Good food, great service, and a spacious and safe environment to dine during Covid. Only came for lunch this visit to Rocky Gap, but have been to this restaurant in the past for dinner twice and also breakfast. Knew what I was having when I walked in, so I ordered lunch with my drink order. I opted for their good onion soup and a caesar salad without croutons and dressing on the side. I like to eat and taste my salad and not have it flooded with dressing! The onion soup was hot and delicious. It was cooked to order with thick cheese on top and stuck to the sides of the crock. The salad was good, brimming with shredded cheese. It was a lot larger than I expected and it followed up the soup as a good and healthy meal. My waitress was pleasant and helpful and brought my food and topped off my drink when it needed a refill. All in all, LB's Place has good food and a nice environment for any meal of the day. Since Covid started they have really expanded the table areas and made me feel comfortable to dine there. Recommend a visit here!! read more

I go to a lot of restaurants and I can confidently say this is the worst restaurant I've ever been to in my entire life. To look at the menu one would think "Hey this is a nice restaurant that has some quality food...a little pricey, but whatever,it's in a casino" but no, this menu is a lie. Our first red flag to get out while we still can was when the table next to ours ordered two steaks that were not made to order, and the presentation was deplorable. The steak looked like it was in a sloppy pool of blood over her sides. the server did nothing when the issue was addressed to her because the patron told her she would just deal and the server accepted that as good enough. Well, we know we won't be ordering that at $46-$60 a plate. I ordered tenderloin tips with a spicy Parmesan sauce. The tenderloin tips were smaller than bite size, dry and pathetic over a bed of French's onion straws. The crostini was untoasted, and the appetizer came with about 5oz of what looked like slightly warmed cream of mushroom campbell's soup served in a soup cup, and was completely absent of taste like it was made strictly with cream and too much flour. The size of the bowl of sauce next to my tiny skewers of beef was comical. I also ordered the $12 Crab Mac and Cheese... it didn't have enough crab to even closely justify the price. Once you broke through a crust of cheese on the top there was a giant bowl of what resembled the kids Mac and Cheese at our local pub made with the same cavatappi pasta ($6 with fries)...it wasn't even a fraction of the quality. It was bland in a weird cheese paste similar to my bowl of "spicy parmesan sauce". My husband ordered the $25 Wagyu Burger with Parmesan and Truffle Oil Fries. The burger was ordered medium, came out well. The burger was dry and I highly doubt it was Wagyu beef. The truffle oil fries were the frozen fries you would expect at a chain diner, but with a dusting of powdered Parmesan cheese. If you have ever had truffle oil fries, or a Wagyu Burger this attempt was complete mockery. We have ordered all of these exact menu items at other restaurants and you really have to reach a point of not caring to get THIS bad. Do yourself a favor, and stop into one of the cute Italian restaurants in Columbia, MD before you hit up the casino. This place doesn't deserve the one star I'm giving them. Completely reprehensible. read more

I teetered on 3 or 4 stars. Then, I compared the 4 star places that I've been to and realized a few things. First off, let me start by saying I did enjoy our stop and I was starving. They didn't have a drink menu available right away which wasn't that big of a deal as we sat outside and I'm sure that area isn't a priority to keep their menu cards placed. The person who sat us could tell they were busy so she did start us off with water. Then our waiter came a few minutes later and started us off with special then brought us warm bread - which was really good! I did choose a berry smash drink and we started with crab dip. The crab dip can't ever be messed up; there's so many variations. This one has bread crumbs on top. I think, for being a crab dip expert, when the crab did is creamier and soup like, you need a bread or baguette. When the crab dip is thicker, you need a big soft pretzel. Either way...it was decent but def recommend more crustinis. Not enough for the amount of dip. I went with the special, then I ordered. ( :) ) a 6oz steak, atop spaghetti squash and a potato and leek pancake with soft shell crab. The best part about this were the good bits of the steak and the potato pancake. Not sure on the crab and squash. Still ate it though. Dessert was on the docket so we (I) chose the blonde brownie which was devoured. Good way to make up from the crab. That dessert was warm on the inside with the ice cream !!!! Huge for me. And the view was pretty, I could stare at it for a lifetime. Then he turns red. I really enjoyed the little stroll and sit by the lake. It's what I'd call prefect timing cause the sun was setting during our dinner and it was dusk by the time we sat by the lake. read more

We stopped here for a light evening meal. The restaurant was clean and the server was both pleasant and efficient. The chopped salad was attractively presented with spinach, kale, avocado, grapes, almonds, and blueberries. It was tasty, but was tossed with too much vinaigrette, making it somewhat soggy. Waiting over an hour for burgers in an empty restaurant. Ridiculous. So disappointed can't even comment on the weird food.

Excellent meal had the Pork tenderloins which was excellent and well done, great food a bit pricey but worth it.

I will say, this place is typically very good. The crab dip/cakes- awesome. Steaks- decent. Wine selection... ok. Table bread, meh.. could use some variety. However, tonight I ordered the Sizzling shrimp entree, and it was one of the most disgusting things I have ever tasted. I imagine it had at least 15 cloves of garlic in this weird oil /breading type of surrounding sauce mixture (if you could call it that) and the crostini's could break a molar. It is nothing at all the way I imagined it would be by the menu description. Don't be fooled by this one. read more

The deck overlooking the lake is a view that is so beautiful. The entree's are tasty especially the steaks and flatbreads. We also love the Brussels sprouts with bacon and maple syrup are a great appetizer. The wine list is somewhat limited. This is our go to Sunday lunch or dinner place every week. Summary: meh. good (not great) food offered at an incredibly overpriced rate. We have been here before and just joined a group for dinner. All in all no one had any strong complaints but everyone left pretty underwhelmed. This is probably our last time eating here. I think the sports bar is a better option. The good: nice enough ambiance with an attractive outdoor seating option overlooking the lake. The waiter was on point. The bread served to the table was warm and fresh. Sadly, that was the best part of the dinner. The bad: Good food becomes a letdown when it is priced in the spectrum of great food and in addition to failing to deliver, also leaves you feeling chinced out on portion too. I had the beef tips. They were served with garlic mashed potatoes and 3 pieces of broccoli. Both were good though more veggies would have been welcome. I think there were 4 small beef tips but whatever the number it wasn't enough. My wife had the lemon grilled chicken. It was also short on veggies, dry and bland on flavor and consisted of 2 smaller pieces. You visit a casino knowing the games are out to get you. The service is usually good and the food mediocre. We come to Rocky Gap at least once a year to visit family and usually eat here once during our stay. However, we have noticed that the quality of the food has dropped significantly but not the prices. Frozen spinach on our $15 salad, $38 steak tasted like something from Golden Corral, and the sides weren't great. The prices do not match the experience at all. It's to the point where it's a joke. Anyone that knows my reviews is aware that I rarely give 5 stars. I went with a party of 5 and we had an absolutely superb dinner. It is expensive for the area $12-$30 for entre's but well worth it. I had pasta bolognese and don't think I've had a better spaghetti dish made with what tasted to be fresh pasta. Others in the party had the flatbreads, beef tips, and lemon herb chicken on pasta. Everybody raved about their meal and the great friendly service. When visiting the area this will surely be our "go to" place but I loved my pasta so much I don't know if I will ever want anything else. Highest recommendation from me. read more

Visit here on occasion when in area. I noticed last visit I ordered a wedge salad (@$12) that I had during dinner. I ordered another to take with me. Later when I was ready to eat it I noticed it was HALF the size as the one ordered in restaurant but was charged the same price. The other day I ordered a spinach salad with chicken and shrimp added (@$25). I did enjoy it and again ordered the same salad to go. My original salad had alot of chicken and 6 large shrimp. When I later went to eat the take out salad it was apparent the salad was about half the size of the one I ordered at restaurant. Specifically there was 4 shrimp and less chicken even though I was charged the same as the original salad. The moral of the story is don't pay full price at this restaurant for takeout to get half of what you'd ordered if you sat there and ate it. read more

This is the 2nd time we were at "LB's Place" recently. Both times we sat ourselves, as requested by signage, then waited. We were not greeted either time. No one even said, "We'll be right with you." Both times we got up and left. We went down the hall to the Signatures Bar & Grill. Here the wait staff was prompt and friendly. The food was good as well. We don't ever plan on returning to LB's. I don't believe management cares, because they make so much money at the casino! read more

I vacationed in Ocean City almost every summer growing up, so I've had lots of Maryland blue crab. This place's crab cakes are by far the best I've ever had. Service is great, everything is very clean and the outside seating has a great view of the water. It really doesn't get any better than L.B's Place. read more

We were told this was the best food and most high end at Rocky Gap Casino and Resort, where they have 4 restaurants. My goodness. I pray the other food is much less expensive, cause the food here was not very good. We paid about $75.00 for dinner for 2 with no drinks, plus tip. Not worth it at all. Had dinner there with friends on a Saturday, late afternoon early evening in Feb.2017. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. 2 hours later our order showed up. The food was good. Not great. The prices are outrageous. I got the special which was salmon over a lobster linguine.The salmon was good, nothing to write home about. Couldn't find a piece of lobster anywhere in the linguine. Cost $30. Should have been $10 cheaper at least. Husband got beef tips. sorry to say, I make better Beef Tips. Was not Impressed. save your money. Eat somewhere else before you go to the casino.Our 5 other guess were not wowed either and said they would never do it again.
