I had no idea this brewery was here until a recent trip to Rocky Gap Resort. No matter where I travel I always find every brewery through Yelp and try to hit up as many as possible. Thank you my fellow Yelpers :) This place is really off the beaten path and those are my favorite kind of breweries. It's located on an old farm and its whole vibe screams, "Come on in and enjoy yourself!" I love the space the people who own this have created. The outside area is open, airy, and peaceful. The lower building with the restrooms is a great space too. I love how they serve the beers out of the lower part of the upper building. Super cool setup. We ordered: Girlfriend: Lemon Blueberry Sour Ale (5/5) Me: Blood Orange Horizon (5/5) We also ordered some food from Jackies Groovy Cheese truck while enjoying our beers. I'm going to have to make you a Yelp page because I wanted to give you praise and you weren't on here yet. - Fried Pickle Slices (6/5) - Jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese (6/5) They were both super tasty. By far the best fried pickle slices we have ever had and those jalapeño poppers were super crunchy, cooked to perfection, and loaded with cheese. Yum! Fried foods paired with beer is my weakness. We didn't get a chance to explore the inside of the upper building but that gives us something to look forward to the next time we are in the area but to also check out everything else great they have to offer including their other delicious beers and whatever food truck is there on our next visit. But I do:)) So I went and asked if she bent it she lied and told me no, to which I corrected her and told her we know she did (his id is brand new and it says it on there). Her reason is "PA IDs don't bend" I said i understand but this isn't a Pa id and informed her of the 3 main ways to know it is real also told her to make a google search. She refused to check it again and said she didn't need to serve him. (Which I know is true) At the end of the day you do not do this to someone's GOVERNMENT documents‍ mind u the owner was right there the whole time and both of them tried to tell me no one bent it and grab it out of my hands I was showing them. The drive is beautiful, especially on a sunny day in the fall. The leaves are incredible. As you're driving winding roads along Wills Creek, Hillbilly Haven pops out of nowhere. You'll see plenty of pick-up trucks, four-wheelers and side-by-sides. What you get: is an absolutely quintessential dark, country, dive bar. Beloved by locals, they have pool tables, a small live music and dance area inside and a really nice outside area in the back. You'll meet some of the nicest people. Just remember-it is a local country bar and when in Rome... Here's the big draw-oh my goodness, the food! People come from miles away to get take-out. The wings are perfectly seasoned no matter the sauce/rub, juicy but crisp. The Hillbilly Deluxe burger puts a Big Mac to shame. The smoked meats are done on site by people who really know what they're doing. If you're looking for a Saturday or Sunday road trip on a pretty day and some terrific food, find Hillbilly Haven. The chicken was overcooked and really tough to eat. The potatoes were super thin, runny, and most likely an instant potato mix. I was definitely expecting more and was disappointed by the dish.
