    Almond Joy Latte
    Vin D.

I came here craving some dessert coffee, specifically something other than the bland and nasty Sheetz coffee that I'd become accustomed to. The positive reviews also drew me to this place and to venture a tad further out of my way off route 80 to come here. I reviewed the choices and saw the Almond Joy Latte which looked interesting. My experience with flavored lattes is that they are usually overly sweet. So I requested that mine be made less sweet. I guess-timated half the sweetener and told my server. I must say it was pretty decent. Not the greatest flavor in the world (I've had some pretty incredible lattes before), but it certainly sufficed. The whipped cream also added a further touch of sweetness to it. All in all I liked my latte and could see myself coming back if I'm returning from NYC.

    Belgium waffle
    Melissa V.

Stopped in by chance and had a Belgium waffle. It was good but almost all the pastries were $5 and up which I find pricey for a coffee shop. I think it's an ok place for a quick bite or coffee but nothing to brag about.

Awesome Kosher coffee spot. Great drinks, salads, sandwiches. Just wish it was open later in the evenings.

Buffalo Chicken Caesar for the win…read more My mom recently stopped by the Hackensack location and brought me back the Buffalo Chicken Caesar Salad, and baby, it was delicious. Y'all know I love a good Buffalo Chicken Caesar salad, but I love it even more when it's done right. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the dressing was on point, and everything tasted fresh. The salad was light but still filling, which is exactly what I want when I'm eating a salad. It satisfied me without making me feel heavy afterward. We also got the sweet potato fries and the fried zucchini sticks, and both were really good. Now, if you know me, then you know I love a fried zucchini stick, so I was excited about those. The sweet potato fries were also a hit, and they came with a chipotle mayo that paired really well with them. One thing I liked is that you can customize your order. You're not stuck with the dressing that automatically comes with the salad. You can switch it up and choose whatever dressing you want, which I always appreciate because sometimes you want to change things up. My mom got a salad too, but unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of hers because she took it down before I could. And when my mom takes something down, I already know it's good. Overall, everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. So if you're looking for a good salad spot, I'd definitely recommend giving Salad House a try. As for me? The Buffalo Chicken Caesar gets my vote every time.

I always get the wraps with spinach wraps. They're yummy every time! The only thing is the wraps are normally loaded with a lot of sauce, otherwise no complaints! This last time I went I got the cotija steak salad without corn. I realized I'm not a huge fan of cotija cheese but it was still enjoyable! The staff is always friendly when I go here. I will continue going as it's a nice quick lunch!

The baba ghanoush was everything I love in a good eggplant dip and was a definite win in our book - seasoned, textured, and slightly smokey. We intuited this would be delicious by getting two containers of it, and this turned out to be a great life choice. Chicken adana is a fan favorite in our house, and it's done pretty well here. They're like elongated loaves of marinated and spiced ground chicken, and delicious with rice and a dollop of yogurt sauce. We preferred these over the chicken kebab, which were just as flavorful but quite a bit drier. Both entrees were served with a grilled tomato and pepper, which were still warm and charred from the grill. They also came with small side salads, with lightly dressed and slightly wilted greens. My husband appreciated the extra veggies with our meal, but I far preferred the warm and soft pita rounds.

The serving size of my husband's pad thai, for instance, was pretty generous, and topped with a good amount of peanuts (a personal pleasure since I'm such a texture-chaser when it comes to food). I ordered the massaman curry with beef and was pleasantly surprised that the chunks of beef were fairly tender. The curry itself was either watery or bland or both, and the amount of unseasoned potato chunks didn't help to that end. The chicken curry puffs came highly recommended, and with a flavorful filling and a tender, flaky crust on the outside, these were just as tasty as promised. They come four per order, which, considering how filling just one was, turned out to be a well portioned serving. I had two small disappointments with these - I had to search a little to find the chicken, and the crusts were much mushier than I would've expected. My guess is these went straight into their container after cooking and whatever crisp was on these disappeared during delivery. I bet these would be wonderful straight out of the kitchen. My guess is that some or all of the pinch points of our meal resulted from degradation during delivery. Would love to give them another try on site!
