Overpriced for the quality. Cocktails were not balanced well and food was okay. Staff was also disorganized and forgot to place my order.

LB Social truly has been a wonderful experience from start to finish each and every time I've been there. Matt, the owner truly treats all of his customers like family and exemplifies how a restaurant should be ran. Brian goes above and beyond and takes such amazing care of all of his customers. The entire staff truly makes the experience that much better. We started with a Maple Bacon Old Fashion and the Bee's Knees which were both so good. We also always start with the oysters, they're fresh and absolutely delicious. The chopped salad is so simple yet filled with so much flavor and a staple each time. They offer a diverse menu with healthy options like zucchini noodles that I absolutely love. The steak, where do I even begin? I've had both the grilled skirt steak and the filet mignon and both are absolutely to die for. The chimmichurri on the skirt steak is freshly made and compliments the steak so well. I never leave without the crispy fingerling potatoes, they're insane - crispy and salty. Order the mushroom risotto, it's creamy and made with fresh mushroom stock and you will absolutely not regret it. Safe to say LB Social is my favorite spot and I'm already dreaming about the next time I'll be back. read more

This place has great food and delicious drinks...and up until now, friendly service. Our waiter, as we were about to order 6 appetizers and after we had ordered 6 drinks, told us we had to order entrees with our appetizers now because he had to turn the table. His rude demeanor was surprising. As if ordering drinks and apps wasn't enough considering our bill would be over $400 knowing the amount we were planning on drinking. I was so disappointed that the waiter basically forced us to leave. I guess 6 drinks and 2 apps was enough. read more

This is hands down one of the best establishments in Long Beach. When the dining room is open Matt takes care of his customers as if they are family. Even during difficult times he has opened a take out window and is serving fresh delicious food daily. The take out portions he serves are as large as they are when you eat in house (which I can say is not usually the case at a lot of other restaurants on long Island). When picking up my order I was greeted by smiling faces and a positive attitude at the window. You can tell the staff cares about the community and they are going above and beyond to serve everyone in these times of uncertainty. Please continue to patronize amazing local businesses such as LB Social to keep the community strong. read more

Great food and service looks to be very clean. We can't wait to get back owner seems to love him jod

Long Beach has long awaited a restaurant like this. The atmosphere is trendy with a warmth and subtley I have not experienced here in the LB. I came here with my gift friend who insisted on making a reservation (which I would say based on them having no reviews yet, that once the word gets out, one will be necessary...) The menu is extensive, the drinks are fabulous, and the service is always smiling. Tried the potato cream of mushroom soup of the day, which quickly disappeared from the bowl (it did not disappoint!) Luckily, it was also the 1st night they were featuring a Prix Fix menu for LI Restaurant Week - $28 for an app (choices were chicken dumplings, mussels in white wine, or a chopped salad - I opted for the mussels and ate every single one; main dishes included choice of pork tenderloin (i think), pasta bolagnaise (or something like that), salmon, or roasted chicken. I went with the salmon and was very satisfied with not only how perfectly it was cooked, and the simplicity of it was a nice touch after already finishing my soup and mussels.] For drinks, I went with the Social Cocktail (Kaffir Lime Infused Vodka, Grapefruit Shrub, Mint, soda water) which was very heavy on the mint but thoroughly enjoyable. I hope this place becomes a staple in the neighborhood! I look forward to frequenting here regularly and seeing what Chef Matt has up his sleeve... :-) read more

Absolutely loved this place! I'm from AZ and was introduced to LB Social from a family member, they told me it was good but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. I had the Bees Knees cocktail which was fabulous and let me tell you if they have the Shrimp and Lobster Bisque GET IT!!! I have never had such a delicious lobster bisque in my life! I ended up ordering a pint of it to go. The Owner and wait staff were very personable, a true delight! I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back when I travel through New York again. read more

I don't spend much time in Long Beach, and I wasn't expecting much from the food - I live and work in Manhattan, and the food we got from the swanky hotel where we were staying had been pretty mediocre. But this place was phenomenal. I basically pestered the chef about opening a location in midtown, because I will really miss this place. It's a must visit in Long Beach - the chef really cares about the food, goes out of his way to make healthy, tasty dishes without relying on a bunch of fillers or additives. And you can tell. You can tell that the food is fresh, you can tell that the wait staff care about their jobs, and you know you're going to have a good experience. We're going back tomorrow. No regrets. read more

We've been here many times and have ALWAYS had a fabulous meal. You could literally throw a dart at the menu and whatever you selected would be just perfect. Bronzino special to die for, short rib is awesome. Great cocktails too. Matt is a hands-on owner/chef and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere with the help of his first-rate staff. Our go-to place in Long Beach, and worth the trip from anyplace else! read more

You can count on an excellent dinner, at LB Social. Matt, the owner and chef does a terrific job. The Pappardelle shrimp is awesome. Their wine list is reasonable and we enjoy dinner there. The atmosphere is lively and the service is excellent. Their fried chicken option for takeout is fantastic. read more

Wife and I went to LB Social during restaurant week. We both had the chowder and boneless short ribs. She had strawberries and cream for dessert and I had the pumpkin cheesecake. Only thing that was an "eh, love it or leave it" was the bread. Besides that the service was too over the top. Too many people taking care of one table. I commented to the mrs that I should have taken a picture of the food for the review but we had finished it all already, in a good way. I was going to take a picture of my empty pumpkin cheesecake dish but she said, 'don't be ridiculous As a final note, I don't usually eat cheesecake that doesn't come from either Juniors in Brooklyn or Whistlestop in Oceanside but I figure I'd venture off. It was very good! We liked the dining experience and will be going back for the regular menu. read more

I would like to rave about this place because it was among the best food I have ever had in my life. I came here with my SO for our 1 year anniversary and while I did expect the food to be good they honestly blew us away. We made a reservation and were seated promptly, we were served by Sarah, but you can tell all the staff is trained very well, and they all work well together. Sarah introduced the menu and specials to us in such a concise way even though there were many specials. We started with the grilled lamb sliders and had cocktails, the sliders were cooked perfectly! I had the zucchini linguine seafood for my entree and it was the best tomato sauce I have ever tasted in my life I kid you not, I wanted to suck up every last drop - Chef Matthew stopped by to say hello which was very nice and when he asked if we needed anything I said yes! More bread to soak up this sauce haha! My boyfriend had the herb roasted organic chicken with wild mushroom risotto and he also LOVED it. We finished up with a dessert involving chocolate mouse and of course we devoured it. I want to say thank you to chef Matt and his staff, it's not every day you have such a quality dining experience, we would return in a heartbeat and I highly recommend! read more

We got told about this place from my daughter. I was a little but nervous as my daughter in 30 n did nit know if it was a place for me. Bioy was I wrong First off the staff. So friendly and welcoming. Second the food. Amazing third the service great I would give it a higher rating than 5 but that's all you can give Tim. Kathleen our server was so nice and professional. Give it a try you will love it read more

The other evening, my partner and I walked into LB Social to have cocktails and dessert. When the "hostess" saw us, she said "what do you want?". There was no 'good evening, gentlemen, how can I help you?' There was no 'hey guys, how are you this evening?' Only, "what do you want?" We told the twit that we wanted to have cocktails and dessert at the bar. She just sort of waved us on and flitted away. There were no seats at the bar, but there was an empty table for two near the bar. We asked the twit if it would be OK for us to sit there, and she said "no, that table is reserved". She should have responded "sorry, guys, but that table has been reserved, but it's OK for you to sit there until the party that reserved it comes in". Well, we finally got two seats the bar, and it was a good hour before the party that reserved that small table came in. The only good part of our evening was the cute male bartender (male bartenders are hard to come by especially here in Long Beach). His name is Austin and he made divine martinis. Other than that, I don't think I'd want to subject myself and my partner (we are an interracial couple) to any further rudeness from that twit. Shame! read more

Have seen this place around and was finally fed up with the usual "go-to's" Was very impressed with the menu and the food was excellent! Would order from here again. read more

I must say it was great being back, food is great, but I guess in their efforts to stay afloat, they use the front space for diners although you feel like you are sitting in the take out administrative part of the restaurant. Constant take out orders going past you, phone ringing constantly tAking reservations, and feeling like you are not part of the LB SOCIAL restaurant experience, and at $150 a dinner, it's disappointing! read more

Stopped in the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend for a last minute dinner date - and Matt and team did not disappoint. Got a nice table - drinks were on point and the food exactly as expected. She had the gnocchi - light and airy. I had the salmon - cooked perfectly with risotto and peas. Good way to kick off a date night - and a holiday weekend. read more

Before I even tried the food, I had booked my daughters wedding shower here based on word of mouth and on the fact that my daughter is a culinary school graduate and certified sommelier. I wanted something special for her. Well I finally ate here last night for Valentine's Day with my husband, who is a strictly cheeseburger and fries guy. I have to say the food lives up to the reputation and more! Everything was perfectly delicious! The Valentine's Day menu was not the full menu but it certainly highlighted the food. We started off with an appetizer of chicken dumplings and a "small plate" of decadent candied thick cut bacon. Absolutely delicious and definitely shareable portions. My husband loved his entree of fork-tender short ribs served in a rich red wine sauce. It came with an excellent potato croquette (yes... a standout potato croquette) and spinach that my husband actually ate!. I had the chicken meatballs over linguine and we loved it all. Of course we shared everything and could have licked the plates but the portions were good sized and we actually took food home. My husband was able to squeeze in their mini apple crisp with ice cream and enjoyed it immensely. I can see that this place is going to become a favorite for both of us and I also can't wait to come back with my girlfriends and share plates from their full menu. The service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and made sure that we enjoyed this special evening. I can't wait until the shower! read more

We had such a wonderful meal and experience tonight. Friends met us and we came in for the first time. We were met by a lovely host and hostess. They took us immediately to our reserved table. The waitstaff was friendly and informative and were available for anything that we needed. And the food...amazing! We started out with drinks and then chopped salads all around. For mains, my friend had the octopus appetizer, I had the skirt steak, the guys had a pork chop and a chicken scarpariello dish. Everything was superb. The attention to details was amazing. We finished our meal sharing an lb social cookie desert...heaven, with cappuccino and port...wow! We will definitely be back! This place is a super find! read more

My husband and our friends went to LB social last night and were extremely impressed with the food. Cuisine and quality was top notch with fresh unique dishes which were absolutely delicious. There was nothing really wrong with this restaurant but nothing right with it either ... food was only ok, the menu was very basic and didn't have many options or anything exciting. We split the chicken Parmesan and a salad (both which I felt like I could have made better at home). Ambiance was less than appealing and again very basic, a bit dated, which went with the food. Also, the host offered us a seat at the bar not a table upon walking in, which I found strange and sort of rude being that there were tons of empty tables. I will avoid next I'm in Long Beach. Shocked at the positive reviews! read more

One of the best restaurants in Long Beach. Super friendly and hardworking staff, inventive dishes, and delicious cocktails. Grilled octopus, skirt steak w/ chimichurri, and chicken parm are our favorites. Matt, the owner and chef, is really putting out some quality food, which is something Long Beach REALLY needs!! Bravo. read more

My fiancé and I had dinner at LB Social earlier this month and we really enjoyed the food. We were seated towards the front of the restaurant. This is the least desirable location. Ask to be seated (if possible) in the back where it's more lively. For starters, my fiancé ordered the chopped salad. It was fantastic. It had fresh corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and a lovely vinaigrette. Outstanding. I went with the candied bacon apple salad. It was good. Rich, but good. Main courses of zucchini linguine seafood and beef short rib were well prepared. We ended with the chocolate chip cookie in a skillet. This is a must-order. I don't have any pics of the food because I have a new phone. I can't find any pictures. They're lost in the cloud lol read more

Food was excellent service and wait time not so much. Arrived at 8 for an 8:15 reservation and we were finally seated at 8:40.
