This place was so good from the second we came in and the owner (the chef) sat us , our waitress was so sweet and made many good suggestions (Gina ) . The manager Brian was very nice , came by a few times to ask how we were doing, it's a nice place, looking for good food and drinks , I suggest you give it a try! I was very happy with this place read more

Had a great experience here for dinner after my casual, COVID-era city hall wedding. All of the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone was also very impressed with the food, we had a wide variety of dishes and everything was delicious. I tried the short ribs, burrata, octopus, and filet mignon. Others in the party had seafood zinguini, sea bass, and papardelle. Desserts were also amazing! Loved the sort of urban/rustic decor as well. Go for the food and for the great staff! read more

While we have ordered food to go from LB Social, tonight I took my dad out to eat there and dined in for the first time since the fit hit the shan. The drinks, service and food were impeccable. Burratta, oysters, halibut with fresh summer corn (fish was not dry; a culinary feat with halibut) and short ribs were dance in your seat delicious. Finished by pot de creme (enough for 2) and a perfectly layered cappuccino made for a great evening. read more

There aren't enough great things to say about this place!! Everything on the menu is delicious, personally the chopped salad has become a bit of an addiction. And the pork chop is a must have. It's probably best to go with a few people so you can try a few different things. And always be sure to get a side of the roasted Brussel sprouts with your meal. I recommend starting with the lb bourbon Manhattan and finishing with the social cookie! read more

Lb social is a cool spot for well made drinks and fresh food. The bartender really knows what he is doing. Happy Hour is from 530-7pm. So it's kinda short. But the menu is always changing to reflect what's in season. read more

I look forward to hitting Long Beach every weekend in teh summer, mainly because I enjoy LB Social so much. Great special dishes every time. Excellent food with varied selections. One weekend a band, next weekend sushi...the next? Who knows. This place knows how to entertain and deliver a great meal. The owner is a great guy. He recognizes me whenever I head there for dinner and takes the time out to talk about the menu and life in general. Highly recommend this place. Onew of the best resturants in Long Beach. read more

Was lured in by an enticing and lengthy online menu only to find out that menu no longer exists. Was totally bummed out until my steak tartare arrived, and was then promptly demolished by me. Delightful and delicious. Would come back again. read more

This place is a score. Excellent food, the friendliness service ever! When we arrived we were promptly greeted by Matt the owner, in less then 5 minutes we were seated outside and in the new covid world that was exactly where we wanted to be. Matt hung around for some friendly conversation and we quickly felt as if we had known him for years . He took our drink order and they arrived right away. Shortly after that Erika came over and took our order. So many great choices we ordered half the menu (not kidding). The steamed clams with andouille and collard greens were some of the best I ever had, so good in fact I mopped it all up with the bread it came with. Fresh oysters were icy cold, baked clams were fresh and tasty, bacon slab was candied to perfection. Chicken Scarp had a rich, hearty flavor, all were excellent. As if that wasn't enough, I remembered seeing the lobster salad go by and with everything being so good, I had to order one, so glad I did. Served chilled on a warmed roll with fresh crispy fingerling potato fries. Pricing here was very reasonable. I have to give extra props to Erica our waitress, an older couple wanted to dine but the kitchen had already closed. Erica got in the phone and found them a place to go. Awesome! Looking forward to my next time. read more

We just had the most amazing take out Family Dinner from LBSocial!! Short Ribs (tender melt away delicious) with yummy spinach/oyster mushrooms and an incredible potato croquette that was crispy outside dusted with a bit of Parmesan (?)with a perfectly blended creamy center. On the side was a beautiful red wine sauce. We chose the chopped salad (included with the dinner) also another winning combo of flavors including corn, grape tomatoes cucumbers and provolone cheese.. And we found a lovely surprise gift of dessert when we got home. There's outside tables available now but you can't beat the food or the price wherever you chose to enjoy this great meal. read more

This restaurant is fabulous. It compares well with any restaurant in Manhattan or anywhere else in the world. In addition to great food and remarkably fresh seafood, this is the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. Further they are family friendly, child friendly, and truly food allergy friendly. That last comment is of particular importance to me as I have grandchildren that have life threatening food allergies. I love this place. Absolutely one of my very top picks. read more

This is my new go-to spot in Long Beach. I cannot believe I just discovered it a few weeks ago! I have been back several times since, and the food is consistently amazing. The steak tartare is truly one of the stars of the menu and probably the best I have had (and I have had a lot of them.) Long Beach sadly has many not-so-great places to eat; I am glad this is not one of them! read more

What a meal!! Took a friend to dinner at LB Social last night and need to share my experience - we walked in and the place was so alive we were greeted by Brian the manager and he took us to our table. The server was so professional and the staff was so attentive - she told us about the specials and brought us our drinks. Everyone started with the chopped salad with corn and this should not be missed. Our table of five ordered all different entrees. The table had filet mignon, chicken parm, chicken meatballs with zucchini linguini and the fish special. Matt the owner came to our table to say hello - love that he comes out from the kitchen!! We were so full but had to have the Chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Don't miss out on this dining experience absolutely delicious read more

We love going to LB Social but now especially on Wednesday nights! You can bring your own wine and the waitstaff will open it for you and put your white wine on ice. The food is always amazing. The staff so nice and professional. Never feel rushed to give up the table. Owner, Matt, is always on hand to make sure you are enjoying everything. Love this place!! My fiancee and I came here for restaurant week and were confused the whole time. We aren't sure what all the fuss is about. Echoing what others said, there didn't seem to be any one person assigned to our table, and so within a minute of each other, two waitresses asked us if we wanted drinks and a bus boy and waitress asked if ice water was okay for us. This all happened after the man who greeted us asked us to choose a table in the front or back. We went with the back and were about to sit when a woman, who we presumed to be the hostess, told us we couldn't sit there. She then asked if we had a reservation (which we had already told the man who brought us to the back) and after some confusion about where we should be sitting, we sat. This odd exchange is emblematic of what we felt was one of the defining characteristics of our experience: too many people involved in too many different things. On to the food. My fiancee liked the bread, and I thought it was okay. However, the spread provided was ... interesting. It was some ricotta-honey mixture that wasn't explained to us until after we finished our bread and it was taken away. My biggest issue with it was the frozen chunk in the middle. Chopped salad was good. We both enjoyed that. It was fresh and tasty. For our main course, we both went with the roasted half-chicken. (**We were disappointed to discover when we saw the RW meeting that there was no steak, which seems to be common in many other RW restaurants in different municipalities. The menu was not available online and LB's web site said it changes daily). The chicken arrived in fairly unappealing fashion, dropped atop a corn/bean mixture that was somewhat sweet and okay. The chicken, though, was bland, if not tasteless. There was no salt and pepper on the table so we requested it. This was a major disappointment. The dark meat had more flavor than the white, but that's generally the way chicken goes. Dessert, although it took a long time to get, was good. We had the apple crisp and pumpkin cheesecake and we both enjoyed. The decor was mismatched: rustic up front and industrial in the back. It was just a strange experience. From the looks of this page there seem to be a lot of devotees of this restaurant. We won't be joining them, but wish everyone well. read more

I ordered a greek salad and asked for no olives. Half an hour later I got my salad with olives and no dressing. Waisted $12 on dry lettuce... with olives. Will never go back read more

Great atmosphere and delicious menu! I recommend the chicken parm it's the best in town!

Perhaps my favorite in Long Beach. This place has great food and excellent service. My girlfriend had a French martini and it was remarkably tasty. To start we had the octopus which was perfectly cooked. A cool thing about LB Social is that you can order as many baked clams as you want (we had 4). I've never seen that before. We were hoping they'd have the Halibut and it surpassed our expectations. I had the short rib which we loved. LB Social rules. read more

Was excited to try LB Social - as Long Beach could really use good F&B. The décor and set-up was appropriate and pleasing; however, the service still needs A LOTof work. We did not have one server, rather it seemed like everyone kept coming to our table and asking us the same exact questions - very disorganized. One waiter spilled water on another guest next to our table and proceeded to scream the F word in response. We were asked if we wanted flat or sparkling water and little to our knowledge it was a trick question, because we were charged $8 for flat water when we really wanted tap water. The food was good and this is the reason we will come back; however, it took over two hours to dine here because it was soooooo slow. Took 45-minutes to an hour to get our appetizers. Has potential, but needs some work. read more

If dining in Long Beach, strongly consider LB Social. I started my meal with the octopus salad and it was fantastic. For my entree, the skirt steak was cooked to perfection. My wife had the salmon and she gave her meal high praise. Both of us have eaten at the restaurant a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The staff is always courteous and professional. read more

This is a bit overdue, as we have enjoyed many meals here in the past year since we've moved to Long Beach. Everything we've tried on the menu is delicious, particularly the steak tartare and the soft shell crab special. We've even taken friends here when they've come to visit us, it's become our go-to spot. The cocktails are delicious as well! And there is a very nice ambiance. Definitely recommend this place. read more

We had an outstanding experience at LB Social tonight. From the friendly and knowledgeable waitress that fully understood the menu and the ingredients... to Matt, the owner, who personally welcomed us... to the consistently delicious food. The clam, andouille and collard green appetizer was most memorable. The waitress recommended a spoon so I could completely finish off the leftover broth (Which I did!). The Perfect end to our meal was the warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Thank you LB Social!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant read more
