Excellent food! Everyone loved their dinner it was hard to tell who won dinner that night! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. I recommend trying it and I will definitely be back. Parking was not that bad we were all able to find a spot close to the restaurant. We made reservations but it didn't seem that necessary. It was a Sunday evening. read more

Really love this place. It's the most consistent restaurant in Long Beach. It's small. You need a reservation but it's a gem. The always have a lot of different specials so you never get tired of the menu. The owner and staff could not be nicer. read more

There was cause for just about every rating (1-5) based on my initial visit to LB Social. We came in and shared a flatbread that was a clear 5 candied bacon, goat cheese fig, and melon. Everyone at the table raved about how good it was. As we finished the restaurant began to fill up and was so loud that we couldn't hold a good conversation. We waited a while for our main course which was disappointing. When it arrived I had a chicken parmagian special that was not quite hot and just ok. My wife has a zucchini pasta with seafood that she found delicious. Our friends had steaks which they said were good. Good enough to try again but not quite there yet as far as I am concerned. read more

Poor service: too few waiters. Chef/ owner was very pleasant/ but our waiter had an attitude. Very limited menu, one fish and one shellfish entree. Food was excellent but Expensive for a local place. read more

Just stopped in for a drink to get out of the rain. Luckily the bartender was kind with the pour, the mix and the conversation. Good source of local knowledge about LB. read more

Oh yeah! OH YEAH! Seriously - you need to check this place out. Came here tonight for Fathers' Day with my husband and adult son (both serious foodies). The decor definitely has the industrial and hip vibe but not in an overdone - trying too hard kind of way. We started off with some of the craft cocktails - a special for the night "The Last Word", "West End Story" and "The Social" - all pretty creative takes on standard drinks. Deliciously done twists on favorites without making the cocktails too fussy or complicated. Top scores all around. The bread and flatbreads that came to the table -- with what we thought was the softest, most creamy butter we ever tasted -- was a good sign for the rest of the meal to come. The spread isn't butter at all - but ricotta blended with olive oil and whipped with something else (can't remember).... it was completely addictive! We powered through the bread/flatbreads and spread quickly enough to request a refill. We generally like to save our appetite for the main attraction - but this was just incredible. We opted for only one appetizer - the Steak Tartare with a sunnyside egg on top. DELISH! Smooth, flavorful and not overdone or too complicated. Clearly the quality of the meat was evident and the creaminess of the yoke added value to this dish. A hit! Between the three of us -- entrees consisted of the Grilled Skirt Steak, Gnoochi Bolognese and Pappardelle Carbonara. We are all pretty picky about gnoochi - and more than 50% of the time, I am generally disappointed; NOT TONIGHT! The gnoochi was hearty without being heavy and gummy. The pork/beef bolognese was delicate - if you could imagine that - and flavorful. The skirt steak was cooked to order and had a nice seasoning - the broccoli rabe was delicate, fresh and tasty. We subbed brussel sprouts for the potato - and they had the best hint of carmelization without being overcooked. The pappardelle was creamy and substantial yet light with just the right amount of accouterments to add texture while letting the pasta shine. So happy with these entrees! For dessert - apple crumble and warm cookie sundae - with a couple of espressos rounded out an amazing experience. (Don't like the warm cookie sundae read as pedestrian and ordinary - this was absolutely so delicious - we practically licked the plate despite being full from dinner). The service was attentive without being a nuisance and we loved that the master mixologist came over to explain the house specialties. Our waiter did an excellent job welcoming us and providing great service. I was surprised how empty the place was and hoped it was just an off Sunday night. As we walked to the car, we were already opining over what our next selections would be when we return! So many cool variations on standby recipes - we are sure the chef's twist on these things will be amazing. Long Beach needed a place just like this....and honestly, if you don't live here - - it is worth the trip over the bridge to LBSocial. I will definitely be back! read more

Everything we had was excellent. The Mediterranean flatbread, chicken dumplings and the Halibut were outstanding. The bartender clearly loves his job and takes it seriously. Service was great. Don't skip desert. Will definitely be back. read more

Disappointing. While the decor is great and looks much better than Sugo, the food was very disappointing. Both of our entrees were extremely too salty. The grilled salmon with green pea risotto was inedible and the rare tuna was too salty as well. I was hoping for a great dining experience, but they just didn't deliver. read more

I made a reservation for 4 last weekend. We arrived early so we decided to have some drinks at the bar and the bartender, dawn, was lovely! She was very knowledgable about their cocktails. When it was our turn to sit, we were seated by the nice young man who seemed to know a lot of the customers (marc I believe his name was). Everything was going great at this point, until we were seated and our server came and "greeted" us. Instead of starting off by asking us how we were, or reading us the specials, he immediately asked what we wanted to eat. It felt so rushed! He really didn't seem happy to be there, you could tell by the look on his face. You could literally feed off his negative energy. When you're this miserable at a job, you should just quit. To no surprise, two of our orders came wrong. I ordered the boneless chicken scarpiello and there were pieces of bone in it. My fiance had ordered the grilled skirt steak well done but it came almost fucking raw. At that pointed we just wanted to leave. When he gave us our check he gave us the FAKEST smile in the world. You know those plastic fake ass smiles white girls do in high school. Terrible experience. Oh and I think his name was ryan..short and balding. The clientele did seem well dressed so I presumed this was more of a fancy restaurant, but obviously not. I've heard good things about this place, but don't believe the hype. read more

Excellent food, service & atmosphere! Christy our server, was terrific! Would recommend this restaurant to all!

Excellent food and service The staff and owner are very accommodating ! Good ambience

We celebrated a friend's birthday at LB Social last night. Our group of 6 tried almost everything on the menu and we're not disappointed. The appetizers included flatbread with pulled pork, chicken dumplings, candied bacon (which was awesome) and a chopped salad. Everything was excellent and the portions were good. Moving onto dinner, all of the women at the table had the halibut special and loved it. The men had the Skirt steak with chimichurri and the Chicken Parm special. Both were excellent. The desserts put us over the tops with creme brûlée and fresh whipped cream and strawberries. The chef/owner Matt came out of the kitchen to greet us and the wait staff was very attentive. I would highly recommend LB Social and look forward to coming back. read more

We had an absolute fabulous time at LB social. The decor was awesome, the service was great and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to go back again. Try the chopped salad! read more

Sami the bartender makes amazing drinks. I will definitely come back . They have great food as well.

This is the worst place in Long Beach. I been there many times but I had a really bad experience this last time. Food wasn't what I had had. The service was really poor and frankly rude. I felt like maybe it was me so I attempted to be more cheerful. Finishing I couldn't wait to get out. I paid way more than then bill without a look at it just to get out more quickly. I am sure they will do fine, but not with me. And I will tell others and be fair and careful with my words. read more

I hosted my moms 60th birthday party here and it went flawlessly! Matt, the owner and chef, is so great to work with. He is responsive and writes back to emails in a timely manner. He is also very organized and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves from 12pm-4pm which was great!! It was so special to have the place to ourselves. I arrived a few hours early to set up and the staff was friendly and helpful, offering to assist however they can. We comfortably seated close to 40 people. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was. I highly recommend LB Social for a private event or dining. read more

Restaurants for me are all about experiences. My wife and I decided last minute to try to find a reservation somewhere on a Saturday night. LB Social has been on the list of places that I wanted to try for a while, so I called and was told the only reservation we could get would be at 830. We figured, what the heck, let's take it. We can go to the bar, have a few drinks and eventually get a table and eat. We arrived around 730 and the place was packed. Not a single empty seat and 2 deep at the bar. We ordered a few drinks. I had a bourbon cocktail that was really good, my wife did not like her vodka specialty cocktail from the menu, but that was her fault for getting too creative. She then ordered wine, and I finished her drink. The staff was pleasant, and even though they were a little overwhelmed (we later found out that a bartender and a server both called in sick at the last minute), they did a solid job. We ordered several appetizers and shared a main course. Everything was cooked well, served timely, and even though they were packed, we never felt rushed, which is very common in small places on a Saturday night. We had a great conversation with Chef Matt, who is just a really nice guy, and loved our first experience at LB Social. I look forward to going back more often now that I'm working in the area. Keep up the great work. read more

The food, service, and ambiance blew me away this Thursday night at LB Social on my trip from out of town. I got the rec from a local friend, and wow did she know the best place in town to go! We started with the candied bacon salad, the chopped salad, and chicken meatball flatbread split to start. These apps were so tasty I almost filled up on them, but I'm glad I stil had some room. For the main course I had the chicken parm, which was cooked to perfection, it was perfectly moist so that every bite was flavorful and delicious. If you take anything away from this post- GO TO LB SOCIAL AND TRY THE CHICKEN PARM; IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. The chef even came out to greet our table at the end of the meal! He convinced us to try the warm cookie dessert. Although we hardly had room in our stomachs, we tried it and had to finish the whole thing! read more

Love it never disappoints... we just catered our Thanksgiving dinner.... Have the steamed clams with kale chorizo.. ridiculous. AAAA

Every town should have a restaurant this great! My husband and I traveled 45 minutes to meet some friends here and we were not disappointed. First impression was the friendly, casual vibe which was very welcoming. Next was all the fresh, delicious food. Very nice wine list and great variety on menu. Started with oysters and a couple of beautiful salads as fresh as can be and moved on to my favorite appetizer: clams with andouille and collards - YUM! The linguini with chicken meatballs was a hit with our friends, and I loved the grilled salmon. Long Beach is lucky to have Chef Matt! We will be back! read more

Hands down, best burger I've ever had and I consider myself to be a burger aficionado. I'm a huge fan of condiments and this burger didn't require any.. It's THAT flavorful. Bear and Jared were super cool and I'm definitely coming back! read more

We finally made the plunge. This place was so good. I basically licked my plate clean! I loved the signature cocktail and how the chef walked around and asked how our meals were. We had the chicken dish and the gnocci with chicken dumplings as an appetizer. Amazing. Go!! read more

We've had dinner hear a few times. Food and service are well above par. We each enjoyed our dishes. Everything was GREAT!!!!

I would like to start by stating I've been coming to Long Beach for a number of years to experience the wonders this beach front community has to offer. I continually wondered between restaurants looking for a bartender that could excite my tastebuds. After a long tiring search I finally came across this bartender that works at LB Social. She not only excited my tastes buds, she left me longing for more. I've frequented this establishment just to try the new drink special of the week, most weeks I come back a second time if my hectic Manhattan work schedule allowed. Every week is something new and equally as exciting as the previous week. For-sure I'll be coming back here again soon. read more

Great restaurant for food. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were exceptional! Nice ambience, I will go there again!

Probably the best Chef in Long Beach currently, they are doing an excellent job. We've been going often and regularly, the food is always delicious and consistent. The service and drinks are great too. read more

No desire to ever return to this place. Service...not good. Food....nice presentation but lacking flavor, boring flavors that meld together no pop. General lack of excitement. Waited forever for boring. I don't get it. I heard good things but didn't see it. Maybe it was an off night. read more

Visited Thursday night and sat at the bar. Bartender was a little discombobulated. We ordered our apps at 8.24 and at 9pm he asked whether we got them or not? (We had not) There are maybe 6 other customers at the bar. He then realized that he in fact did not place the order. Food was good when it arrived but would have liked to hear about the delicious looking scallops I saw being served I guess they were on the special menu that night which we heard nothing about. We were not given napkins On a brighter note, Waitress serving in the dining room looked like she was doing a beautiful job and although she was busy she had a calm air about her when she approached the tables. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in Long Beach. They have a great unique cocktail menu, and a creative mixologist willing to change things around. If you like bourbon and rye, try the LB Manhattan. The menu is great, the specials were great, and everyone was happy. Dessert was delicious. They also accommodated 6 of us on the fly, with excellent service, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. So be nice and make a rez. Will definitely start coming here more often. read more

Went there on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. Our table (for four) was ready on time, upon our arrival. Our waiter was helpful and guided us when ordering our appetizers and entrees. He assured us that the portions were huge. Well, the food was delicious... salads, clams and burrata appetizers. So yummy!!! The entrees were great too, and they were kind enough to split entrees in the kitchen so my friend and I could share salmon and gnocchi, but the portion sizes for the pork chop and the skirt steak were very small, leaving the husbands less than satisfied.... particularly the skirt steak. At best a 3" x 5" piece and I'm sure I'm overestimating... for $28. Although the hostess was apologetic as we left, we will not be back. read more

I have been to LB Social several times within a few months. The first two times the food was excellent. The last time I have to say I was a little disappointed, yet the food was still good but not consistent with what I had experienced the first two times. I had invited a few people to join us and felt I had let them down as I was raving about the food prior to this evening. The bar tender is fantastic and they do make fabulous drinks, the margarita is one of my favorites! I agree with another writer in that they need to change the menu up a little more often, would like to see some new dishes appear on their regular menu. Maybe a Cajin Ahi tuna dish with guacamole & chorizo, shrimp mash would be a welcomed addition! I willl certainly give this restaurant another try and hopefully will be as enjoyable as my initial experience. read more

Really good food , just a little tight for space, But fun place for the food and drinks
