Whenever we visit, the unanimous starter is always the Mushroom Hummus ($15) with pita bread. Everyone, yes, everyone who tried this here at Angelique loved it. You won't be disappointed !!!! Other than this, everything else is ... ok with me hahaha as long as you get me the hummus !!! The Mozzarella sandwich is reasonably priced ($13) and I eat the open sandwich style and finish the other empty half with the hummus. Their dessert is actually really good too. Just that by the time we finish the meal, we are sooooo full and hesitate... Next time !!! The Dubai chocolate cake, Blueberry cake and the mixed berry tart !!!!!

I am so glad to have finally dined at the highly recommended Café Angelique. Transformed from a train station, this cafe provides multiple ways to enjoy your meal (high-top outdoor seating, indoor, and outdoor tables, adjacent to the building and railroad tracks). The interior is beautifully decorated with comfortably separated tables. Our Server, Kevin, did a fabulous job with every aspect of our meal and checked on us at perfect intervals. Our beverages were all refreshing, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyed: Large Mochaccino, Large House Coffee, Large Iced Mochaccino. We started with Watermelon and Feta. I enjoyed this item VERY MUCH. The small cubes of feta, served on a separate dish, was appreciated and enhanced the enjoyment of the sweet and salty happiness. Each and every entree was delicious, well seasoned, and served in large portions: Belgian Waffles (Two Belgian Waffles, with bananas, and strawberries). Deluxe Omelette (tomato, mushroom, spinach, peppers, onion, mozzarella, served with multigrain toast, cream cheese butter, jam, and a side salad). Chicken Pesto Sandwich (chicken, pesto, tomato, and arugula on fougasse, with a side salad). Café Angelique will definitely be added to our breakfast/brunch list and you'll definitely enjoy your meal(s), here.

I am unsure why the low reviews my experience was excellent. They make very fresh juices and clean wats! The staff was very helpful and inviting. Had their carrot apple and ginger juice which packed a punch but was perfect. Had their breakfast wrap and added turkey bacon which was the perfect protein addition. Will definable be back.

Lunch at Café Angelique on a random Saturday afternoon was simply delightful. Before the weather got cold, we ate outside under a huge tent with other surrounding tables. Located in the historic part of Tenafly by an old railroad station is Café Angelique. Food was delicious, one of my favorite parts was the big smoothie I ordered. My acai berries smoothie, first time I ever saw a restaurant serve it in a larger cup. Delicious. Service took some time to navigate from checking customers inside the restaurant to outside where we were in the tent. Well worth the wait. Can't wait to go back to try other menu items. All payment accepted, parking is available around the town.

Cute little place that we stumbled upon. It's a good coffee and lunch place. The sit down dining room has full service; the coffee and ice cream section is counter service. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, with a good size parking lot. The chicken sandwich was really good.

A nice cafe I come to when I visit home and my folks. Situated in the Historic Tenafly Railway station, the young servers are very friendly with a great attitude. They have a wall up coffee bar with pastries and a sit down cafe I had lunch this time and the vegetarian sandwich (I added Mozzarella) was very nicely done - god whole grain bread, eggplant, zucchini but well cooked (the eggplant being soft the zucchini lightly done to hold its crunch - plus avo and pesto My mom's omelette looked pretty good and she was happy. The prices aren't cheap $45 for two entrees and a cap and a tea, but pretty much on par with 2023...

Lovely spot that is kid friendly, with decent prices. I loved the turkey and swiss croissant sd well as the ricotta toast. Skip the slushy mint lemonade, doesn't have much taste. Staff are super friendly! Try it out

I was in town and decided to try Cafe Angelique for breakfast. They have a lovely seating area outside. The food is alright, nothing to really rave about. The matcha latte was lacking. At least the servers were nice.

This was an old train station converted into a restaurant. The inside is small but doable . They have outside tables which are great for brunch and good weather days. I had pancakes which are deliciously made. I had green juice which is really freshly made and tastes good. Must try if you're in the area.

Visited Cafe Angelique for brunch on a Sunday. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Their indoor seating section was Tenafly's former train station, and it still kinda looks like it. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken. My latte was well made, with pretty latte art. The food took awhile to prepare, but my shakshouka was delicious. It was 3 eggs poached in a thick, tangy, and slightly spicy tomato sauce, served with pita bread. I also got feta and sausage to make the dish even heartier. My girlfriend got the mallawach sambusak, which had a nice flaky crust, but we could have honestly just split the hearty shakshouka. Definitely my favorite shakshouka so far.

Ordered wings and a gyro dish--the gyro was excellent, while the wings were tasty but slightly chilly and a bit dry. Not bad, but not the best. That said, I frequently order their salads to go and always enjoy them. The kitchen staff could use some additional training, as a nearby table complained about their order. The younger staff members were very attentive and hardworking--perhaps they just need a bit more guidance. Overall, it's a solid spot in town with plenty of seating and a BYOB option. While I personally prefer the Westwood location for its atmosphere, this one is convenient and charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking.

Had an early Valentine's Day dinner with the wife the day before Valentine's Day. Brasserie Memere…read moreis an upscale French restaurant located in the Target plaza of Closter. The lighting is dim, the ambiance is intimate, and it looks romantic. I had made reservations so we were seated immediately. It's funny to note that the place settings were placed next to each other instead of across from each other at a four person table. We usually prefer to face each other, but when it's Valentine's day why not be cute? We ordered a few drinks during our dinner, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Memere 75, Avion en papier. My favorite was definitely the Avion en papier which had a slightly sweet, slightly bitter, citrusy taste. They had a pre fixe menu for Valentine's Day which unfortunately did not have the steak tartare i was interested in trying. But for $88, you get 3 courses: an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For our appetizers, we got the TARTARE DE THON (tuna tartare) and COCKTAIL DE CREVETTES GEANTES (shirmp cocktail). Between the two, i preferred the tuna tartare. The shrimp cocktail was good, but the only thing really special about it was the massive size of the shrimp and the freshly grated horseradish in the cocktail sauce. For our entrees, we got the CASSOULET DE CANARD and FILET MIGNON. The extremely tender duck leg confit was served with pancetta, white beans, toulouse sausage, and foie gras breadcrumb. It was rich, savory, fatty, and filling. All great words to describe food. The duck leg confit reminded me a little bit of a smoked turkey leg with the red coloring and shreddable texture. The filet mignon was served with pomme purée, wild mushrooms, and a bordelaise sauce. The filet was cooked medium rare as requested, but a bit under salted. The pomme purée aka mashed potatoes tasted like it was 50% butter so it was obviously delicious. Dessert was good, but my least favorite part of the meal. We got the TAHITIAN VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE and the VALRHONA CHOCOLAT POT AU CRÈME. Both were very sweet. The brûlée crust did not shatter well, but it otherwise had a nice creamy texture. The chocolate pot was covered in flaky feuilletine which gave a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate, but my wife found the brandied cherries overpowering. The cherries made me think of German chocolate cake. Service was excellent. Staff was quick to refill water and checked on us constantly. Pace of the meal was relaxed and I'd even say they were slow to bring us the check since we had been dining for over 2 hours. My wife wants me to bring her back for their bottomless brunch on a Sunday so I will eventually be back.

So as soon as I walked in, the first thing I got hit by was heat. It was extremely humid there. Within minutes of sitting down I was pretty uncomfortable with the humidity. One section of the café felt a bit cooler, but they didn't have any outlets. I really considered leaving and going to another spot... and an hour later, I did! PLEASE turn on the AC! I ordered an iced matcha latte (~$6) and it was underwhelming. It was powdery, tasteless, and there was way too much milk. It's hard to find a good matcha drink nowadays. Sigh. They do have an extensive food and drink menu. They offer coffee, tea, bubble tea, milkshakes, etc. Their food options are diverse and cater to breakfast (omelets, toast), brunch (sandwiches, salads, paninis), dinner (pasta, rice bowls), and dessert (gelato, pastries). Keep in mind their kitchen closes at 3:40pm (over 3 hours before they actually close???) and they stop making espresso drinks 30 minutes before closing. In my opinion, this café is more of a dine-in spot for a late breakfast or a light lunch. Nothing really stands out to me on their menu that I can't get at other places so I'm not sure if I'd come back. It is beautifully decorated and has a good amount of seating, but it's just not the most comfortable place for me to efficiently do work. I was just really turned off by the lack of AC and my disappointing matcha latte.
