This place is a must go to in Long Beach! We stopped by and they were super accommodating with getting us a table even though it was 10pm. The seafood dishes are sooo good- we had the halibut and zucchini noodles with all types of seafood (clams, mussels, etc) prepared with it. Oh and the flatbread appetizer is a MUST. I'm so happy with my experience at LB Social - Def recommend! read more

Love me some cocktail wizardry and LB Social delivers. Really cool spot to post up, have a craft cocktail (or two) and enjoy some luxurious desserts (personally cannot resist the temptation of their cookie baked in the skillet). Really fresh ingredients and you can see the attention to detail in the presentation and delivery. Have not had the chance to sit down for a dinner here yet, but I will be sure to update my post afterwards (I am sure it will not disappoint). read more

I have to say that Matt at LB Social is doing the right thing . During the lock down caused by the virus he implemented a organized take out system with excellent food choices. Dinner packages for 4 including desert . Delivery in 45 minutes, driver with gloves to your door step. Keep it up . Looking forward to dining in with drinks in the near future Peter L read more

I was here last weekend with a few girlfriends... it was amazing! The pictures of their food on the website dont even do the actual food justice! Everything was amazing! The bartender was so friendly and the entertaining and her specialty drinks were out of this world. I will definitely be going back... this will be my new go-to place for good food, great drinks and awesome service!! read more

Went LB Social tonight for dinner. Had read lots of great reviews. Baked clams were salty, flat bread was very good. I had the gnocchi with the ragu sauce, nice large portion and great flavor. Husband ordered swordfish special and it had a terrible fishy smell. Home made chocolate pudding with whipped cream very good. I guess I could say mixed reviews. Owner came over a few times, as well as, the manager. Didn't care for the waitress she was a bit cold and unfriendly. Will give it another go if husbands wants to read more

The Food at LB Social is better than some super yachts. Bravo!! Always consistent and delicious.

Sucks horrible poor food poor service poor snobs, crummy food poor lousy attitude. Over priced. Please save your self

Great food and excellent take-out. Prior to COVID eat here often was so glad we could continue to get their excellent meals for take out.

New to the area and stopped in for a drink and appetizers. Best food we've had in Long Beach. Thanks for great service and awesome food!!

After coming for dinner last year and falling in love with our meal, we decided to take a trip back. We were quickly seated for outdoor seating, and from the very beginning I noticed how sweet our waitress was. Our food came out quickly and everything we ordered was fantastic as expected. Through out our entire dinner the many staff members were extremely attentive. I appreciate great service and it makes the meal all the better! read more

Let me start by saying The food was delicious and it's a great atmosphere. Unfortunately that was taken away by a rude waitress. She rushed us to order and once we did she wasn't seen again z we sat with empty drinks for over a half hour before we asked another more helpful waitress for another round. We felt rushed out midway through our meal. I understand they need to flip tables quickly but we would have been out if there quicker if our waitress was more efficient. She seemed overwhelmed and under enthusiastic to be there. If we had better service it would of been a 5 star rating. read more

2 things about this place #1 the food is absolutely awesome. My husband and I want to literally lick our plates when we are there and always leave in pain ( that good kind of ate too much at Thanksgiving pain) #2 the Chef/Owner Matt is good people. He's a genuine giving person and when good people like Matt cook your meal you can literally taste the love. He's always awesome and accommodating his guests with menu modifications and comes out to chat to ensure he gets it right. He's the best! If you have gone to LB Social you already know these things. If you have never been or maybe haven't been in a while don't second guess yourself. Get there for dinner tonight! read more

best service, best food, i highly recommend this place!!! The food is to die for as are the desserts!!! Very popular spot in long beach for a reason! read more

My fiancee and I stopped into LB Social last night for a late dinner. This is the third time we have eaten there. First off, our waitress Gabrielle recognized us as returning patrons right away which made us feel welcome. The food was excellent for the third time, very consistent and tasty. I had the chicken scarpiello and Ang had zucchin bolognese with meatballs. The owner Matt who is also the head chef came over several times to see if we were happy, very attentive. This place is a pleasure to eat at, great staff and if you go ..... ask for Gabrielle, she will make your experience great! read more

Cute little spot! Great service - staff is super friendly. We had the beef tartar and one of their flatbreads to start - I wasn't crazy about the beef tartar but the flatbread, filet, and shrimp and pasta we had was amazing!! We will definitely be back! read more

LB Social - Flatbread from the specials! - Wine Bars Near Me - Long Beach, New York

See all

Wow. Where do I STOP with how badly this restaurant has devolved? Lied to about Covid restrictions, bartender horrendous (in the past there were GREAT bartenders here-not anymore!) What we think was the owner/manager also rude and flippant about twisting Covid rules to benefit his seating chart...ridiculous...NEVER AGAIN. Save yourself a couple hundred dollars for a couple and find ANYWHERE else in town to eat. Oh, and did I mention the food used to be excellent? Not anymore... read more

Always best dinner in town. I never have a bad meal. Everything is always fresh, hot, tasty.Staff is always pleasant & friendly. A shout out to Matt owner/ Chef. If you want to go and eat, chat & drink they allow you to enjoy what you order. No rushing you out to turn over the table. read more

I have been coming to LB social since it opened and before that to Sugo for many years. The decor is lovely and the service is always spot on. Probably the best place on the barrier island for date night. One one thing that stops me from coming to this place more often is the menu never changes. They do have a few specials each night not the menu is not extensive and I've tried everything and would like to be surprise. When it was Sugo the old owner changed it up as often as he changed his socks and I understand "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" but I'd like to see the kitchen take some risks, perhaps add a duck dish, a couple of new pastas, and for God's sakes bring back the Cauliflower/pancetta pizza! read more

Following a late lunch down the street, my friend and I met a couple of other friends here to catch up over a round of cocktails. Sharing a Cuban daiquiri, complete with caña rum and fresh lime juice, it was so well mixed and chilled that we ended up sharing two. And combined with the bright, open, and airy ambiance and good conversation, it was a nice way to spend a summer afternoon. Yay! I'm a fan. read more

Full disclosure: review is for bar and tapas service only--- but I can't wait to come back and try the full menu. When your Waze app tells you that the Belt Parkway ride home is over three hours and directs you to Long Beach, do yourself and your road rage a favor and come downtown. LB Social is a new player in Long Beach and is right on the main drag, so parking and walking is a snap. I came in with the thought of getting a small bite and a beer while waiting out traffic. Very glad I did. At first, I wasn't going to eat but the bartender left me a menu so I took a gander. Hmmm. Grilled octopus, steak tar-tar, and lamb sliders. Pick two out of three before dinner. The nice bartender, Zachary, helped me decide on the octo-tartar combo and I was very happy with our choices. He tells me that they char the octopus and then refrigerate it then add it to the grill for their delicious flavor. And the sunny-side up egg on top of the tar tar was a great addition. Our conversation was great and eventually the owner, Matt, came out and we had a nice chat for quite a while. He certainly has put together a fine restaurant and I wish him all the success in the world. Food is top-notch and if the tapas are any indication, you've got a winner addition to the local beach scene. BTW live music on Thursday- the night, at least, I stopped in. read more

My mom and I stopped into LB Social for dinner and drinks around 6PM on a Thursday. It was a bit on the empty side and we were seated upstairs overlooking the bar area. The restaurant has a chic and intimate vibe which we loved. We split the chopped salad (highly recommend) and flatbread of the day for starters. The flatbread was bigger than either of us expected and could be shared by 3-4 people for an appetizer. We also ordered two cocktails which were delicious. For dinner we split the Pappardelle Carbonara which was totally delicious and satisfying. During dinner Matt, the chef/owner, stopped by and it was lovely to meet him. We barely had room but still opted for dessert - the warm cookie a la mode - and were so glad we did. Throughout the course of our dining, we watched as the crowd picked up and it became clear this is a go-to spot for many for dinner and/or drinks at the bar and it's clear as to why. The vibe is great, service is friendly and familiar, and food is delicious. It's definitely our new go-to spot in Long Beach and I can't wait to come back and try more of the food (and desserts!). read more

Really good food. Ok drinks. Eh service. I had an early dinner here, oysters, gnocchi and the side of zucchini noodles. Gnocchi was great and the sauce was better. But, when the dinner rush came, we were rushed out of our table because there was a wait for other customers? Sorry, but I'm a customer too and you just got a bad tip by blatantly telling us you wanted us to go. At least we go some free shots of tequila for our troubles?? Lot of places in Long Beach to visit before I come back here read more

Staff was so friendly. Chef/owner came out several times to see how we were enjoying our meal. The best chicken parmigiana I have ever had. Plump, tender and mouth watering. Cant wait to go back and bring some friends. read more

Food and atmosphere are amazing. Some of the best steak tartare I've ever had. Service could use a little help but in their defense it's pretty busy every time I've been there. If you have the time to spare, I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Consistently good food. Whole fish or the chicken Parmigiana are my favorites. My wife is vegan and they always accommodate her with fresh delicious veggies. Easily can be a regular for us. read more

You must try LB social if you visit long beach. Bear, the owner and head chef, customized our sandwich to our tastes and was super friendly. He even brought us our food to our table. As for the bear burger itself, absolute perfection. Crispy char outside, succulent and juicy inside, with candied bacon pieces and a hint of spice from the added hot sauce. The perfect complement to a hot beach day. Highly recommend, and be sure to say hi to Bear when in the area read more

Chef Matt is a great guy and a great chef. He knows how to run a restaurant and more importantly the food is great. We are actually having our holiday party tonight at his restaurant. read more

Went to this restaurant twice. On a weekday it was fairly busy, and not overly noisy. Food is good. Recently went on a Saturday night. NEVER AGAIN. Even with a reservation we waited 1/2 hour. The place was packed (good for the owner) but crazy noisy. We recently moved to LB and thought this restaurant would be our go to place. We scratched it off of our list, at least for weekend dining. read more

This is our favorite restaurant in Long Beach and top 3 any where. We took friends here last Saturday and they loved it. Started with grilled octopus, two different salads and dumplings. One was better than the next. All of our meals were great. Matt the chef came out to ask how everything was and it was such a warm and comfortable place. We will be back soon and often. read more

An excellent place to have a really great meal. The app sized dumplings were as good as it gets, as was the grilled octopus appetizers. After that we both had the Chef's speciality the Chicken Parm. It was delish! As was the service from our waiter. As for the prices, they were very reasonable. This was a keeper read more

Not too many good spots to get quality take out n LB. We weren't too sure if this place would be good but running out of options we were pleasantly surprised, the food was on point! The short rib and baked clams are my favorite. The pasta is home made and the portions are generous. We've ordered a few times now and were never disappointed. read more

I don't think there is a bad thing on the menu. The owner Matt is great, as is the service, food, and drinks. This should become a staple of go-to restaurants in Long Beach. read more

Had a great dining experience, party of 9, waitress was highly attentive and super engaged to create a positive experience. Food was awesome, had lucky 13 oysters, clams, bacon apps that rocked. First time at LB Social, it won't be the last. We had a rehearsal dinner there for 20 people and Matt was very attentive and his staff worked hard to keep everyone happy. Food was great, my only feedback was that a few people's drinks at our table were missed and took a long time to arrive. It was a large group so I can see how that can happen. Matt make it all right and followed up to make sure we were happy. read more
