While it…read moremight appear as a fine establishment from the outside, the inside is filled with literal garbage and junk. Nelly took my lamp to repair it and it took 3 weeks even though I was told it would be ready in a few days. When I called to get an update after the first week, Nelly was annoyed by my persistence and said there was a delay because she was waiting for a part to fix the lamp (from reading Yelp reviews, this is a common lie that she tells customers when she hasn't started working on the repair yet) and suggested for me to get it fixed somewhere else if I didn't want to wait. Rude! When I went to pick up the lamp, I asked where the rest of my vintage, expensive, discontinued & hard-to-find bulbs were that I left attached to the lamp. She immediately cut me off to say no she doesn't have my bulbs because she never takes customer's bulbs and even SHOOK HER FINGER in front of my face. I went back and forth with her about this because she was gaslighting me and guess what?? I ended up seeing my bulbs directly behind her in a box full of junk. She then insists that those bulbs belonged to a different customer. I proceeded to take my bulbs, and she eventually conceded because she knew she was wrong. I asked for a bag to help me carry them. I WISH I COULD MAKE THIS UP BUT THIS LADY LITERALLY PICKED UP AN OLD, USED MCDONALD'S BAG FROM THE FLOOR AND PUT MY BULBS IN IT. This store needs to be shut down. Selling any service in this pig sty is criminal and unsafe.

Throughout the process Chad was clear, flexible, and efficient. His recommendations were great, prices were fair, and the quality of his work top notch. Now, we are looking at other projects for inside the house as well as other electrical projects we definitely plan to work with Chad and the Lighting Republic team when it's time!

When we first met Chad back in May 2021, we were looking to get some low lighting in the front &…read moreback yard. Chad was very knowledgeable as my wife and I did not know much about low lighting. Chad gave us a lot different choices and he recommended Phillips Hue system that gave more variety with colored effects than just white lighting. He came back a few times with ideas until we made a decision. We installed the system in January 2022 and for the first few months the system was great! However a few months later we started getting issues with the cabling and Chad came back out to diagnose the issue and resolved it. Every few months we were having issues with the system which was very disheartening as it was an expensive system and the issue was the cabling and Chad no longer promoted Phillips Hue after our experience. We are still having issues with the system it was usually in the back yard but the past 2 times it has been in the front yard. When I have contacted Chad he has been responsive and I usually have to wait around 2-3 weeks until he was able to come out and fix the problem. In October 2024 we had another issue with some of the lights flickering and sometimes it doesn't switch on. I contacted Chad and it took a couple of texts to get a response saying he would be unavailable for 2 weeks but he would be in touch to come and look at the issue. It's been more than 6 weeks and he hasn't still responded to any of mine or my wife's text or messages, as we were concerned of his well being after silence. He has completely gone silent and it is unlike him not to reply but we have been left stranded and ignored. We would have preferred for him to respond and say no I can't keep coming to fix the issue rather than just to be ignored. We regret putting the Phillips Hue system and wish we just put in white lights and my wife + we feel very disappointed and let down with Chad also considering we gave him some work at our HOA. We are all about helping folks and promoting good work. Chad is a great guy, we are sorry our system is problematic but he charges to come and fix issues, we are disappointed to be left stranded with silence to texts, emails and messages. This is not the way you treat a good customer and we felt he was not happy coming to fix the issues as it was every few months, which is unheard of. We are very disappointed in Phillips Hue. We were not about to change the system again to just simple white lights after spending thousands. We now find someone else to help resolve the issue. We wish Chad would at least support the failures and help us rather than having us restart the process with a new professional. It saddens me to write this review as if you look at my reviews they are always generally positive but this experience is one we needed tor share for awareness.

As a BOD member for the HOA, I had previous experience with Mario Castillo electric when we needed to do an upgrade to the electrcial panel at our home where they did an exceptional job. This time I was working with their commercial division and the excellence of service was no different. The communication, responsiveness and quality of work was excellent. There was one minor issue after hours and they had a service technician onsite within an hour. They worked very well coordinating with the individual tenants in each unit to gain access when needed. Their quote for this project was also competitive, and job was brought in on budget with no extra "surprises". I highly recommend this company for your electrical needs, big or small. Our HOA has picked Mario Castillo as the electrical vendor of choice for any work needed and we are looking into an ongoing maintenance contract with them as well.

Pricing is quite high compared to other quotes I received but very transparent and worth it. Took one star because of poor communication and lateness. They advertise working Saturdays and do some of the crews but according to their office, that is all a mistake and they only work M-F 9-4. That plus the crews showing up 2.5h late each time meant that I had to take more time off than anticipated for them to complete the work. But now I know and I will absolutely use them again.
