This is an unassuming tavern on a street under construction in the historic district. But the dust outside did not come inside. (We did not opt for the outside tables in the sidewalk.) Inside is a classic pub, with dark wood, and a well appointed bar. The anomaly is that this old school tavern is staffed by a group of young people who are friendly and attentive. The seafood gumbo was good, with several types of seafood, and rich smokey andouille. The crab cake sandwich was exactly what we wanted on a trip through Maryland, and I uncharged mine with a side salad A good crab cake is meant to be eaten in a little hole in the wall tavern, and this is that kind of place.

Must get reservations or you sit next to the door with cold air every time the door opens. The food was good, seafood OK not like the Eastern Shore of Maryland! The crab was a bit dry in both the cake and the oysters Gino. The Marsala was perfect! Taco salad was large and delicious. The roman-laude sauce was delicious as was the bourbon chicken.

Stopped in on a Friday night. Service seemed slow and we were seated at a high table next to the window. Through the entire experience, our service seemed much slower than it should have been because the place was def not busy, but our drinks and food all took 2x longer than they should have. Everything was good though; catfish Po-boy and Philly cheesesteak. Def should not have taken 1+ hours for our trip though.

Really good cooking going on at this little eatery. We came to Cumberland Maryland to ride our bikes on the Allegheny Trail. Out of all the restaurants we went to during our stay this was our favorite. We had the Catfish Pontchartrain which was really delicious in a light creole sauce with peppers & onions. It came with a salad and the vegetable of the day which was a zucchini medley. The zucchini medley was sooooo tasty, I could've eaten a giant bowl of it. Got a side of rice and beans, which was very good and authentic, served with slices of sausage. A gem of a place.

Wait staff was friendly and quick. The inside and outside had a decent amount of seating. I ate the taco salad inside of the tortilla shell and it was the best taco salad I've ever had. I would definitely get it again. I ordered a side of fries and honestly, they were just ok. I didn't need them. My friend ordered the cheesesteak and she said it was pretty good!

Baltimore Street Grill is located in the heart of downtown Cumberland, Maryland. It's a small, pub-style restaurant that serves Cajun, Italian and American dishes ranging from etouffe, scampi and pizza. I ordered the catfish po' boy sandwich. The catfish was cooked well and flavorful, but the rest of the sandwich was pretty plain. The wait staff is very nice and attentive, and the outdoor seating provided a nice atmosphere for dinner on a Saturday evening. Baltimore Street Grill is a nice place to visit if you're in the area and want a quick bite to eat.

A small bar currently in the middle of a construction zone. Friendly staff, all our food was delicious, and once the construction is done with will be much cuter outside the restaurant. Kind of hard to get to currently. Our wings were delicious, jazzy and mild cooked perfectly, fries yum and also the crab chicken sandwich !'

Today Tony and I had lunch in Cumberland MD at The Baltimore Street Grill on Baltimore Street in downtown Cumberland. We found free on street parking near by and walked over the restaurant. Lovely outside dining available but it was so hot today like 95 degrees so we opted to dine inside. We were greeted and seated quickly. Tony ordered a Budweiser and I got Unsweetened Iced Tea with lemon and lime. We opted to order a small Pepperoni Pizza with onions and jalapenos and BELIEVE ME... DELICIOUS IS NOT THE BEST WORD....this Pizza was OUTSTANDING!!! PLENTY of Sauce and Tons of cheese... everything was perfect!!! Honestly couldn't find one thing wrong!! Waitress was extremely attentive.I know more than got my glass half empty and she was there to fill it up. The tea was very good too, brewed perfectly!! Price was great!!! We both left full and satisfied. I hope you go and experience dining there!!!

Got duck and filet and both were cooked as requested and to perfection with a delicious char, a juicy center, and perfect salt and seasoning. Sides were packed with flavor as well. Ordered a cheese board appetizer as well and they reopened my eyes to blue cheese, peppers, espresso beans, and olives. Very intimate setting, maybe 8 tables max with one server (maybe two and I missed) but I'd plan at least a couple hours for your dining experience, especially if you plan to get appetizers or dessert. Tips: Gotta check out their FB page for the weekly hours and menu as they close some weekends for catering. BYOB, no corking fee! No need to bring corkscrew, they cork it free of charge.

I'm not big on fried foods that often so I ordered the Captains Platter broiled. It was $41.49 and came with a crab cake, three shrimp, three scallops, a piece of unidentifiable fish and some steamed broccoli. It was absolutely not worth the price paid. The fish was practically inedible, awful flavor and texture. The shrimp were standard and the scallops were small. The crab cake really didn't have much crab in it. I wouldn't get it again. My second mistake was ordering steamed clams for $14.99...I doubt it was even half a pound. They tasted boiled. The bread that came with it was the best part of the meal and sopped up the juices pretty well. You get better clams from a Chinese buffet on a weekend where you get a meal for the same price as the clams. The salad I got with the platter was also pretty good, very standard. Hard to mess up a salad. The place is very tiny inside and not great for groups. We waited a couple hours to seat six people. It's decorated like an old Hooters and has that kind of feel. Service was 3 stars. It's super loud and noisy inside and she was trying to take our orders from across the table at the other end and I couldn't hear a word she said and she seemed offended when I asked her to come closer. Either talk louder or move closer, not sure what the problem is with that. Would not return again.

A guy I assumed was the owner or manager was sitting at the bar watching TV and doing a crossword puzzle. A few minutes later we ordered a burger (well done) and a blackened salmon wrap. And then we waited. And waited. At 3:42pm I asked about the food, noting how long we were waiting. The waitress said it was coming right up (our waitress was kind and understanding). However, the owner grumbled at me that "the food is cooked to order." Ok. Great. I told the owner we only ordered a burger and a wrap and that doesn't take almost 40 minutes cooked to order, especially considering the place was empty. The owner got up and started talking back aggressively and in an irritated tone about how we didn't wait that long. I repeated that it doesn't take that long to cook a burger. I asked if he treated all his customers like this. If the owner is reading this: Here's a tip. Get off your behind and manage the restaurant. Don't blame the customer when the cook takes forever. Instead say, "I'm sorry it took so long we will get right on that" and then pop back in the kitchen to see what is happening. I'm so sorry that customers interrupted your important crossword puzzle. My "well done" burger was burned. I wanted it cooked through not a piece of charcoal. Not good. And my wife's salmon wrap did not have a lot of salmon. For what we got, it was very expensive. The waitress was excellent, but the service from the cook and management was abysmal. We will not be going back there again, which is too bad because as locals have enjoyed going to City Lights during the summer to sit on the patio for dinner.

They have a refill club where you can buy a mug and get your name printed on it with discounted refills. Again I appreciate that kind of thing, but the bartender seemed way more interested in some of the regulars than us. Just the vibe she gave off that night I guess. And lastly the beer...it's solid. Not great, but solid. Lots of darker beers which is fine for me personally, but the darks outnumbered the IPAs, pilsners, etc the night we were there. I'd expect a little more variety.
