If it happened once, well ok they are having a bad day. My second try was worse. I called to make an appointment and was told yes, of course come right in we can take you now! I said great, I will be there ASAP. When I arrived (maybe 10 minutes) EVERY tech had a VERY new client. He said...have a seat, it won't be long. After sitting there 15 minutes I asked him how much longer it would be and he said another 20 minutes. I was extremely annoyed as I had made the appointment and it had been completely disregarded!!!! AND he was so RUDE about it like it was MY fault! I told him I would not wait any longer and left the salon. Today I went in with my son without an appointment. (I mean what's the point?) He said he could take us in an hour. I asked if he was certain he would have techs available for us if we came back because of my last experience. He rolled his eyes at me and kept repeating he could take us in an hour. Again with the rudeness and smug attitude!! I found this place off of ratings online while on vacation and am so glad I trusted those who suggested it. I also didn't want to pay an arm and a leg while already having travel expenses. I only had about a ten minute wait in the morning - just a bit after their opening cause they were already booming with locals. They have a great amount of colors to choose from and the staff really made me feel valued and important- no rushing whatsoever and genuine attention to details. I'll start off by saying that this place *used* to be good. Last year I'd go in every other week (like clockwork) to get a manicure and it was amazing. Lately though, not so much. I'd taken a break because of my budget but came in a little while ago to get my nails don't for a wedding. They turned out okay, but not great, the only thing I really liked was the nail art he did. Today though? Never again. You can clearly see where he did and didn't put top coat, there are a couple of small bald spots on my thumbs and to top it all off I have never been made to bleed at a salon before. Like my pinky was legitimately bleeding and all he said was "oops." I only made them redo one nail but I really should've had them do them all over. I can already tell exactly where it's going to chip in a few days because of where the top coat very clearly isn't. This salon used to be good, but the quality of work has just gone so downhill. I don't know if it was just the one guy (not the owner guy) or what but it's a substandard manicure. I got my nails done hair during Covid. They had all of the health precautions in place. You have to wear a mask and keep your distance which is great. They also had screens up for social distancing. I had to sign in when I got there and my temperature was also checked. I really appreciate these things being done as we cannot be too careful these days. I got a manicure and pedicure and they honestly did both of these things super quickly. I was very pleased with the service and the selection of colors. read more

I got the 4 in one pedicure for 36 dollars and it was the best $$ I've ever spent. I chose 'ocean' for the scent. First a soak and scrub, and the cuticles and clipping. Then a sea salt and sugar scrub, hot towels, lotion and heavenly massage. Then hot rocks and polish. Bin did the work and she is adorable. Very nice person who didn't rush or try to skimp on anything. She did a great job. I never would have guessed the best pedicure was inside Walmart - but it is. I went here to get my nails done they took me in at 6:30 and were rushing to get my nails done. The short guy with spiky hair had the nerve to say to my face oh no it's this girl again she's a pain then before I could get one of my other hands to dry he yells out it's ok Katie you are all set I explained to him that I did not get to dry that hand under the UV lamp yet then he says I'm being a pain. I yelled at him I'm not being a pain. I'm spending $40 at your salon and this is how you talk to your customer! If u didn't have enough time to take me or didn't want to take me you should have said so I am appalled by the lack of customer service and I have reported him and this salon and got his name maybe next time he will learn how to speak to a customer! I love it here because of the hours. On multiple occasions I have rushed in for a last-minute nail need due to some important event, and there certainly has not been enough time to fit me in but they ALWAYS fit me in and stay late. I'm so grateful for that because working full-time it's hard to plan nails around work. My nails have always come out really great and lasted for a long time. They have a really nice selection of gel colors and shape my nails just how I like them. They are very nice and if you can get over the fact that you have to go into Wal Mart to get your nails done, you'll be happy you did. read more

I went in on Saturday for a fill and polish change on my toes. When I got home I noticed that one of my toes had smeared onto my pants. I went back the next day to have that one re polished. When I got there, they had me sit on one of the pedicure chairs and she took off all the polish on my toes, rubbed my legs and feet again and then re polished them. I told her I only needed the one fixed and she stated "I want to make sure you're happy". WOW! I have never had that experience before. I will for sure be going back to them for all my nail needs! I first came here in 2017, and have gone 4-5 times. My step mom goes on and off regularly. Theyre very blunt, real, so if a customer service fake attitude bothers you thats a good thing. If you feel like they insulted you they probably like, didnt. Ive never had my choices questioned, just commented on in a not negative way. My mom and the owner andy have a joke that my new baby brother is actually andys bc he looks like him. (which is weird, bc hes italian) Everyone there likes when my baby brother comes around. so you can tell its a very friendly environment, but that might bother some people who would consider it not professional. The owner has done my nails a few times and hes very good at getting them done fast and well. The only issue is once I got pointy acrylics and they were a bit rounded near the point? Not the thinnest I guess. Its the only time Ive ever gotten fake nails sorry. It might not be like that fancy california instagram girls nails, but those usually go from 60+ a set and here a basic set is 30. I got my nails done by a girl who wasnt Andy and she was very sweet and was the first time I got my cuticles clipped (I usually ask for them to just push it back) and she was really gentle and didnt nip my finger at all. They're location and price point would make people think its a crusty place (Some people apparently do, but I think theyre just insulting them bc they made mistakes on their nails. I wouldnt claim its dirty unless you seriously meant it bc I see them keep things clean, use liners in the recurred thing. Wear gloves and stuff.) I think its a good place to get simple things done. This was my first time at this nail salon. I went on a Saturday morning and they sat me down right away. All I wanted was a manicure & it was exactly what I wanted! I got them painted (not shellac) and they've lasted me all week!!! I work with computers all day and there are no chips or anything! I'm writing this post on Thursday and I got them done Sat morning! Da Vi Nails is the salon to go to - don't let the Walmart location deter you! Tried it out for the first time today, since I couldn't get into my regular nail salon. This will now be my new regular nail salon. The employees are very nice and attentive and they leave no detail undone. I truly can't say enough about the employees! The new pedicure chairs are very comfortable and have many settings. The dryers are hidden in a beautiful side table. The salon is clean and has many colors to choose from. In addition to all of these GREAT and important items I must rave about the best pedicure I've ever gotten! I had the $40 organic pedicure while my mother had the $30 sea salt pedicure and added $15 manicure. The pedicures started with a nice long soak, followed by a thorough cleaning of our nails, it was followed by a sea salt scrub for both of us, then lotion, and an amazing massage, hot towels and another great massage with hot stones. Mine also included a cooling gel treatment, the sea salt scrub but with oil, and a really thick lotion. I definitely think mine was worth the extra $15 since I haven't had a pedicure in months; I'll do the organic one again just probably not every time. I can't rave about this place enough. I went in with low expectations because I'd never been and didn't know what to expect and because of the location. All of my preconceived thoughts were completely wrong and I discovered that shortly after walking through the door. I will be back! read more

Not too bad of a place and it will do again in a pinch... they DESPERATELY need something that says what each pedicure package contains. I really don't mind when my technician doesn't speak much English, but getting through the process of "what does this one include, and what about this one, and what does this one add to make it more expensive" got old real quick and I definitely settled on a cheaper pedicure and cost them money because I was tired of asking questions a detailed menu could have solved very easily. I checked their counters, signs, website, Facebook... literally nothing of theirs has any kind of description. The staff is nice enough, but don't hold appointment times. I understand I went the Saturday before Easter, but knowing this I made a very timely appointment much earlier in the day. Still, 3 walk ins were seated before me and I had to remind them 10 minutes in of my appointment time they seemed to forget about. The pedicure itself went fine. Not quite the massage and foot scrub I was hoping for, but for the price, it wasn't something too bad. I felt a lot of what was started around my cuticles was left unfinished and very half-done. This isn't a place I would go if I hadn't had a pedicure in a while and wanted serious work done. This was the worst experience I have had at a nail salon. I walked in and they said "what do you want." I asked to have my acrylics removed and shellac put on, the woman (manager I think) sighed and looked at the clock so I said "I'm sorry, are you closing soon?" She said "no, sit here." She looked at my nails and told me they looked new so I shouldn't have them taken off and should get a fill instead. If I had wanted a fill I would have asked for one, but I wanted to have the three week old acrylics taken off. She starts cutting and grinding them off, sighing about how difficult it was. Then she said she had an appointment so I had to move and wait 15 minutes for another nail tech to finish eating. I am all about taking breaks, especially when it's dinner time, but don't start taking my nails off and then tell me I have to wait 15 minutes with jagged, powder-y nails when I could have just waited 15 minutes initially and done some shopping while I waited. After watching that woman eat her dinner she started ripping my acrylics off. Taking off acrylics isn't always easy, and these were honestly the best acrylics I have ever had (shout out to Fashion nails in North Hampton) but I have had acrylics removed a million times and they always soak them to make taking them off easier. After she got the acrylics off she noticed I hadn't picked a color yet, no one had given me time to do so, or showed me where their color selection was. After seeming frustrated that I didnt have a color yet, I said I didn't need to see the colors because I wanted to get black nails because I was going to be taking the MCAT in a week and wanted to feel like a badass for the upcoming test. The woman looked at me and said "having black nails won't help on your test. You shouldn't get black." Excuse me, what?? When it came to painting my nails she brought over a raspberry color, which I normally would have liked, and painted it on my nail. Because I had explicitly asked for black nails I told her I did not like the color and like I had said previously, I wanted black. She huffed and got up and started looking for the black polish. She came back and painted my nails black clearing disapproving of my color choice. I like the look of matte black nails, so trying to salvage my opinion of the salon I asked if they had a matte top coat. She looked at me and said "matte doesn't look goof on short nails." and then continued to ramble about my poor decisions for a couple of minutes. The manager was working on her appointment next to us the whole time and asked me where I got the acrylics and where I usually go for my nails (I LOVE Tip and Toe on Woodbury ave) and when I said I usually go to Tip n Toe because I really like them she replied with "well at least WE talk to you" Honestly, after my experience I wish they would have not talked to me because they were all rude. I guess I shouldn't have expected much from a dirty looking salon in Walmart, but I was more than disappointed with the service I received. I will NOT be back. read more

I was told by multiple people that they would do my nails but they all started with other customers (who may have had appointments). After 20 minutes sitting in the chair I asked what the wait time would be. I was told that someone was almost done and would be right with me. Fast forward 15 more minutes and another woman started me off. Then another woman came and finished off. My nails came out fine in the end. I've had a couple of the workers step out for 10 mins, even when it's busy, and then come back smelling like cigarettes. I will not go back because the place did not appear clean or sanitary. One manicurist had a serious rash all over her arms and kept scratching herself. The woman who did my nails was having a long conversation in her native tongue and pointing to/scratching her wrist, seeming to have something wrong with it. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the manicure I received here. The woman put three coats of polish so you could actually see the layers and it looked so sloppy. I have pink and white acrylic nails and have had them for ten years. This is the best place I have been to in the area. Ken does a wonderful job of putting the white tips on my nails using a freehand brush--and he is very fast too. The rest of the staff is great as well - AND the added bonus of having it in the Walmart makes getting the errands done easier too! read more
