more

Sean does excellent deep tissue massage and consistently helps ease the pain and tenseness that builds up in my neck and back from my work environment. I go to him for therapeutic, deep tissue massage, to loosen my knots and relieve pain, and that's exactly what he provides. Going regularly has considerably lessened the pain I've been in over the last few years, and I can't imagine going without a monthly massage from him now that I know how much better I feel when I go to him regularly. I've had issues at other places with "deep tissue" not being deep enough for me, and that's never an issue with Sean; he listens to what I need and the deep tissue massages are perfect! read more

Sean's Massage Center has really convenient hours for students and working adults and accepts my SHI through OSU. Whenever I go to get a massage, I walk out feeling not only relaxed, but like some lasting good has been done on my muscles. read more

While this business is a great value for the money, the massage technician I had was extremely chatty, and about topics that I'd rather not discuss during a massage (i.e. politics, gun violence, etc.). She was also very eager to tell me allllll about herself, which is okay, but again the appointment is not for her to be talking the whole time about herself. She was good at the massage, but when the massage was over she administered acupuncture needles without communicating to me that she was going to do so. You sign a consent waiver when you begin treatment there, which apparently means they can use any type of treatment on you without even communicating with you or asking if you'd like to receive said treatment. I did not sign up for an acupuncture appointment and had a panic attack at having needles put into my skin without my prior knowledge. An experience that was supposed to be relaxing was highly upsetting and I found myself more stressed upon leaving than when I came in. read more

My back has never felt as loose as it does after going to see Sean for deep tissue massage. I'd never really had a professional massage before, and I was a bit skeptical about the whole "stranger touching me" thing, but my neck and back had been hurting badly enough that I decided it was worth trying. I'm so glad that I did! First of of, Sean is very professional, and it wasn't creepy or strange. But even better is how GOOD he is at what he does! Also, second best part (besides being able to move my head from side to side again, haha), is that he accepts OSU insurance. All in all, I can't say enough good things about the experience. This office is the least relaxing space I've ever been for a massage. The room is packed with tables, desks, a non-working fountain and junk everywhere And if for some reason you become a member--know that you need to give AT LEAST 31 days notice or be charged another month's membership fee. I became a member when there was a second nicer office and cancelled with 30 days notice and was charged an additional month fee. read more

Would not recommend.This review is for the location on Riverside Drive inside the Riverdale Nail Salon. The massage room is a converted storage room in the back of the salon; functional but nothing more. The linens on the massage table were wrinkled and worn; the ceiling tiles stained and chipped; no ambiance at all. I wouldn't care if I had a fabulous massage. Didn't happen. The therapist had poor time management and spent way too much time on some areas and then rushed through the rest of the massage. The massage was unbalanced. For example, one arm got stretching; the other didn't. The therapist had some talent and with more training may become a good massage therapist. But not now. Even with a deep discount Groupon, I don't recommend. read more

Today was my first visit to Sean's massage center. Sean was my masseuse and I HIGHLY recommend him and his locations! First off, he did a teriffic job of booking my appointment for what suited my schedule, and in a very timely manner. He took the time with me to make sure I knew exactly where he was located and confirmed my appointment the day before. The massage was the best part. I got a 60 minute Swedish massage integrated with some hot stones. He really helped relax me and loosen up my tight muscles. He knew exactly what he was doing and I definitely got one of my top massages I've ever received. At the end I showed concern about how I sleep with my neck and he took extra time to go over different pillows and sleeping positions to make sure I can not keep tightening up my neck night after night. In my opinion, he went above and beyond and it truly left a lasting impression. Thanks Sean, I will be back! read more
