My elderly father and I were in town for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad ride. After a long day, we went in search of Italian food and stumbled upon Bella Napoli. My father ordered spaghetti and Italian sausage, which he said was delicious and not too spicy (and he has a sensitive palate). My dish was Spaghettini Bolognese with a side of meatballs, and I asked to switch the pasta noodles to penne without any issues. Crushed red pepper, a shaker of parmesan cheese, and bread/butter were offered without asking. The Bolognese meat sauce was full of flavor, and the meatballs were a nice size and very tasty. The portions were huge, and we took most of our food home with us. There seemed to be a lot of local patrons, which is always a good sign. We had been wanting to try this restaurant from good word of mouth. Wow....this was a great find. We found it and we were back within a week. We have tried the crabby Larry's, the lasagna and the shrimp Alfredo. All very tasty and more than you can in 2 meals. All about the leftovers! So excited to find Tony working his pizza and sub magic at this restaurant. Tony was from an Italian restaurant in Keyser WV. He made the best pizzas and subs. We were sad when the Keyser restaurant stopped serving pizzas and subs, so to discover that he was here was the reason we decided to try Bella Napoli. We were not disappointed. The restaurant itself is clean and they have a pretty substantial menu. Our waitress Molly, was great. Super attentive, and made some great suggestions on what to try. The food is delicious and plentiful. And the price is right. We ordered the battered onion rings for $3.99 and we're astounded by the amount we received. Then we tasted them. Omg. Soft, crunchy and flavorful. Next we ordered the crabby balls. Oh yeah, creamy crab dip, wrapped in dough and deep fried to perfection. Crispy outside, chewy soft center. 4 large pieces for $8.99. served with old bay hot sauce. Perfect. We ordered a 14" pizza. The portions are huge. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I'm sure it will take me 3 days to finish my plate of food. My son had the Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti and a dinner roll and he also has plenty leftovers as does my Daughter in love who had the baked Ziti. We tasted all and they were all good. The only thing I would change is my spaghetti noodles were a bit overcooked but they were still good. I still say that one plate would have fed the three of us the portions were so much but I'm sure we won't have a problem finishing these tomorrow. I enjoyed them, maybe not as much as him but that may be personal preference! The ziti though was absolutely delicious. It is by far one of the BEST ziti's I have ever had, anywhere! It is genuine pasta. The steak Stromboli was also, absolutely delicious. They put ricotta cheese in the steak sub which sounded strange at first but MAN, it took it to the next level. Lastly, the portions are out of this world. The ziti will literally last me 4 days to be able to finish that all with the help of others. I just had an amazing dinner! A dinner portion of eggplant parm that is big enough for three meals, PLUS a green salad and a breadstick. Everything tasted great!
