The one star is because I had a pedicure here a few months ago and it was done well. Yesterday was a different story. I made an appointment two days in advance, said what service I wanted, and gave my name and phone number. When I arrived I reiterated my appointment and service. I was told "pick a color". I bring my own. 20 minutes later no one had said anything to me, so I left. Obviously, they don't honor appointments. Maybe try as a walk in and hope for the best! read more

I recently went for a simple pedicure, and what should have taken 45 minutes to an hour took 2 hours. Very pushy woman constantly tried to talk me into things I repeatedly said no to, and she wasn't the one doing my pedicure. . Stopped in for a pedicure to get some tlc on my toes. After asking the pedicurist to go easy because she was hurting my toes, she kept up digging with her tool under my big toe. I told her to stop because now my toe is bleeding. A week later, I have a full blown toe infection that I am now on antibiotics and missed work because I waitress part time at night. I went back to Ivy to show mngr "Kenneth" my Dr note and my toe/swollen foot all the way up my ankle and he denied giving me his Ins Cos name and did not want to be at fault and shrugged it off. I showed him a pic of my toes drying because I sent it to my friend as shown. Then these next pics are of my infected toe. I had a follow up appt with my Dr and she extended my antibiotics for another 2 days because it's still red. I would never get a Mani/pedi from this place again. It's not worth my health and they are so rude. He didn't even offer a refund!!!! Just wanted to add to this. Just last week, my toenail finally grew off so the new one underneath is visible. This is the second time that I got an infection on my finger after having fills done.

My nails were fine until the color. The color I chose was on the lighter side meaning it needed more than one coat. After three coats my nails were still translucent so I simply asked for another coat. Rather than adding another one, the women doing my nails said no. This place was really good, very organized and open, the people working are super nice and welcoming. Walk ins are welcome and they did a super good job on my nails. I got acrylics and I had them do a design I don't think they have done before, it came out a little sloppy but other than that the place was fantastic. I wound up in Urgent Care" in California a couple of days later. I hate to think what the bills for all of that will amount to. This salon just sold at the end of April 2014. I had never been there before that so I can't say anything about the previous owners. But I was a customer of the new owner at a different salon. I love her work. She does an excellent job and is very fluent in English. Everyone is friendly, it's clean and they provide an excellent service. The new owner is working hard to increase the products and services offered too. I highly recommend them. I get a pedicure every 2 to 3 weeks and I've had shellac manicures there as well as gel. I'm not sure if it was just the nail tech I got, but I had a dip manicure done and was very unhappy with the end result. The polish does not look smooth on my nails (it's very uneven and lumpy looking) and the nail color is much lighter towards the top of the nails. :( He also didn't really do much with my cuticles. When he filed my nails he clipped some of my skin on my pointer finger which stung and still does the next day. He was very nice, but I would not go there again, or if I did I would make sure not to get him. read more

I went with my friends to get our nails done and ours all looked terrible. I've gotten my nails done at a variety of places and this was by far the worst manicure I've ever gotten. First the nail technician cut my nails too short without even asking and I said I wanted square nails and she did only a couple square and the rest round. I don't like round nails and now I have to wait till my nails grow out. The color I got is too sheer and you can see through it, it looks terrible. None of my nails are smooth and all have ridges on them. Also she didn't even put hand lotion on or anything. For 40$ dip... I'd expected way more. As on other visits, the lady claimed that the sign of prices is down because they just updated their prices. I asked to see the current list of prices for pedicure services and she very begrudgingly showed me the menu on my third request. However, she warned me that some prices might not be accurate.
