Beach vibe fancy but you don't have to dress fancy. Delicious food. An owner that's present and a staff that cares.

Don't eat here. The wait staff is fine but the owner/manager is awful. So many things went wrong tonight and no consolation. First I ordered a Manhattan and received 1/2 of a Manhattan. I ordered another one and jokingly asked if my glass would be full this time - no I got another 1/2 Manhattan. Ok no Problem I can live with that. apps were fine. Our Entree's came out and $42 special Lobster Fra diavolo with Andouille was a bowl of Spaghetti. I ordered special Orecchiette with short ribs - I got Short Ribs with Spinach no Orecchiette. I send mine back and they bring back same dish and say the Orecchiette is coming out so I eat some of the Short Ribs. Nancy is searching for Lobster and Andouille in her bowl of Chef Boy AR dee Spaghetti and none to be found. Really a bowl of Spaghetti for $42. We express our displeasure and send back the Spaghetti. Now I'm asked if I want mine to go and I say OK. They throw out my 1/2 eaten short ribs and wrap my untouched Orecchiette - yes really. I'm trying not to explode and explain all this to the Colorado girl and she offers us a desert or another 1/2 drink which I declined. I said no just do something for us on the check so we can get out of here. They charged us full price for everything. Nancy did not eat her dinner and I ate 1/2 but we are charged for everything at full price. Close to $200 tab for a horrible night out. I gave a super generous tip like I always do because it's not the waitress fault. The owner should be ashamed of his unwillingness to adjust the check. I've been there a few times before but will never go back. LB not Social - The owner/manager did not have the decency to come out and talk to us either after he shook my hand earlier - He's a cowardly slovenly tool. Stay away. read more

Visited on Friday night for the first time and LOVED it! From appetizer to dessert, every dish was absolutely delicious! We had the grilled octopus and fresh oysters to start, seared duck breast and short rib entrees were cooked perfectly, and the chocolate pot the creme dessert was heavenly! We shared the dessert which was a mistake - definitely getting my own next time!! Also shout out to the staff for being super friendly and attentive the entire evening. Wonderful experience at LB - We will be back :) read more

I've been dining at LB Social for many years. Whether I'm going there solo, with friends, family or clients, the service, food and ambience is always top-notch. The food is consistently delicious, the staff is always friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this gem for any occasion. I had my baby shower there and they did such a beautiful event. I highly recommend their chicken meatballs, steak, tartare and eggplant Parmesan. Also, the pot to crème or sorbet is my go to for dessert. If you haven't been there, yet, make your way there, and you will not regret it. read more

By far the WORST service I have ever had! We were there over 3 hours and had to flag someone down to clear plates, fill waters and take orders. No one came by to check on us after food was served(it took over an hour for food to come. I did not like the zucchini noodles and wanted to order something but, we were ignored. The zoodles were flavorless and in so much oil. Every time we asked someone for something, the response was like it was an inconvenience. I know places are busy but, this was horrible. read more

Service is unmatched. Came in with a friend (who forgot his mask in the car) and immediately one of the staff brought him over one before taking our temperatures. Appetizers were SO good, the dumplings and bacon are a must try. We got the steak and pork chops, plus tartufo for dessert. The pork chops were my favorite, very flavorful and great sides. Definitely definitely recommend this place. read more

We had the owner wait on us . He was rude and very pushy about ordering alcohol drinks and appetizers. You could tell he is hurting for money. It was a weird experience. Tight place , felt like i was on top of next table . Never going back read more

All food excellent and service great! The owner does it all!! Great place to go!!! Never a bad meal!! Perfect service!!!

I love LBSocial! I have eaten there and had food delivered. It is my favorite restaurant in Long Beach. The ambiance in the restaurant is cozy & welcoming. When having food delivered it comes well wrapped so that it feels like I'm eating it in the restaurant. The only complaint I have is the type of bread & ricotta spread. I would prefer a type of bread that has a crunch to it. I find the bread tasteless & too soft but that is the only thing that I would think needs improvement. read more

We only went there once but the food was awesome the people were very nice the service is wonderful looking forward to another visit

Over Rated, and over priced with a rude owner, they need to get their act together if they want my business , but I doubt if it will ever happen. read more

Probably the best lobster roll I have ever had. Staff is so friendly and it's always a nice time when we go! Food is incredible. Also had the chicken parm which was excellent too. The food is amazing and the staff is fantastic. They have had a great set up for take out during this COVID crisis. Order in advance on the phone and pick up at the window. Everyone is saw inside was wearing a mask and gloves which is comforting to see. I highly recommend the chicken meatballs, zucchini linguini seafood, grilled octopus and short rib. You can can order a bottle of wine to go as well. Nice selection. read more

Matt is one of the best chefs in Long Beach, and his staff is great as well. He puts out the best Chicken Parm in Long Island, try his Octopus also, it's as tender as a babies Tush. On weekends you better have a reservation. read more

LB Social is a visible gem of Long Beach, which saved me during Covid with a drive thru window providing family meals and delicious cocktails in mason jars. The service is impeccable, the whole team is professional and it feels like you are home upon your arrival. The ambiance is warm, the lighting is perfectly yellow gold and honed, the bathrooms are clean, the food is predictably delicious and comforting with a twist and the drinks, have I mentioned the cocktails? In this day and age as prices are gouged and results often fall short when dining, I have to say, this is where I find myself returning to as a local living in LB. Your portions are legit. The prices are fair. The fun abounds! read more

The food is pretty good, but the atmosphere is pretty shabby. For the prices that they charge they should invest in fixing the place up.

Great Location in Long Beach, NY - we had Halibut to go - waited about 20 minutes but was worth it !!! 100% will be back here !!! This fish with corn, onions and scallions was simply delicious!!!!! Crew was very nice and friendly read more

This place was over rated, the food was ok, but it ended there, the prices were much to high,($160.00 ) for 2, with only 1 drink each, the drinks were much to small, that the wait staff were only so- son. Sorry but we won't be back. read more

We hosted a fantastic bridal shower for my sister here on a Saturday afternoon. The space fit our 30 people perfectly and for the price what we were provided with was beyond generous. The food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding. We were able to arrive two hours in advance to set up and were immediately offered drinks even though our "open bar" start time didn't begin for hours. Matt was so easy going and made the planning process a breeze. Nothing we asked for was "too much" or a problem at all. Everything really was wonderful and it will be a no brainer to chose them again next time I have to host an affair. read more

Portions were large and delicious. My daughter loved the herb roasted chicken and side of pasta with sauce, and I enjoyed the salmon and pea risotto. The side of fingerling fries wasn't anything special, but it was still enjoyed. We will definitely be back when we visit Long Beach again. read more

My fourth visit to this comparatively new restaurant convinced me that consistently great food will create repeat customers like me. My first experience was at the bar where I shared a few apps and a main course with a friend. I said to myself ( yes I occasionally talk to myself and I know you do too!) I'm coming back for more. The owner/chef was formerly with Panama Hattie's in Huntington.... another 5 star dining experience. This last trip I had Pappardelle Carbonara. The pasta was prepared perfectly and the sauce made with love for sure. It was served with a healthy portion of jumbo shrimp. I did pause half way through my meal to watch my son devour his Double Cut Pork-chop. This is one of the house specialties. My son said it was the best he's ever had. This boy knows and has some refined taste. Trust him. Zucchini Linguine Seafood looked WOW. Loaded with fresh seafood on top of nicely "sauced" Zucchini Linguine. Oh yeah... had a taste of the Organic Chicken Parm. Very well could be my entree next visit. Fish and meats are all fresh and wild or organic. My next visit will start with Grilled Octopus and Blue Point Oysters. The chef, Matt, is truly a culinary artist. Full bar. Some fun house cocktails like a Bacon Old Fashioned and The Social Cocktail. Parking is readily available. Does get crowded later in the evening. Get there earlier than your reservation and spend some time at the bar. You may find me there. I'm coming back for more. read more

A local Gem of a restaurant, Great service, Bartender, and the prices are very reasonable.

We were here for our first time and were very delighted. Where have they been all this time? I thought that this was one of the best restaurants in the entire area. We were told that the Chef is also the owner. Mucho Kudos to him. read more

This is an update to a review i did last year. This place was awesome. Made reservation and sat down on time for 4. We sat up in the front yesterday around 630pm. The waitress was super attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the chicken parm. I want more... The salads were light and perfect. Overall great place Although it was busy we didn't feel rushed. Most defintely we will be back Thanks read more

Stellar addition to the LB dining scene; well-worth the trip from anywhere in the NY metro area for the amazing food and dedicated, knowledgeable staff. Creative but classic menu, very thoughtfully executed. The seafood is super-fresh, and I am very selective about ordering seafood in restaurants. The clams in the appetizer I had were fresh, sweet, and without a single grain of grit, and the halibut, which was on special, was of equal caliber. Everyone at my table, three couples and myself, was impressed with the food and service. A solid 5 stars. read more

I was looking forward to eating here after reading all the great Google reviews, but alas, it fell very short of expectations. When we first walked in, there was no acknowledgment from the hostess. She and another employee were busy setting up a large table for about 12 people, but a simple "Good evening, I will be with you in a minute" would have done the job. So we just stood there and waited. Finally, another person came over, probably the maître d', no smile whatsoever, and we were seated. Our waitress was OK but has not checked on us during the entire meal. My gin fizz drink was way too sour and when I asked for the bartender to make it a bit sweeter, I could swear the waitress, the bartender and the maître d' were clearly making fun of my request, like they were literally staring at me and cracking up. Now onto the food. Chicken dumplings were good, but most likely, these are not made on premises. Halibut was good, a bit on a dry side, but I loved the sauce it came with. Skirt steak was requested medium rare, and it came really charred on the outside. We are not coming back. read more

First off I'll say the food was great, drinks were good, but the manager or owner whoever the guy walking around in a chef outfit, he was rude, disrespectful and rushing my family and I out the door. For a "fine dining" restaurant i thought it was a joke. The owner should be embarrassed; because after asking around, apparently, this guy has a really bad reputation. I wouldn't recommend going here if you want to have a nice, intimate, dinner with family and friends. read more

Food is good. Wine choices not so much. Atmosphere is a bit old and stuffy but a great choice in walking distance from where we stayed.

I had not been to this restaurant for some time. I had bad experiences with each of the two previous restaurants in this location so LB Social got judged as a result. I was in the area visiting another restaurant that ended up being closed so I gave it a shot. I really was impressed. First of all the server was amazing. She knew details about every item on the menu including the specials and I trusted her enough to take her recommendations. I got dumplings to start and had baked cod as a main course (from the specials menu). My dining partner had the chicken parm (also from the specials menu). All was incredible. Definitely prepared very well. The food itself was also very fresh. I would definitely visit this restaurant again. They were good enough to overcome the negative stigma that the location held for me. read more
